Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Chapter Six

Ollivia leaves the premises, preventing any further chaos.

'Life sucks,' she breathes.

She's an overfilled pot of boiling water pouring with rage. Ollivia's devastated but mostly annoyed. She thought maybe the CEO will be kind-hearted because of what happened between them last but it turns out it was just a fling. She still doesn't know why the universe decided to bring them together, why the scary heart-tearing coincidence?

'What did I do to the universe?' She asks herself, holding her heels in her hand moving on the sidewalk.

"I hate that CEO. I mean, who the fu*k does he think he is?" She keeps muttering as she heads to Damon's house. "Dumbass brown hair, stupid blue eyes."

She sits on the step in front of the door of Damon's house. He hasn't returned yet, so she has to wait. She looks like a puppy abandoned under the rain. Ollivia cuddles her legs with her documents in her hands which contain her ideas for the company.

Ollivia huffs staring at the floor, her naked feet are all muddy from walking on the ground. Still in this state, she lowers her chin on her folded arms resting on her knees. Her eyes alight on a pair of fine corporate shoes. The long legs and from the aura, she can tell it's Damon who's pissed off standing in her front.

"What did you do, Olivia?" His voice is mixed with anger and tolerance at the same time, but more of anger.

Olivia's also angry. She's not in the mood and not a fan of tolerating. She's practically seen her future burn right in front of her. She's pissed as much as he is too, for whatever reason, the only reason she wants to pay attention to him is because he's the one with the keys to his house; which is where she stays now.

"What the hell, Damon? You just arrived and you're just spilling nonsense in the air. I mean, what could I have possibly done?"

Damon doesn't react to her bad attitude. He exhales. "I don't exactly know what you did, Ollie, but you're fired. The owner told the manager that you disrespected him. I mean… how?"

"Damon.."

"You can't have your spot back," the fury shows in his voice. It's like he's telling her after everything he's done for her. "I've tried talking with the manager but he doesn't listen. I don't know what's up with you but you've lost your job at the club. I'm sorry,"

He unlocks his door proceeding inside.

She thought rain couldn't fall harder but it just did, it felt lonely so it got accompanied by thunderstorms.

She doesn't react to this.

She sighs feeling the world is against her. Ollivia rises from the floor, going into the apartment.

It's now night. Ollivia knows during this time of the day, her boyfriend—ex, wouldn't be around. She doesn't want to see him, all she wants to do is pack up her belongings from the apartment they used to share.

She enters a cab driving towards the apartment's location. She closes the vehicle's door, taking a deep breath before heading to the place. She's pissed. She's angry at her ex-boyfriend, that dumb long black-haired dude. She was soo in love with him, it hurts so much to feel her heart shatter like this especially on a day she planned to celebrate with him.

Her best friend stabbed her at her back; the two people she trusted now abandoned her. She sneaks into the apartment using the spare key she possesses.

Olivia's arranging her clothes when she hears a creaking sound. Her breath subsides when she observes it's him. She's broken and exasperated but manages a straight expression, although a trace of hurt creeps through the cracks on her expression.

"What do you want?" Her sassy voice asks.

Jace is in the corner of the ajar door bottled in shame, flushed with a bemoaning look. "I wanna talk with you," he forces his way into the room. She still has a thing for him. Despite everything, he's still the one who caught her heart, the one who cared for her to this point.

She doesn't know how to feel, ashamed, hurt… but she sure is angry. It hurts seeing the person who's shown you unconditional love now as a traitor. If she wasn't Olivia, she would've burst in tears by now, but the girl standing in this room chooses to stifle her cry, bottle up her emotions as she has always ever since she was a child.

Jace falls on his knees hugging her and pleading. This action drives her mind in a car back to the past; reminding her of when her father —the devil's child, used to beg her mother.

"No. Get off!" She's hurt but tightens the top covering the bottle of her spilling-out emotions. "I mean, how could you?"

"I'm sorry. It happened too fast. Lea seduced me… I know you won't believe me but she did," he speaks with a crying voice, seeming as though he's sincere. "She.. she told me what goes on in the club."

She folds her arms in confusion. "What do you think goes on at the club?"

"I don't know," Jace sniffs. "I don't know who to believe. I was heart broken—"

"What happens in the club? Isn't it my job to dance? Is there anything there that'll prompt you betraying me? Tell me, Jace." Her ears are alert.

"That you.. that strippers hook up with the customers privately some times… for extra money."

She serves him a very hot slap. "And you couldn't defend me. I'd never do that to us. In what light do you see me exactly, Jace? You get as far as you can away from me." She doesn't finish packing completely but out of that rage she storms out of the room with only a few of her belongings.

She's walking on the street at night when suddenly, something kicks in. A harbinger feeling. Three uniform jeeps line up near her. She just knows. An energy soo strong she cannot ignore. Olivia is confused with why such strong energy would locate her.. she starts walking fast when she stumbles upon two burly men with intimidating looks.

She's shocked. She takes backwards steps still trying to analyze what could possibly be going on when two more men block her way.

Her memory flashes to Damon; she remembers when he was narrating what happened back in the club.

Damon said to her: "I dunno but they had to chase everyone out, I swear there were rumours about a dead body."

Damon exhales a breath. "We weren't allowed to see what was going on. They chased us out. There was an ambulance and all. Really hope nothing really dire happened."
