Joseph's POV
One day soon, I'm going to carve out the time I need to properly mark my mate. The constant interruptions every time I finally get a moment alone with her are driving me to the edge of my patience. But I understand that now isn't the right moment. She's correct about our situation - we have waves of wolves arriving, and as the first group enters our territory, I can see that Dorothy will be occupied for hours.
The moment they begin filing in, Dorothy transforms into her professional mode, bringing Adaline alongside her as she moves between patients. She explains each procedure and decision to Adaline while examining the newcomers. Grabbing a clipboard from nearby, she thrusts it into Adaline's hands.
"Document everyone who arrives and assign them a triage priority," she instructs.
