Chapter 1 - prologue

--

As I stared at my PC screen, the words **GAME OVER** appeared in bold, dark red letters, followed by the message: *"Please wait for the release of the next sequence."*

I couldn't help but reflect on how it's been ten years since the launch of *Heroes War*. Currently, there are 13 sequences available, and the final one is about to be released—the climax revealing the main story of the world of Gaia.

In this game, you choose your race and pick from two heroes—a male or a female—to embark on your adventure. *Heroes War* is a classic RPG where heroes battle demons, striving to complete the game's quests and challenges.

Each journey begins with your race selection, and from there, you start your adventure at one of the five academies within the alliance of thirteen. These academies represent the diverse races of Gaia, from humans to dragons and many others. The ultimate goal is to enter the prestigious Lunar Academy, where the true story unfolds.

Today marks the release of the final sequence, and I couldn't be more excited to dive in and see how the story concludes.

Each sequence tells a unique story centered around a distinct race. To clarify, the world of Gaia comprises 13 continents, each dominated by one of twelve races:

- **Sequence 1:** Humans

- **Sequence 2:** Elves

- **Sequence 3:** Beast Folk

- **Sequence 4:** Dwarves

- **Sequence 5:** Merfolk, who inhabit the seas

- **Sequence 6:** Vampires

- **Sequence 7:** Werewolves

- **Sequence 8:** Giants

- **Sequence 9:** Angels

- **Sequence 10:** Devils

- **Sequence 11:** Fairies

- **Sequence 12:** Phoenixes

- **Sequence 13:** Dragons

With the final sequence finally here, I'm eager to experience the conclusion of this epic saga.

As I was crossing the road, suddenly a raging truck slammed into me, causing me to die. When I opened my eyes, I realized I had been transported to another world. How did I know it was another world? Because I saw someone using magic. As I looked around, trying to figure out where I was, a sudden headache struck me and I blacked out.

When I opened my eyes for the second time, I started to rub my forehead. I was in the world of Gaya, a magical world—and the same game I used to play. I was the main character. I would have been praying to the gods to save me, but I wasn't. The good thing was, it was ten years before I was able to join the academy. I was currently in the body of a five-year-old child.

As I looked around, suddenly a blue screen popped up right before me.

{Loading... loading... loading... loading... loading successful. Congratulations, Host, you have been chosen by the World Creation System. The system is binding with the Host, please don't resist. Binding successful. Congratulations, Host, for getting the Newbie Gift Pack.}

I stared at the light blue screen in disbelief. I had a system, just like in all the novels I had read, and it was actually working! I didn't know what my system did, but its name sounded interesting. I asked the system to open the Newbie Gift Pack.

{Congratulations, Host, for getting World Creation Skill. Congratulations, Host, for getting DNA of Species x10. Congratulations, Host, for getting Experience Share. Congratulations, Host, for getting Talent Share. Congratulations, Host, for getting Power Share. 1000 WCP (World Creation Points).}

As I read the list, question marks started to fill my mind. I asked the system to explain what they meant and what exactly the system did.

{The Host System allows you to create worlds inside your soul where you can create species that will inhabit these worlds. As your worlds grow, you can share their experience, power, and talents. You can also create other worlds, each with their own power systems.}

That was actually powerful. I thought of the main characters I had read about—each with their own unique bloodlines, talents, or systems, and some even had all three at once. I felt a little down.

{Don't worry, Host. In time, as long as you create a power system in your world and your inhabitants use it, you can become stronger than any of them—rapidly. So, would you like to create your first world?}

"Yes," I replied.

Suddenly, my vision blurred, and when I opened my eyes, I saw an infinite black void.

"Where am I?" I asked.

{In your soul, Host.}

"My soul?"

{Yes, Host. Normally, a person's soul is a representation of their true self. In your case, your soul will represent every inhabitant living in your worlds.}

"Okay, let's make my first world."

{Yes, Host. The process of world creation begins.}

A sudden, erupting light appeared in front of me, causing me to close my eyes. When I slowly opened them, I saw a blue planet with a large brown patch in the middle.

I was about to ask the system about it when the screen replied:

{Congratulations, Host. You have created your first world! Hidden Quest completed successfully! Rewards will now be given accordingly. Congratulations, Host, for receiving Knowledge Share and 100 World Creation Points!}

"System," I asked, "you gave me experience, power, knowledge, and talent shares. What do they do?"

{Here is the description for you, Host:

Experience Share – Allows your inhabitants to share their experiences, such as combat experience, with you.

Talent Share – Allows your inhabitants to share their talents with you, like cooking, combat skills, and more.

Power Share – Allows your inhabitants to share their power systems with you, such as magic, chi, ki, etc.

Knowledge Share – Allows your inhabitants to share their knowledge with you, including how to craft soap, furniture, and other skills.}

"Wow, that's awesome! When can my world produce its own inhabitants?"

{You can use the DNA of Species x10 that you have.}

"Yes, do that."

{Distributing DNA species in the world.}

I looked at my world but nothing happened. I was about to ask the system what was going on when it replied:

{Host, it takes billions of years for life to grow inside your soul. Time moves faster in your soul than outside, but it will still take a long time for inhabitants to appear.}

"I understand, but can't I speed up the process?"

{Yes, you can, by using WCP. The current time ratio between outside and inside is 1:10,000 hours. You can increase it by adding another zero, but it will cost 1000 points. You currently have 1100 points.}

"Yes, do it."

{Yes, Host. Consuming 1000 points to change the ratio from 1:10,000 to 1:100,000 hours.}
