Akane Koizumi was thinking perhaps a bit too far ahead. At their current pace, their relationship would likely be official within a month or two. Once they established a "Fate Contract," meeting up would be as simple as a flick of a finger—or a teleportation spell.
Yuu Hoshimiya still had many secrets hidden from her, but once they became one and the contract was sealed, there would be no more need for deception. In fact, Akane would become his greatest accomplice in guarding those secrets. Yuu didn't call out Akane's lingering maidenly reserve, and Akane didn't point out the fact that Yuu was clearly salivating over her body. In this strange, unspoken harmony, Yuu concluded his magic lesson for the day.
After leaving the scented bedroom of the young witch, he followed his usual routine: returning to his apartment to soothe Ran, Eri, and Seimei, before teleporting to Akemi Miyano's side.
It was worth noting that since the suggestion of having Azusa Enomoto move in, the secretary had been absent for several nights. She was likely spending her evenings back at her own place, trying to convince her best friend to join the "household."
In the dead of night, after a vigorous display of "fairy combat" in front of the little girl—and helping himself to more than a few liberties with "Loli-Ai"—the day ended on a high note. With each passing day, Yuu was mapping out every inch of Shiho Miyano's faux-child body. Only her "mysterious garden" remained under strict guard, the final fortress he hadn't yet breached. It was safe to say that if Ai had an antidote to temporarily return to her adult form, he could have taken her right then and there.
Akemi deserved most of the credit for this progress. Without her "assists," things wouldn't have moved so smoothly with Shiho. Though never explicitly stated, it was Akemi who convinced Ai to stay for the "group sleepovers" and persuaded her to be more receptive to Yuu's wandering hands. Of course, it helped that Ai herself didn't actually find him repulsive; she was secretly curious and even a bit eager to explore these new sensations.
The progress with both Ai and Akane was pleasing, and the second movie event had concluded successfully. The Black Organization was busy relocating bases after Shiho's "mysterious escape," leaving the chaotic timeline unusually peaceful for five whole days.
But peace never lasts long in the world of Conan. The timeline skipped again, signaling a new incident. After some digging, Yuu realized it wasn't just a minor case—it was a massive event involving both the Phantom Thief Kid and Conan.
The third movie: The Last Wizard of the Century.
It started during a late-night chat with the Miyano sisters. Yuu was relaxing with one on each arm—though the one on the right was a pint-sized genius—when Ai offhandedly mentioned something she heard from Ayumi Yoshida. To Ai, it was just idle playground gossip, but to Yuu, it was a data dump of critical information.
By now, the identities for "Ai Haibara" and "Ai Haibara" (using different kanji) had been processed. Following Yuu's suggestion, Shiho had enrolled in Teitan Elementary to be in Conan's class. He had two reasons for this: first, to keep Conan close as a "human lab rat" for the APTX 4869 antidote research, and second, to stay close to the epicenter of world events to prevent the timeline from veering off in dangerous directions.
Without Professor Agasa to vouch for her, Conan had been terrified at first, but after seeing a "resurrected" Akemi, he had no choice but to trust the sisters. The three kids in the Detective Boys followed a similar trajectory to the original story, though Ai remained more distant from them since she lived with Akemi and Yuu rather than at Agasa's house. She didn't need to form deep bonds with others when she already had her sister and a man who "cared" for her so thoroughly.
Ayumi mentioned that she had encountered the Phantom Thief Kid on her balcony the previous night. That was the classic opening scene of The Last Wizard of the Century.
Yuu had been planning to wait for Kid's heist notice to talk to Aoko, but now he had a familiar script to follow. This movie was iconic, featuring two Russian-blooded beauties who left a deep impression on him: Natsumi Kosaka and Seiran Hoshi (Puryu Seglan).
He definitely wanted both in his collection. Natsumi was easy enough to court after the incident, but Seiran Hoshi was an international criminal—the sniper known as "Scorpion" who specialized in shooting out people's right eyes. If he didn't intervene, she'd spend the rest of her life in a prison cell. He much preferred to "re-educate" this Russian beauty himself.
To do that, he had to participate in the entire event. He wanted to see the intricate mechanisms and the "Imperial Easter Egg" for himself, but more importantly, he needed to secure Seiran.
August 17th, Summer Break.
The day after Ayumi met Kid.
Yuu immediately arranged a meeting with Aoko Nakamori. On August 19th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police would hold a meeting regarding Kid's notice. Then, the cast would move to Osaka between the 22nd and 26th. Yuu only had two days to act.
The meeting with Aoko went smoothly. They met in a private cafe booth at 9:00 AM and talked until 1:00 PM. Four hours of intense conversation. By the time they left, the cafe owner looked ready to kick them out, but the goal was achieved. Aoko left in a daze, her mind reeling from the secrets Yuu had shared. She needed to go home and decide if she was brave enough to sneak into Kaito's house to verify the truth.
Twenty minutes later, Yuu arrived at his next destination: the high-rise apartment complex where Ayumi Yoshida lived.
Looking at the luxury building, Yuu smirked. Many fan theories suggested the Detective Boys were all rich kids, and seeing Ayumi's near-penthouse residence confirmed it. He was here to "verify" the Kid sighting personally—not because he didn't trust Ai, but because it was a perfect excuse to build rapport with the kids and, more importantly, get close to Professor Agasa's "K-Tech" (Conan-Technology).
The gadgets—voice changers, power-enhancing shoes, solar-powered skateboards, and bulletproof lenses—were essentially black magic disguised as science. If he could get a set for himself, his combat effectiveness would skyrocket. He even suspected that Kid's gadgets, like the card-shooting gun, were made by Agasa, likely through a mutual connection to the Kuroba and Kudo families.
He pressed the doorbell at the Yoshida residence.
"Coming! Just a moment..." a mature yet sweet voice called out.
The voice belonged to Ayumi's mother. Yuu hadn't met her before, but considering Ayumi's cuteness and the family's wealth, he expected a well-maintained beauty.
The door opened just a crack, held by a security chain. A portion of a very pretty face peered out. "Can I help you?"
Seeing just that third of her face, Yuu knew his guess was right. If this woman wasn't blessed with eternal youth, she must have been a very young bride. If Ayumi was 7, and her mother looked about 25... she might have been a teenage bride.
"Hello, Ma'am. I'm a friend of Professor Agasa, and Ayumi-chan knows me as well," Yuu said, softening his voice to put her at ease.
Actually, the young mother's guard dropped the moment she saw him. Why would someone this handsome commit a crime? If he wanted money, he could just be a top-tier host!
"My name is Yuu Hoshimiya. You're welcome to call the Professor to verify."
