Gerry's POV
Walking toward my car while dabbing blood from my busted nose, I fish my phone from my pocket with my free hand. The metallic taste fills my mouth as I dial.
Alpha Sam picks up on the second ring.
"We've got a serious problem," I state without preamble.
"What kind of problem?"
"She found her mate. He's right here at the Academy. You better figure this out fast, or our contract becomes worthless. You know exactly what that means."
His growl rumbles through the speaker. "I should never have allowed her to leave. This mess is partly your fault too. You agreed to let her attend that damn school."
"Maybe so, but you're the one who's going to clean it up," I snap before ending the call.
I reach my vehicle and place the phone on the hood, then grip my nose and snap it back into alignment. Dolph immediately begins working his healing magic on the damaged cartilage.
We should have eliminated him when we had the chance, my wolf mutters darkly.
