The guild hall is crowded today, almost twice the number of people it usually bear, the old and cracky wood floor which yet to get fixed,
even after so many guild members complaint about it get stomps by so many steps goes here and there. The guild members swarming the place, all maners and ranks of adventures could be found everywhere in the hall, the swordmans and spearman parties sits and chattering loudly at the lobby, food and alcohols scattering in their tables side by side with their weapons. Some archers and crossbowman getting their supplies from the guild's staff, the Adventure's guild supports their skirmishers members by selling quietly cheap arrows and bolts. A few more adventures standing and gazing at the quest board, seemingly trying to pick up a quest which suits them.
"would you look at that rona, the lots of them." Said Lindy, the guild's receptionist.
"Yeahh...gonna be a bussy day i suppose"
There is two girls working as the guild receptionists, their job is to acept the adventure's quest assignment, and acknowledging them when the quest is complete and so giving the bounty and rewards for completing the quest.They also make a review of those adventures behaviours and such, to report it to the guild master and the executives, such reports will be used in the future days as for things such as rank's promotion as well as demotion. Lindy's been working in the guild for five long years and this week would be Rona's third years working, so that makes Lindy rona's senior.
"You remember that one boy, the one who takes the delivery quest two days ago?" ask lindy, seems trying to remember something. "What was his name again?"
"Rouen...you mean Rouen? Obsidian rank adventure?"
"Umm, yeahh...that one, what was his assignment again?"
Rona search some paper, she found it. "Delivering fifteen barrel of wine to the merchant of Doran's town, must be completed atleast five days after the quest is taken." She return the paper to it's place. "that means he got three days left since he takes the quest yesterday right?"
Lindy place her hand at her chin, the pretty girl seems thinking about something "yes, that's right."
"What's up lin? You were thinking something?" Ask rona.
"Uhh...well it's not something really matter though" she said smiling. "It's just the last adventurer i spoke to said that he canceling his assignment of escorting a small caravan to the city of Gliont, saying that he heard a rumors about the skori's forest, it said there are some bandits band dweling at the forest there, and already been raiding some caravans passing by. And since he is a solo one without a party, he said he wont be able to protect the caravan should it fall to the bandits atack"
"So he cancel his assignment and loosing some point?" It is know in the adventures world that quiting a quest would wound your reputation, it will decrease your promotion point and people trust on your comitment.
"Can't be helped he said, better that than dying after all he said."
"Well i supposes he's right then, that's what you got for being a solo ha!"
Adventures usualy go questing forming a parties like: three people would considered small party, five to seven people is medium party, ten and more is a big party. However some adventures did go by themselves without any friends, they were called the solos. There are some reasons for this, some thinking completing a quest alone will grant them much more rewards since they would be the only one reciving it, and some do it because they value their solitary live or because they just couldn't get along with the other adventures.
"Well he said it better that the quest taken by a medium size party, or he ask if maybe the guild would dispatch a new quest to hunt down those bandits so the roads near the snori's forest save."
"Can that be done?"
"Well i could talk to the guild executives about that...although i belive it would take some time though."
"And...why you ask about Rouen then?" She ask curiously.
"Ohh...that, i just though, the roads to the Goran's town that Rouen boy take, it also must go through the snori's forest isn't it?"
"Ahh...now you talk about that, it does make sense...you were woried about him aren't you sis?" Said rona teasing.
"Wait, what...? There's no such thing!" Lindy's face red, embarrssed.
"Ohh, wow...you so red now aren't you...and i only teasing you just a bit."
"I'am NOT"
"Go see a mirror then girl...hahah" she start laughing.
"Stop it! Teasing your senior, you up to some punishment eh?" *Bonk Lindy smack rona's head not to hard but enough to make her get the point.
"Ayyiieee...no please...sorry wont happen again...sorry i just want to lighten the mood since today gonna be bussy and we probably go home exhausted."
"Haahhh...it's not like you tottaly wrong though, i do worry about that boy a little."
"Eh, what's that?" Rona's interest picked.
"But not in any funny way! I'am much older than him you know!" Lindy said quickly.
"What's wrong with beeing older? What's work is work" rona said shamelesly
*Bonk "awww...stop hiting me!"
"You ask for it..."
"Aww...you are so serious sis, this is must be the reasons why you still singl-"
*Bonk "awww...nooo"
"Can i get my rewards for completing the quest, please." Said a youngman probably between seventeen to eighteen years old, face is straigh and handsome, although the water of it's face looks kinda grim, maybe because he's tired? He wore a black gambeson padded armor fully covered his sleves undernead the main metal armour covering his bodies, not such a fullplate body armour that covers all entire body, but still quite covering all his vital point nicely, some open space in the armpit section, that's how people can see he's wearing the black gambeson undernead the armor. Looking at his armour seems like he's a person who value a quick move in the fight, even though he wear quite a heavy armour, but with how it's desight he seems to suffer little of movement restriction. He strap his full metal covered helmet in his leather belt, he wear a dark gray robe which goes really well with his black gambeson and his metal armour was made by a darken steel, which give a glowing light platinum gray color, such a rare color it stands out and one can always recognise it the first time they see it. His choice of weapons though...kinda different from the many, he wield what they called a swordstaff, a sword like any other, but have a really long ends of it's handle makes it a long weapon almost looks like a spear but shorter, so it wasn't a sword, and it wasn't a spear. He carry it with a right hand but wield it with both hands when used at fighting. Altogether, his armament (and his face) looks really eye pleasing that sometimes people got a hard time believing his just a adventure who ranks only obsidian, he should atleast be at Bronze rank...but then again looking at his face and age, maybe he's indeed in the right place after all.
"Ahhh...emmm...yes, ofcourse! Ofcourse!" Lindy was startled, the very boy they were goshiping apear right infront on their eyes without any warning. She's strugling to get herself composed.
"Ahhh...it's you!" Speak of the devil they said...more carefree rona just spouting everything she wants to say without worry.
"Me ?" Rouen reply.
"Yes, we were talking about yo-"
"That's NOTHING!" quickly Lindy close the devil's mouth. "Your assignment right? Let me see it." She said fast. "Ahh...i see, this is the letter from the merchant of the Goran's town said you had send the goods safely right at their hands. Good job!" She said almost cheering, then she remembered, the snori's woods bandits.
"Ahh...that's right, we heard there are some bandits newly dwelling in the roads near snori's woods, raiding caravans and such...but it seems you were just fine, aren't you? You somehow manage to get pass there when they were gone?"
"I don't know...i, don't think i found any... bandits there." He said.
"Ohh well...that's good then!" Somehow it felt strange, but Lindy doesn't want to bring it up, after all the boy is safe and sound. She noticed something though, Rouen's armor were covered by some red filt, blood? It could be seen that Rouen probably temp to clean it briefly but not quite enough, there still some stains left on it. "You're saying that you don't found any bandits there?"
"Yes."
"Then, do you encounter any bad cicumstances in the roads?"
"...Nothing that i couldn't handle"
"I see...okay then."
