Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Thanks for the Invite, Currently in One Piece, Surviving on a Deserted Island

East Blue.

On a nameless, lush little island, a figure suddenly appeared out of thin air. Bam! Bai Ze crashed face-first into the sandy beach. He rubbed his aching butt and grimaced in pain.

"Didn't I just get flattened by a cement truck? Where the hell am I?"

He was even more shocked to realize that, aside from the spot he landed on, nothing else on his body hurt at all.

"Was everything just a dream? Even getting killed by the truck?"

While he was muttering to himself, a diary abruptly materialized in front of him. The way it appeared was extremely eerie and instantly caught his full attention.

Curious, Bai Ze examined the diary closely. The cover was mainly black with golden patterns along the edges. In the center was a swirling nebula made of stars sinking and floating in a starry sea. At the very middle of the vortex were two extremely ornate characters.

He didn't recognize the characters, yet somehow he instinctively knew they meant "Bai Ze."

Just as he was about to study it further, the cover flipped open on its own—as if an invisible hand had turned the page. At the same time, a flood of information poured straight into his mind.

"I… transmigrated? And into the world of One Piece?!"

Bai Ze's face was filled with disbelief. He loved One Piece, but actually waking up inside the story still left him stunned.

At the same time, a trace of fear crept in. The One Piece world was anything but peaceful. If he had arrived during the Great Pirate Era, nowhere would be safe!

"But luckily, the mysterious diary that brought me here gives rewards every day just for writing in it. I can use those rewards to get stronger!"

After digesting the rest of the information, Bai Ze finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He was genuinely grateful to this diary. Back in his original world, he had definitely been dead. Now he had a second life in the One Piece world—and maybe even a shot at standing at the very top. No matter how you looked at it, this was an enormous stroke of luck!

"I hope Mom and Dad are doing okay… Without their useless eldest son dragging them down, and with my much more talented younger brother and sister, maybe the family will actually be better off without me…"

A hint of nostalgia and sadness flashed through Bai Ze's eyes as he thought about his previous life and family.

Soon, he shook his head and pulled himself together. What's done is done. Time to look forward!

He opened the diary. A black-and-gold pen appeared in his hand out of nowhere, and he immediately started writing furiously.

Rule: Must write at least 1,000 words per day to receive a reward. Rewards come from all the heavens and myriad worlds—literally anything is possible.

Meanwhile, in Cocoyasi Village.

Nami cautiously hid away the money she had just collected—the village's life-saving ransom money. She couldn't afford the slightest mistake.

Just as she was about to leave, she looked down and froze. A platinum-covered diary had suddenly appeared right in front of her feet. Her heart nearly leapt out of her chest.

"What the hell is this?! It definitely wasn't here a second ago!"

Nami nervously glanced around. Seeing no one, she warily turned her attention to the diary. On the platinum cover were characters she didn't recognize, yet she could somehow understand them perfectly.

[Bai Ze's Diary – Copy (Exclusive to Nami)]

"Someone's diary copy? And why does it have my name on it?! Is this… made just for me?!"

While she was still hesitating, the platinum cover flipped open by itself, and the contents of the diary appeared before her eyes.

[Thanks for the invite. Just transmigrated to the Pirate World. Never thought I'd actually end up in the One Piece world, but it happened, and I'm surprisingly okay with it. Still, the manga is the manga—real life in this pirate world is insanely dangerous.]

Nami's big, watery eyes widened in confusion.

Transmigrated? Manga world? Pirate world?

She could read every word, but put together they made no sense!

Does that mean… the world I'm living in isn't real? It's just a story?!

The thought shocked her, but another part of her wanted to roast the name. Why call it the "Pirate World"? Because there are so many pirates?

She suppressed the urge to complain because new text was already appearing.

[Currently in the One Piece world. Time and location unknown. Stuck on a deserted island with zero fighting ability. First priority: survive. Gotta hurry and hit 1,000 words so I can get today's diary reward. Really hope the reward is something good…]

Reading this, Nami shook her head in disappointment. She'd thought a "transmigrator" would be some super powerful cheat character. Turns out he's even more useless than she is—can't even catch a chicken!

There are actually people this weak?

But when she read the next part—getting rewards just for writing a diary—Nami instantly turned green with envy.

She had to risk her life every day, stealing from rich merchants and pirates just to scrape together 100 million berries, while this Bai Ze guy gets free rewards for scribbling in a notebook?!

So unfair!

Nami was so jealous she was shaking. Her eyes turned red with envy, and her still-developing chest heaved slightly.

Far away in the New World.

Pirate Empress Boa Hancock returned from a hunt and glanced at her own platinum diary copy. She curled her lips in disdain.

"This transmigrator doesn't look like much. Hmph, the moment he sees this queen, he'll instantly be captivated by my beauty and fall to his knees."

Also in the New World, Marine Vice Admiral Momousagi (Peach Rabbit) Gion had just finished her rotation guarding the New World and was heading back to headquarters.

She looked at the diary contents with a trace of curiosity in her eyes.

"I wonder what's so special about this transmigrator… Maybe we could recruit him into the Marines and have him contribute to justice."

Grand Line – Alabasta Kingdom.

Nico Robin was quietly handling paperwork for Crocodile while secretly reading the diary. Her expression remained calm, but countless thoughts raced through her mind.

A transmigrator? And I received his exclusive diary copy… What does that mean?

What kind of change can a transmigrator bring? What does he mean… to me?

For the first time in a long while, the woman with an insatiable thirst for knowledge felt a spark of boundless curiosity toward a complete stranger—Bai Ze.
