They flew the bike to the edge of Sector 7. Below them was the Abyss. The white clouds swirled like a whirlpool.
"Inquisitor Drones incoming!" Rix shouted. Radar blips filled the screen. The Church had found them.
Three aerial drones with laser cannons swooped down. PEW PEW. Lasers scorched the metal ramp.
"Hold on!" Rix slammed the throttle.
The bike shot off the edge. They fell. The drones chased them.
Kaelen stood up on the back of the falling bike. He extended his hand. [Skill: Spore Cloud + Decay.]
He released a massive cloud of rotting spores into the air stream behind them. The drones flew into the cloud. Their metal casings rusted instantly. Their engines choked on fungal matter. BOOM.BOOM.BOOM. The drones exploded in mid-air.
Kaelen sat back down. They punched through the first layer of clouds. The light vanished. It was dark grey now. The pressure built up.

The blue System text flickered and died. Kaelen's interface went dark.
For the first time in his life, Kaelen was Offline.

The clouds parted. Below them, illuminated by the bike's headlights, was not a planet. It was a landscape of colossal bones. Mountains made of ribs. Rivers made of black blood. And in the center, a massive, ruined tower.
