Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:Kaw

The world snapped into existence with a scream.

Jack blinked, stumbling as the ground beneath him burned with chains and ash. Beside him stood a tall figure, wings folded at his waist like chained blades. Lucifer's eyes glowed faintly, amused at the chaos around them.

Jack looked down at himself, patting his sides. "Wait… you got wings? What do I get?" He checked his waist, his arms, his chest. Nothing. "That's not fair!"

Lucifer smirked, his voice smooth and mocking. "I didn't exactly order mine. Long story. You'll get yours… eventually."

Before Jack could argue, a sound split the silence. **Kaw.** A crow descended from the black sky, its feathers dripping shadows. In the center of its chest was a single, unblinking eye that glared at them both.

"MORTALS," the crow intoned, its voice echoing like iron bars slamming shut. "You have ten years to escape this prison… or suffer eternal suffering. But pity is granted. You will be given powers."

Jack's jaw dropped. "Wait, powers? Like… superpowers?"

The crow's eye flared. Three weapons materialized before him, glowing with hellfire: a pump shotgun, a sniper rifle, and a Glock. Jack's eyes widened, his grin feral.

"Hell YEAH!" he shouted, snatching the shotgun first. "Now we're talking."

Lucifer raised an eyebrow. "Guns. How… mortal."

The crow turned its gaze to Lucifer. "And you, fallen one. You will wield portal stars." Two axes appeared in his hands — shorter shafts, wide blades, perfectly balanced for throwing. They shimmered with celestial fire, remnants of his angelic past.

Lucifer twirled them, testing their weight. "Better than wings chained to my waist. I'll take it."

The crow's voice thundered once more. "Escape, or be consumed. The guardians await."

Then it vanished into smoke, leaving only silence and the faint hum of power in their hands.

Jack pumped the shotgun, grinning at Lucifer. "Alright, wing‑boy. Let's bust out of this prison."

Lucifer smirked, eyes narrowing toward the endless corridors ahead. "Then let's begin."
