Knights reach the village with Felix who was unconscious, the dead body of a girl and the dead culprits. Bastro was waiting at the village's gate, Nellie was not there because she was sick and sleeping at home that's why not inform of all this incident but Bastro knew he have to tell her later or after, Bastro saw that knights came out of forest and Felix was not awake which scared Bastro to the bones, all worst situations and thought came in his mind. He walked hastily towards them, "Felix wake up!, answer me!... why isn't he saying anything!" Bastro went crazy and started shouting at knights and even grabbed the collars of one who was holding Felix. "Sir Bastro please relax, your son is just insentient", "Ah sorry, truly sorry my mind stops thinking of seeing Felix like this" Bastro's tears went down and thanking god for his safe son then he asks "Did you find who did this?", "Yeah, we found them... but they are dead"
Bastro took Felix at home, knights took the girl at the knight camp where her mother was waiting and the dead body of culprits went to village's healer, after Bastro took Felix at home her mother was already awake and create a commotion and even after explaining everything to her it didn't end the somber atmosphere, next day Vomon came to ask about Felix "Sir Bastro, is Felix awake now?, we have to investigate about this incident" with serious expression Vomon ask, "He is not awake, is there any problem?" Bastro's face was agonized with Felix's condition and the news that another, the girl, died. "There is already a confusion that how both of the culprits died, for the archer we can conclude that he might have died with blood loss but mage's condition was perfect except mana depletion in his body, we check their body and this is the most shocking thing" Vomon stopped talking and take a sip of water and continued "… both of them's body organs were not present", Bastro's down mood lifted from the tensed conversation but with this incomplete answer he annoyed and said "Don't talk rubbish, how come their organs were not present and they were alive", Vomon hurriedly try to explain further "Wait-wait, when the healer opened their body what we saw was horrible, their half lungs, heart, stomach and many organs were not present, it was like they just vanish within their body."
"Ohh, I understand, you are trying to joke with me to lift my mood" Bastro start walking towards his workshop because he didn't want to listen this illogical explanation anymore, "Then sir Bastro do you have any idea why they die, you have more experience in outer world than me, you can come and check their bodies if you don't believe me, one child died in this incident so we can't leave her mother without any explanation" After saying this Vomon left but he created more confusion and stress in Bastro's mind, 'Felix, just what had happened their?'.
From the moment Felix came home till the next day, Nellie was sitting on his side, waiting for Felix to wake up "Fel, sorry.. if I would have went yesterday than this all did not have happened" Nellie had already cried more than five times and she still had fewer but she didn't budge from Felix's room, "Please stop crying and rest, I will stay with Felix, so go get some rest" Bastro came and it was his third time explaining this but "Hah!you go in your workshop, I will take care of my son" Nellie said in taunt and anger, she created a uproar in whole house just on the fact that Bastro sent Felix outside in heavy snowing. In the evening also Felix showed no signs of waking up which created so much agitation in his parents that Bastro had to bring one healer at home to examine his son. "His body is completely fine, mind also didn't suffer any injury but due to some reasons his mind is not responding to mana particles, it seems like that he is in coma."
This news completely shattered Nellie, she fainted and her conditions start degrading, Bastro was broken down with each day, his family is suffering a crisis that he can't solve with anything, one day pass, two day pass, four days pass, one week pass, two weeks pass, Nellie's health recover over time with medicines but the atmosphere of house was getting deeper in sorrow and despair. Bastro put down all the commissions and stopped forging for the time being, he went all day in either Felix's room or in the dining room, Nellie also stuck in Felix's room and in the kitchen just to make a meal but only one time because both of them almost stopped eating. This news of Felix spread throughout the village, people who used to come to his home also stopped coming by this disturbing incident.
Even after searching for weeks Vomon didn't find anything which could explain this story of death of culprits and ultimately stop the investigation until Felix wakes up.
At the village border gate a man came which was rather uneventful because at this time when winter is at its extreme cold days and the village is under continuous monster attack, no one prefers to travel unless they are merchants but this man… well he is special, long height, shiny silver hair till the waist, handsome build and face, he is the savior of Felix but rather in his noble dress up like last time, he was disguised as a mercenary. "Sir, show your verification card please" after checking his card guard knight allowed him to enter, "Can you give me the address of any good blacksmith?", knight hesitate to tell him first but he spit out after few seconds "Actually we have a very good blacksmith in our village but he is not forging for few days because his son is went in coma and many incident happens which is caused him mental stress" on this vast and more than enough but irrelevant explanation that man only replied with "Ohh…"
Bastro was sitting in dining hall looking at his leg with despair 'If my legs were fine, would this incident could has never happened?-' 'Knock-Knock' someone was at the gate but Bastro didn't care about anyone now so he just ignore it but after few minutes Nellie opened the door "Excuse me, is sir Bastro is at home?, I just want to talk to him", even though Bastro was at some distance from door and Nellie was the one who opened the door but Bastro can clearly hear everything, the house was dead silent, Bastro went at door to see who it was and by the look he understand that what this mercenary want but still decided to listen his request "Sir, can you please make one long sword, I have full paymen-" Bastro cut his line and said "No, I am currently not forging anything", Man was left with no words so he change topic "Sir, I know your son's condition but please make one sword, you know monsters are-" again Bastro cut in and said furiously "It has nothing to do with me, just leave!". Bastro shut the door and went into Felix's room, 'How cold, well I did expect some side effects from my blood, but he is rather better in condition, his body just taking time to merge with my blood' That man vanished with a cold breeze.
After three weeks in midnight, Felix's eyes open he saw his mother sleeping in chair beside him while holding his hands, room was not completely darkened but it was more gloomy than usual, a big mana stone was placed near his head which is shining brightly and he assumed it as some sort of healing device which was correct, he heard the sound of steps, doors open and his father was there holding a blanket but it slips from his hand, Bastro just saw that Felix has opened his eyes which was his biggest desired thought from last few weeks, he ran towards Felix, he hug Felix and started crying which cause to awake Nellie, she didn't understand for a second but when Felix turn his head towards her, the same thing happened to her as Bastro, both were crying like kids while holding Felix and saying 'I am sorry'.
Next morning the first thing Bastro did was to brought healer at home, "Perfectly fine, and no issues in body, but I will suggest a rest at home for three days to take adequate meal", after healer left and the line about food fit in Nellie's mind and she started preparing all the favorite dishes of Felix. Bastro's and Nellie's mood lifted and they were so happy that they stayed with Felix the whole last night. Felix on the other hand tries to remember everything that happened that day, but he remembers till the girl was stabbed with an arrow and after that he can't get through any further than this no matter how many times he tries.
Words of Felix's health first reach Vomon and he without wasting any time hurried to Felix's home, "Sir Bastro, I want to talk with Felix" he didn't even knock and just entered but this line made Bastro so annoyed that he start yelling from the first word "Are you an idiot?!, he just wake up!, get lost! he will not answer anything!" Vomon apologizes for coming so early but he still want to ask Felix about the incident, in the end Bastro keeps shouting and Vomon was going to leave but Felix came down because of the commotion and stop Vomon to ask "Sir Vomon, what happened to the girl who was with me?" Felix thought that they would have saved him because he forgot that the arrow was struck at head. "She died, don't you remember?" Vomon asked but it makes his Felix's mind blank 'Huh?', Vomon continues further thinking that Felix was listening "After two weeks from the incident, her mother also committed suicide…." Vomon tells other events to Felix and Bastro which they didn't knew about but Felix's mind simply space out on the situation of death and in no time he start cursing and blaming himself for the death of the little girl and her mother, this effects his mind so much that he went back in his room and lock himself for the rest of the day.
