Chapter 2 - LUSHII ch2: “Dead in a loop. "

LUSHII ch2: "Dead in a loop."

Beep! Beep! Beep!... Over and over.

Lucy starred at the screen. Her eyes red and watery from all of yesterday's bullshit.

She slapped the shit out of the alarm clock and went back to bed.

Two hours later… Aaaaahh! Abbie is running around the room looking like a mess red hair everywhere screaming at Lucy,

"wake up you dumbfuck we're late,"

"Late for what?" Lucy asked looking way worse than Abbie.

"Classes duh! Retard." Abbie ran across the tight little room stuffed to the brim with messy clothes and tons of novels about stuff you wouldn't be comfortable sharing with your mom.

Oh! And a few puzzles here and there.

Abbie's messy red hair everywhere as she whished and whooshed pass Lucy, who was now as sober-ish as she could be.

Almos all the 'sugar' gone from her head. They both got themselves ready for classes as frantically as they could and dashed as fast as they could out of the room and into the school halls leading all the way into their classes.

"I think if we really rush it we might make it to the start or end of history class," Abbie said as she was grabbing at her tie adjusting it.

"Wait if its history doesn't that mean we probably have a test right now… remember the one on 'old earth wars' and stuff. "

Lucy told Abbie while grabbing at the hem of her own dress straightening out.

Without another word they both stopped!

"Probably missing that test won't be the worst idea," they both said.

"Yea lets just walk it out nice and slow no rush."

Hence in a play to avoid having to take that test they just moved around the halls as slugishly as they could.

…it'd been a while now and the rays of sunlight bouncing off the hall walls suggested it must have been around mid day. The grey cold stone walls were made a little warmer by the light.

The girls hadn't noticed that they had been walking for so long already until…

"Hey! Is it just me or is this hall way getting um… what do i say, uh longer! Abbie said as she plopped her tired self onto the floor.

Lucy agreed and did actually notice and decided that they should use the stairs down the right to leave the building.

It must have been nothing strange, but there's no harm in being safe.

They headed for the stairs, Abbie grabbed onto the railing and slid on it hopping off at the end while Lucy walked behind her.

"Fuck! This might be bad," Lucy looked back into the hall when she noticed they ended up back at the start of their dorm room.

"Calm down we might just be seeing things its probably all just in our heads,"

"I don't think people share delusions or fucked up mirages Abbie!"

"Ok! So what is it then." "I don't know either lets just try to get to class again its probably nothing."

And so they did and it happened again and again and again, just when they were about to get off the last flight of stairs they end up back at the front of their dorm room. This happened atleast four times.

"Hmmm!!! So am not losing my shit or anything here Lushii but where were you yesterday and what the actual clown fuck did you do, cause that might explain whatever's going on right now."

"Um, well… hey how about." Lucy stopped talking and headed into their room and grabbed her baseball bat.

She walked back into the hallway where Abbie was, all confused looking and what have you. Lucy turned around starred right at the window gripped at the bat and smashed it open.

"Hey! What're you doing?" Lucy got closer to the window and told Abbie, "come on this might be the only way out."

Abbie thought about it for a minute and just agreed, since it probably couldn't be anything to off the walls like what's going on right now.

Both of them grabbed onto the broken window frame and lept outside. The window from their dorm room was about 3 storeys high but they would have rather taken the fall damage than stay trapped in the halls forever.

They had been holding hands when they jumped and still kept their grips tight as they free fell.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" went Abbie right before they hit the ground. "We probably didn't think this throughhh!!!" shouted Lucy.

BAAM!! Went the both of them as they crashed back into their messy little dorm room. Whatever weird fuckshit sorcery that was keeping them trapped in the halls worked outside too.

They both landed on Lucy's bed with a thud which hurt like hell.

"Ouch!" Went Lucy as she rised onto her feet out of the bed, "well out the window is a no go." -blurted out Abbie rubbing at her head.

They both sat at the edge of the bed and they were quiet for a while just starring at the walls, well untill Abbie broke the silence.

"Hey Lushii just one more time before I lose my shit right now…what really went down with you yesterday."

"What do you mean what went down with me?"

"Well like you were freaking out and shit last night and you were talking about what happened to you and how you strangely got back here despite never leaving our room," added Abbie.

"Ok here's the short answer its not like we might be stuck here all day long."

"Remember earlier in class when I told Lindesy to yeet that water bottle at me."

"Yeah i remember."

"And i got scared and shit, thinking it might hit me in the face."

"I totally remember now, you looked ridiculous," said Abbie a smile plastered on her face.

"Yea i know and i moved out of the way and it hit Macey right in her face… and she got so angry she yeeted it back at me."

"But the cap broke and she got drenched."

Hahaha! Both girls were hysterical, when Lucy finished.

"That was a nice funny little memory and all but that doesn't explain anything on what's going on right now! said Abbie a cold stern look on her face.

Lucy the airhead she is was still laughing till Abbie said that. Lucy faked a cough and broke her laugh.

"Fine i got really upset later and just stormed off out of class." Lucy told Abbie how she just walked out of school grounds to smoke in the woods and how she found that 'weird apple.'

"Weird apple, what do you mean weird apple… fruits don't just trap you in points through time and space, muttered Abbie.

"And that's why i didn't want to tell you I knew you wouldn't actually believe me but yea that's the truth all this is happening cause i ate some random fruit in the woods while i was high!"

"Ugh! Ok fine," went Abbie rubbing at the sides of her temples trying to digest their situation.

They were both quiet for a while, "Lush you know i don't believe in all that sorcerery bullshit… they're just stories right?" Abbie asked Lucy a tone of worry in her throat.

"I don't believe in any of that stuff either but how do you explain what's going on right now."-Lucy.

"You know we've got to try again right," Lucy told Abbie plainly. "Hmm, wha- oh you mean the halls." "Uuuugh!! Fine guess its not like we have any other options."

Abbie and Lucy both got up off of Abbie's bed turned to the door passed all the piles of books and opened it wide.

They starred right down the unending mess of a stoney hall and said in perfect sync,

"Fuck it lets just run through this shit!"

Both of them blitzed right through without a second thought, they were both moving so fast the hall and windows just looked like a grey blurry mass. Their hair together was all over the place a flowing mess they couldn't make any sense of.

Both the girls kept pace with each other long enough without the other losing their breath.

"Hey hey Lushii look over there that door wasn't there last time, I think we actually did it," shouted Abbie at Lucy.

Well that's how they hoped it went… spoilers it did not, Abbie tripped and hit the marble floor hard with her face taking in that sweet first impact.

The sound Abbie made hitting the ground was so odd and flat in the dead quiet halls that it startled Lucy who also ended up tripping her self. But Lucy didn't fall as hard or as bad as Abbie, she was just close enough to fall and grab the door midway pushing it open before she landed on the ground with a thud.

Lucy got up first since she wasn't as badly hurt as Abbie was.

"Hey Abbie you good, still breathing."

"Yea-(cough) i think i am!"

Lucy still staggering as she tried to find her feet peered into the open door way. It was dark and not just the regular kind of dark, it was pitch black like nothing you nor her had ever seen.

Our dear black haired maiden stooped closer and flipped a switch to try and banish the void. Though nothing happened. Lucy turned around to look at Abbie but noticed a sound coming from the darkness.

The sound was scratchy and ominous it sounded like something you never heard before an unexplained eldritch kind of screech.

Lucy peered at the door frame disgusted. The room was still as dark as it ever could be but she saw something, someone.

A bloodied banged up hand stretched out of the darkness and…
