Research Objective
To establish the Official Species Classification System for the Mixed-Species Era, in response to the rapid and diverse expansion of multi-species populations following the initiation of the era by the "Purple Witch." This system is designed to support legislative development, public health policy formulation, and joint security operations in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Magic (FBM).
Population Classification in the Mixed-Species Era (20XX)
In response to the sudden and widespread emergence of new species populations within a condensed timeframe, the central government and the Federal Bureau of Magic (FBM) convened to construct a unified categorization framework. Populations are formally classified into the following primary groups:
1. Humous
Definition:
Populations classified as Humans or as species whose physical appearance and evolutionary development closely resemble humans.
Description:
This category includes species possessing anatomical structures nearly identical to humans and retaining the ability to integrate into human social systems with minimal physical or biological limitation. The classification emphasizes fundamental lifestyle compatibility, including nutrition requirements, habitation suitability, and behavioral coexistence.

Definition:

Description:
Bestia species maintain distinctive animal traits while demonstrating advanced intelligence, social organization, and autonomous civilizations equivalent to those of humans. Classification within Bestia is essential for addressing biologically specific needs, including hunting instincts, breeding cycles, territorial behavior, and hibernation patterns.

3. Occult
Definition:
Populations associated with dark arts, curses, or origins derived from interactions with dark energy or extra-dimensional sources.
Description:
Occult populations interact directly with energy historically categorized as "abnormal" or "forbidden." This classification is considered critical to both magical regulation and public security, as these populations frequently exhibit traits or abilities capable of destabilizing the ambient magical system or requiring legal restrictions under sunlight exposure or standard magical statutes.

4. Altos (The Gifted / Mystical)
Definition:
Mystical populations whose species inherently possess elevated magical or natural energy capacities as a defining biological characteristic.
Description:
This group typically consists of species with substantial connections to natural magic or possessing complex internal magical structures exceeding those found in ordinary humans. The classification primarily facilitates regulation of magical education pathways, power development protocols, and ecological management coordination.

5. In-Between Categories
Definition:
Species whose physical morphology and energetic composition overlap with more than one primary classification.
Description:

Definition:
Populations that cannot be definitively categorized based on current physical, energetic, or metaphysical classification standards.
Description:
This category is reserved for unidentified phenomena, emergent species, and individuals exhibiting undocumented or contradictory energy signatures, including officially designated Anomalies. Continued classification development in this category remains a core research priority and is considered critical to high-level security preparedness conducted jointly with the FBM.
