Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Eye of Death

"System, track the mission target."

"Mission target 'Ethan's' location has been marked."

The golden light representing Ethan instantly lit up on the mini-map, showing that he had already run a considerable distance.

"This four-eyed fellow has some skills."

Daniel raised an eyebrow, quite surprised.

That seemingly weak NPC, actually had this capability?

Could it be that Ethan was a hidden God of War?

"Warning! Mission target's vital signs are rapidly declining, on the verge of death!"

"If the mission target dies, the mission will be considered a failure!"

"Alright, I take it back."

Under Tony's astonished gaze, the diamond pickaxe in Daniel's hand disappeared out of thin air, replaced by a 93R pistol glinting with a cold, hard metallic sheen.

"You are…"

"Wait for my good news."

Before Tony could finish, Daniel threw out a sentence, and his figure was already chasing in the direction of the light spot.

Just as he rushed out of the cave and rounded the first bend, Daniel ran head-on into several heavily armed Terrorists.

Seeing Daniel appear abruptly, the Terrorists were clearly stunned, then, in a panic, raised their firearms, and the dark muzzles of their guns all locked onto Daniel!

"Hands up!"

"Drop your weapons!"

"Crouch down!"

"Don't move!"

The Terrorists spoke a variety of languages, even mixing in some obscure minor languages.

However, Daniel could completely understand what they were saying.

This was thanks to the initial game settings where he had checked 'Let us speak Chinese,' and the system would automatically translate all languages into Chinese; similarly, what he said would also be converted by the system into a language the other party could understand.

"So, do you want me to move, or not move?" Daniel said helplessly.

The Terrorists seemed to be stumped by his question, exchanging bewildered glances with each other, unable to reach a consensus for a moment.

So, they decided to eliminate the person who created the problem!

Da da da da—!

The Terrorists grinned as they pulled their triggers, bullets pouring towards Daniel like Water.

Seeing that he was about to be riddled with bullets, Daniel's expression remained normal.

"Eye of Death!"

In an instant, the World seemed to have been put on slow motion.

The flow of time suddenly became viscous and slow, and everything around him was almost static.

Even the trajectories of bullets, which were invisible to the naked eye, now became clearly visible, slowly advancing through the air like snails.

In this almost frozen time and space, only Daniel's movements remained fluid.

His gaze swept over each of the Terrorists, and an dazzling red crosshair instantly appeared on the head of the locked-on targets.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The next moment, four gunshots rang out almost simultaneously.

The Terrorists didn't even have time to scream; their foreheads instantly burst into blood, and they crashed to the ground, maintaining their gun-raising posture.

"Skill: Eye of Death"

"Effect: After activating the skill, time slows down, allowing the user to mark enemies and rapidly shoot all marked targets, while also granting abilities such as bullet tracking, weak point display, infinite magazine, and temporary X-ray vision."

"Evaluation: I have a plan, a dog-egg plan!"

"Tsk, trash mobs, they don't even drop experience points."

Daniel curled his lips in disdain and continued to move towards the light spot.

The commotion here had clearly alerted the Terrorists, and chaotic footsteps rapidly approached him.

Bang!

A Terrorist had just poked half his body out from around the corner when he was shot in the head by Daniel, brain matter splattering.

The Terrorists behind him were scared out of their wits and immediately raised their guns, unleashing a frantic barrage of bullets at Daniel!

Daniel hid behind the rock wall, calmly pulled out a flashbang, estimated the general direction, pulled the pin, and threw it.

In an instant, blinding light erupted in the narrow passage!

"Ah!"

The Terrorists screamed and covered their eyes, as if they had seen heaven.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—!

After a series of precise single shots, the word "as if" could be removed.

Soon, Daniel fought his way to the end of the corridor and finally found Ethan.

At this point, Ethan's situation was not very optimistic.

He was slumped against sandbags, his face pale, and several gruesome bullet holes in his chest were gushing blood.

Seeing Daniel appear, Ethan, ignoring his injuries, shouted hoarsely: "Be careful! There's an ambush here!"

"Die!!"

The Terrorists hidden in the dark, seeing their target fall into the trap, raised their guns and began to fire without a word!

Da da da da da—!

Gunshots erupted, and dense bullets covered Daniel's position like a sudden rain!

Daniel reacted quickly, performing a tactical roll to hide behind cover. He glanced at the mini-map, where the red dots representing the enemies glowed brightly, exposing the Terrorists' positions completely.

"Good thing I'm not playing an FPS, otherwise I'd definitely be banned."

Bang!

A gunshot, and the Terrorist hiding in the corner instantly had his head blown open, falling onto a nearby companion.

"No, Johnny, I will avenge you…"

Bang!

Before the companion could finish speaking, a blood-soaked hole, identical to one on a certain President, appeared on his forehead.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—!

Gunshots echoed continuously.

Each gunshot was accompanied by a Terrorist falling to the ground.

The Terrorists discovered in horror that no matter how they moved or where they hid, Daniel always seemed to find their position and accurately shoot them through the head.

A ridiculous illusion arose in their hearts: they felt as if they were surrounded by him alone.

"Demon! He's a demon!"

The remaining Terrorists couldn't withstand the pressure and turned to flee.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Several bodies fell to the ground in response.

Daniel walked out from behind cover, looking at the tragic corpses scattered across the ground, his heart completely unmoved.

As a player, his heart was colder than a fishmonger who had been gutting fish for decades.

"Don't move! Otherwise, I'll kill him!"

A voice suddenly came from the side.

Daniel looked over, only to see Ethan being held hostage by a bearded man, a pistol pressed firmly against his Sun temple.

Perhaps wary of Daniel's marksmanship, the bearded man used Ethan as a human shield, tightly blocking him in front. His fat body was hidden behind a thin dog, creating a scene that was indescribably comical.

"Don't… don't worry about me…" Ethan's voice was weak.

Daniel didn't speak.

If it weren't for the mission, he might have considered killing Ethan first, so the other party would have no hostage.

The bearded man, seeing that Daniel seemed to care about Ethan's life, rejoiced in his heart and threatened harshly: "If you don't want him to die, throw away the weapon in your hand!"

"Alright."

Daniel cooperated unexpectedly, dropping the 93R in his hand to the ground.

Seeing this, the bearded man's face showed a cruel smile, and he unhesitatingly turned the muzzle towards Daniel.

"Hahaha, you're such a fool! Go to…"

Bang!

The bearded man's smile froze on his face, and he fell straight down.

Daniel, holding another 93R that had appeared in his hand at some unknown point, said innocently to the corpse: "You only said to throw away what was in my hand, but you didn't say I couldn't use what was in the inventory."
