Chapter 1 - chapter 1

The streets were empty, barely a car or human in sight as the dark of the night hovered above along with a bright full moon. When a portal of colours mixed with purple, blue white and yellow, as something came flying threw at high speed. Until impacting straight into the ground below a few miles from the town of Amity Park, causing minor disruption from the shaking impact. However, the portal they came through closed up the moment they came through it stopping anything else from entering. The crash sight was not as destructive most had expected, as it wasn't a aircraft that had landed, but a woman.

She had strawberry blonde, waist long hair, and fair peach skin like any white person would have, yet their clothing was odd and obviously not from this world or time, being ragged and dirty as if they had been in mud along side with broken chains on both wrists and ankles. Yet they had rather extravagant wounds, from scrapes and bruises to slashes in their delicate looking skin which were bleeding out on the dirt, it was sympathetic to see them so weak and feeble for a a young looking woman. Where they an escaped prisoner? If so from where or possibly when? No one really knows where that portal goes, and if the world on the others side is similar to humanity or far worse.

She was barely conscious, when they was brought back when a shooting pain sprung them up. Hissing and howling in a go using pain almost keeping them in the path their made within the crash, slowly sitting up with a hand tightly held against the open wound bleeding around their abdomen. With a better look their eyes were a beautiful shade of green, as they scanned their surroundings, using a nearby tree to gain leverage. Average female height, 5'7 (170.18 cm).

"Argh.. my waist.. it's killing me" she hissed peering down at their bleeding abdomen, being close to their side noticing a little piece of her intestine poking out. "Oh.. no" loss of breath they began to panic when gently grabbed around their abdomen, feeling how everything moved only opening the wound more, closing it in a panic as she groaned in pain. "I need.. to find.. help" they began to slowly move along, following the distant bright light that would be Amity Park.

It was surprising for them to reached the boarder that claims the town as its own, collapsing on a open road as a family van skidded to a halt, only inches between the woman and the car's bumper. A fair toned middle aged man along with his middle aged wife rushed out shocked expecting them to be dead, but a groaned slipped out of the unconscious individual altering that they weren't completely gone.

"Hurry! Call an ambulance!?" The wife exclaimed in pure horror at her husband, forcing him to quickly pull out his phone and dial the emergency line. The wife knelt down immediately checking on the woman, hearing the struggling breaths and blood slowly seeping from underneath them. "How long? They're going to bleed to death!" She yelled again not wanting an innocent life be lost on their watch.

"They said they're coming!" He yelled back still on the phone as the operator gave him strict instructions to ensure the woman remained alive, but to slowly turn them over onto their back. Just to be met by the open wound and almost threw up at the sight of their intestines fighting to come out. "Oh god.. I'm gonna be sick!" He gaged feeling it building up his throat, whilst the wife applied pressure to slow the bleeding and ensure that anything that would be inside the human body remained there.

"Oh yeah, just leave me to save this poor woman!" The wife argued glaring up at their man who turned to look at them, just to feel squeamish at the sight of blood an her hands. She then glanced down at the woman sympathetically. "Don't worry.. I've got you, just stay with me" she begged in a soft tone not caring about the blood, just for the stranger's survival.

"Nope.. I can't" he fought against the urge to puke, as they remained there until the ambulance arrived 5 minutes later rushing the stretcher out and loaded the woman in.

"Thank you ma'am, but we've got it from here" one of the medics thanked the brave wife and strapped the woman down and began IV for fluids, along with an oxygen mask to ensure they got enough oxygen as one of them kept pressure on the wound, whilst the ambulance sped back to the hospital after the injured was loaded.

The woman's identity remained unknown as their unique fingerprints showed no results on any potential matches, making them believe to be someone who was forcibly kidnapped due to their evident chains and clothing.

"Still nothing?.. damn, this woman is confusing our staff, but I believe she may have been taken at a young age way before they even had a chance to have their fingerprints taken. It only makes sense!" A doctor said after receiving more pointless information about their unconscious patient, who is now stable, stocked up and alive. Their blood type was O and other things that confused them leading to be sent to a lab for further testing.

"She was probably born out there in the wild. Used for one's use knowing no one will ever find a woman that doesn't exist" another doctor added agreeing without including their own opinion on the subject, as they looked at their patient who was healing miraculously better than much in their predicament, since most would either die or be stuck in a coma from major blood loss. Yet this one was only medically unconscious for their own protection.

Testing failed in all areas to find out what was up with their mysterious Jane Doe, after weeks of recovering they finally took them off the medication that had kept her asleep for so long during their recovery. Cautiously watching over them until they began to wake up an hour later, immediately sitting up and scan the unfamiliar room. Panic set in, frantically looking around and noticed the needles in their hands attempting to pull them out, before being stopped and restrained by nurses and doctors. Binding their arms and legs to the gurney.

"We can't have you doing that, ma'am. You could've seriously hurt yourself" a doctor scolded them as she continued to struggle to get out, like they were having no clue what they were saying. "Calm them down already!" He yelled demanding a drug to be given, as it was administered immediately easing them down, but remained cautious of the strangers who surrounded them.

"Who.. are you?" She spoke with a hint of fear and wariness in their voice, staring at the same doctor that had order the drug to be given to them. He let out a tired sigh not wanting to deal with another brainless patient.

"I'm Dr. Drew. And you're at the hospital recovering from some pretty serious injuries, lady. Now quit squirming before you end up getting yourself and my staff hurt" he answered with a scowl and walked off leaving her strapped to the gurney, defenceless and terrified in a place they couldn't comprehend.

"Hospital?.. so you save lives?" She confusingly asked wanting to know more, but he stopped giving them a judging look before continuing on to see the next patient on his list.

"Dr. Drew can be a bit sour, but he means well. We're also having some issues identifying you, so what's your name?" A kind nurse spoke gently to not scare or put anymore stress the patient was already under, which seemed to work slightly.

"My name?" The patient confusingly asked as they began to think within their blank empty mind, trying to figure out who they were. But nothing seemed to be coming up other than the first time they opened their eyes when entering this world with a crash.

"Yes, who do you go by?" They asked again being patient to await for an answer. Seeing the patiently deeply think to find a way around the issue, a name like it's there scratching its way to the surfer, but they can exactly put their finger on it.

"I.. don't remember.. is that bad? I have no recollection of who I am or where I'm from. I'm nothing" pain was evident on the patient's face when realising that they had no name to give them a purpose, as the nurse had a sympathetic glint in their eyes.

"You poor soul.. you'll remember eventually, I'm sure you will" the nurse spoke as they placed a supporting hand on the patient's arm, showing that kindness does exist in this world. Leaving soon after so the woman can think on what their name could potentially be, leading to a further diagnosis being made of them having amnesia from the supposed 'attack'.

They spent days within that hospital, before being released after proven to be healthy and no longer at risk. No name was ever given leaving to the woman remaining unknown, yet the description of them was dotted down incase such an incident with them ever occurred again. Yet on a dark cold night, within a abandoned building the woman laid asleep on the cold broken wooden flooring, tossing and turning as they began to fight through a horrific nightmare.

"N-no.. stop!" She yelled now laying face up on their back eyes glued shut, unable to wake up from whatever they were fighting.

??? POV:

Where is this place? How did I end up in here? I don't understand. Everything was black for a moment and now I'm in some sort of huge castle, being chased by blue fiery skull knights. They keep chanting this name.. Devina. Who the heck is that?

"Quick chasing me?!" I yelled running in this continuous hallway, as if continued to drag on no matter how far I ran. It's like it wasn't going to end anytime soon.

"Halt, Devina! You are to return back to your cell at once! It's by the order of the king to keep you there until the day you die" one of the knights yelled swords raised ready to fight, as a door creaked open within the corridor allowing me to dash over as a last resort and slammed the door behind me, whilst swords pierced through the wooden door. Almost hitting me as I stumbled forward turning to see them there before walking further into the room I had entered.

"Phew.. that was close.. one more inch and I would've been a goner for sure" I said to myself as I spun back around seeing that I was now in a child looking room, red and pink in colour appearing somewhat cozy the more I walked around feeling some sort of safety in here, or at least I did. "What's with this place? Is it trying to tell me something?" I thought gently feeling around on the freshly polished wooden furniture, as I approached a desk with a piece of paper laid on it. "Hm?" I hummed curiously picking it up and began to look at it more closely realising that it was written in blood. My heart skipped a beat, as it wrote the name again, 'Devina'. I flipped it around for something else to be there 'YOU' in full capitals as the door creeped open, but whoever was stood there made my body freeze up making it impossible for me to turn around and look at them.

"It's been awhile, Devina. You look well. Why did you have to leave? We were having so much fun together" the voice was dark, deep and horsed sending a terrified shiver down my spine as if my body recognised the man. And was he referring to me? Are these parts of my lost memories?

"W-who are you?" I asked with a stutter slowly placing the paper back down on the desk, refusing to turn to look at them. His chuckle made the situation worse as if he was mocking me.

"Don't tell me you forgot about me already? And here I thought you loved me" his voice was menacing and cold, clear that they didn't care about me nor my opinions. Making this entity a threat as my hairs stood on end. My blood ran cold as if the room was starting to turn to ice, so freezing that my finger tips were beginning to turn blue. "So sad to see you do though, but eventually you will remember me.. and when you do I will come back for you" he ended the conversation with a chuckle when hearing the floor creak the closer they got, making the temperature dangerously lower than anything my body could handle.

"Go... away" my teeth chattered wrapping my arms around my freezing body in an attempt to warm up, but failed miserably. His villainous laugh echoed and faded as I fell back into unconsciousness, before waking up from this nightmare in a cold sweat as my breathing was ragged and fast paced, struggling to control how much oxygen my body was trying to feed around my body. The light of daylight hit me, it was no longer night.

No one's POV:

The situation they were in didn't exactly make them feel any better, their current living situation wasn't stable, healthy or secure for anyone, but what else could she do? They're practically homeless unless they find a way to make a normal stable living.

"I need to find a job.. I can't keep living like this" she muttered under her breath, letting out a tired sigh before getting up and start finding for a solution to stabilise their current situation. Leaving the abandoned building they stuck in for the past few nights and headed out, to explore Amity Park.

Amongst the journey around the town, she came across a little flower shop noticing an old woman struggling with some boxes of flowers as people walked by ignoring them. This led to her rushing casually walk over, until standing a few feet away from the old lady.

"Excuse me, Ma'am? Do you need any help?" She asked in a friendly manner as the struggling senior peered up at them. Their face lighting up slightly with a smile.

"Oh you're an angel. I do hope it won't be too much for you though, but I'm too old and feeble to carry this crate of fresh flowers and seed into the shop" the old senior gently spoke an innocent appearance proved no faults or ill intentions, as the crate was lifted and took inside guided by the old lady. Before eventually placing it down behind the counter and let out a sigh. "What is your name, dear?" They asked causing her to pause and anxiously rub the back of their neck not sure how to respond, before remembering their nightmare.

"D-Devina, ma'am. And this place is rather beautiful to work in, so magical and refreshing to look at" she responded appearing taken back in awe at the shop's interior design and flowers on display, growing and flourishing with every caring hand that tended to them.

"I can always use with a some help, and you seem like the kind of person to love these plants as respectfully as I do" the old lady added offering a place for them, despite barely even knowing them, but Devina took no chances and took the opportunity.

"I am homeless though.. I don't have what most people have, but I will do everything in my authority to ensure these plants get their rightful nutrients and attention" Devina said with determination burning in their eyes, bringing a more brighter smile on the shop owner.

"Delightful! Then you can stay here with me, I'd love the company" the senior was overjoyed to have a guest, as Devina gave them a confusing glance. Since none of them knew anything about one another, so one of them could potentially be a murderer.

"But, ma'am. We don't even know each other at all, it's a bit too soon" Devina responded sharing their concern on the sudden invitation, but the woman just laughed heartedly at how worried they were about the whole situation.

"Don't be silly. You can call me Sasha, and from now on you're apart of not only my business, but my family too" introducing herself finally whist openly accepting Devina like she was someone they could trust and depend upon. This brought a warm feeling within Devina when hearing such kindness and honesty out of this woman, despite her being close to perishing, but it was probably the best thing that could ever happen to them.

"I won't let you down, Sasha. Especially after I get my own certificate to prove that I live in this town.. I feel illegal" Devina was hesitant to even be caught by any authority as the senior laughed at them again, not even bothered by this at all even offering to help with that too. Easier said than done.

And in a few months Devina was now a legal citizen of Amity Park and a living individual amongst other human beings. Sasha even made a personal apron for her new employer way before then, but her presence helped flourish the business and productivity with every plant they owed within the shop. Ranging from flowers to eatable vegetables and herbs for cooking, as well as high nutritious soil and plant pots of different kinds.

"The summery season always brings out the most beautiful of sunflowers, don't they Sasha?" Devina spoke admiring one of their hand growing sunflowers within the display case, absorbing the Sun's rays ensuring it a delicious meat for its photosynthesis process. Sasha watched from the counter with a gently smile, seeing the sunlight beamed through the glass directly on Devina as she turned to look at them.

"Indeed they do, but none of them can ever outmatch your smile, dear" Sasha softly laughed feeling no regret in their actions of taking in this once lost soul, now full of life, love and appreciation for everything they've accomplished so far.

"It wouldn't have been possible if you hadn't took me in.." she said turning their body around to look at Sasha once more, before interrupted by a customer coming in through the door causing the bell to ring notifying them of their presence. "Hello! How may I assist you on such a nice day?" Devina walked over to the customer, a young woman along with their friend who appeared to be looking for some seeds to plant in their garden.

"Yes actually. I was wondering if you sell vegetables here?" The woman asked hoping that they sold such products, and luckily for them they do. Devina gave them a gentle friendly smile, following everything Sasha had taught her about working with other people, but fought back the anxiety and shyness whenever confronted with such obstacles.

"Yes ma'am. They're just over there near the roses, choose whatever you're searching for and let me know if you need anything else" Devina pointed over at the beautiful red roses they had recently had delivered, allowing the women to walked over and took a look at their options.

The bell rang again, this time a man having grey hair tied up in a pony, blue eyes and was wearing a expensive suit. Sasha seemed to know him and immediately took over, Devina was confused on this sudden change and returned to the counter serving the previous customers.

"Oh, Vlad. It's so good to see you on this fine day. What is it today? Lily's, pansies or even roses!" Sasha was practically kissing his shoe with how eager she seemed to sell this one man some flowers, it was oddly suspicious on what's really happening between them. He hummed at the suggestions before turning to look at Devina, his eyes lit when seeing her warm beautiful smile, tenderly feminine voice and how her eyes glistened with the Sun's rays.

"Who is that?" He was left breathless his eyes glued on her, as if he had already picked the flower he desired. His heart beating rapidly the more he stared at her like he was on drugs, needing her as if she was his high.

"That is my assistant, Devina. She is big help in the shop and has brought great value to the business" Sasha answered as her gaze turned to look at her, seeing how drawn he was to them. It was clear that he was already deeply in love with this woman.

"She's.. perfect" he muttered subconsciously as Sasha laughed heartedly at his words before he picked up a mixture of blue and green Dahlias, and brought them to the counter where Devina was waiting greeting him with a smile.

"You picked quite a selection, what's the occasion?" She asked as he looked down at the Dahlias then back at her, his expression softened as he hand them over for her to tie and calculate the price. His gaze never leaving their face. "You are aware a bunch of these flowers can be expensive, right?" Devina asked after noticing the price, £30 for how many he has picked of each colour he wanted.

"Doesn't matter, I can afford flowers. What is it? £20 or possibly £50? I do not mind as this is little compared to what I'm sure to buying these days" Vlad responds being a little proud of his status and how much money he makes every week or even month. She was a little confused when seeing their confident expression, as if he was trying to impress her in a way, but she wasn't interested in rich men or money.

"It's £30, sir" Devina gave the price as he instinctively paid in dollars, purposely touching her hand once she reached out and grabbed it. This was oddly uneasy for Devina as she felt uncomfortable of his advances, but showed no reaction to his little attempt to touch her.

"See you around" he left with the flowers allowing her to sigh with relief once Vlad gone out of view.

"Don't worry about him. He does it to everyone he takes a liking to around town, he is the mayor" Sasha spoke up defending him as if he had the right over people like they were objects to him. Devina was determined not to let that happen, their body burned with energy to work hard to remember who they are. And maybe it may lead to where exactly she originally came from.

Will she be able to come to a realisation that this world isn't exactly as safe as she believes it is? Or will they be able to unlock the lost memories they had sustained from the crash?
