Chapter 1 - The Demon King’s Daughter is Too Kind

My Wife Is a Demon Queen

Writer :Sabbir Ahmed

The sky ripped open the night Elias died.

Or at least, he thought he died. One moment he was an ordinary blacksmith's apprentice blocking the strike of a bandit's blade. The next, he opened his eyes beneath a violet sky and found himself lying in a forest of glowing trees.

A soft voice echoed. "Human… why are you in my realm?"

Elias forced himself up—and froze. Before him stood a woman whose presence bent the world. Her ebony horns curled like obsidian crowns, her eyes glowed crimson gold, and a dark cape fluttered although there was no wind.

She was beautiful. She was terrifying.

She was the Demon Queen.

"I—I don't know how I got here," he stammered.

She studied him, expression unreadable. "Your soul slipped through a forbidden rift. That alone should kill you." Her eyes narrowed. "But it didn't."

A sphere of light appeared before her palm. Elias braced for the end, but the orb dissolved into gentle warmth instead.

"You carry no malice," she murmured. "Strange… and inconvenient." She turned away. "Come. If you remain here alone, my generals will tear you apart."

As they walked, Elias noticed her steps falter. Without thinking, he caught her arm. Flames flared at her fingertips, but before she struck, she winced in pain. A wound—deep, cursed, hidden beneath magic.

"You're injured," Elias said. "Sit. I can help."

"You? A human?" She scoffed—but curiosity flickered in her eyes.

Using the little healing knowledge he had, Elias tended to the wound. When the curse tried to lash out, he placed his hand over it—and something inside him glowed. The curse shattered like dust.

The Demon Queen inhaled sharply. "Your soul… it resonates with mine."

Before he could ask what that meant, she stepped closer, her voice suddenly soft.

"Human… no, Elias. By ancient law, a soul resonance forms a binding pact." She touched his chest, then her own. "From this moment, our fates—and our lives—are one."

He blinked. "A pact? You mean—

"Yes," she said. "You are now my consort. My husband."

Elias's heart nearly stopped.

And somewhere deep in the demon realm, the shadows stirred—aware that the Demon Queen had chosen a human mate.

The war for two worlds had just begun.
