Chapter 17: Black and White Spider
The Sun was about to set, and an orange-red light streamed through the window, falling upon Raven.
She felt the warmth of the afterglow on her body, her eyes fixed on the ward door, as tranquil as a cat.
Just as her eyelids grew heavy and were about to close, the ward door was pushed open, and a figure, whose mere sight brought her warmth, appeared before her.
Lynn… she silently repeated his name in her heart. Although she still couldn't let down all her guard, every one of Lynn's actions made her trust him more and more.
"Your injuries have recovered quite a bit. You can eat something now."
Lynn placed a dinner tray on the small table by the hospital bed.
While Raven was still unconscious after her surgery, Lynn took some time to buy groceries.
Originally, he had prepared them for tomorrow, but who knew Raven would request a body-enhancing serum, and moreover, insist on the injection even after knowing about the terrible side effects.

A small bowl of rice porridge, a plate of green vegetables, and a sliced apple.
A perfect Chinese-style hospital meal.
"Eat a little less; you haven't fully recovered yet."
Lynn said with a smile, then sat down on a nearby chair.
Raven nodded, and as she took the first bite of warm porridge, that warm feeling spread from her mouth all the way to her heart, and her eyes suddenly welled up.
But the next instant, she quickly used her mutant ability to control the tears from flowing, almost burying her head in the bowl.
Lynn watched this scene, filled with emotion.
What had she been through to have her emotional defenses broken by a hospital meal?
Ding ding ding!
Lynn's phone suddenly rang.
He glanced at the number, his eyelids twitching.
It was his dad.
Oh no!
He forgot about tonight's dinner party! His dad placed great importance on punctuality.
He took a deep breath, making his breathing slightly more hurried, then answered the call.
"Lynn!"
Zeus's furious roar came through the phone.
Lynn quickly replied in an anxious tone, "Dad, I'm stuck in traffic. I'll be there right away!"
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end, and the previously angry voice turned gloomy.
"You can fly, can't you?"
"Ah, I forgot!"
"Hehe."
Listening to the sneer, a cold sweat appeared on Lynn's forehead.
"You have three minutes."
Zeus said coldly, then hung up the phone.
Lynn let out a sigh of relief, seeing Raven looking at him curiously.
"Cough, I have something to do and need to leave. You rest well here."
As he spoke, he took out a pen and paper from his jacket, wrote down his phone number, and handed it to Raven.
"Call me if anything happens."
With that, he quickly packed up the dishes and strode out of the ward.
Raven watched Lynn leave, her body tensing up again.
Although she knew it would become increasingly dangerous to stay here, she thought, "Tomorrow, after my injuries heal, I'll say goodbye to Lynn and leave!"
She murmured in her heart, hid her head under the blanket, and soon fell asleep… Lynn sped through the sky, flying towards Stacy 's apartment.
The Raven in this World was much younger and 'weaker' than Mystique in the plot.
Not weaker in terms of mutant abilities, but in terms of mindset and experience.
This Raven was like a small flame battered by wind and rain.
"What exactly did she go through before?"
Lynn murmured, a hint of curiosity rising in his heart.
Just as he flew near Stacy 's house and was about to find an inconspicuous corner to land, his pupils suddenly contracted.
"Is that… Spider-Man!?"
He looked at the figure wearing a black and white Spider-Man suit, swinging on webs between buildings, surprise flashing in his eyes.
As his gaze fell on Spider-Man, he also sensed his gaze and immediately looked up into the air, and Spider-Man's excellent vision clearly saw Lynn's face.
Spider-Man, wearing the black and white suit, shivered, almost losing his grip on the web and falling from mid-air.
Lynn chuckled inwardly, waved at Spider-Man, and under his gaze, openly landed near Stacy 's apartment.

Gwen chuckled, not daring to look at Lynn, and turned to walk towards the living room.
"Brother Lynn is here!"
Lynn quickly took two steps to catch up with Gwen.
"We haven't chatted in a long time. Let's talk later."
Upon hearing this, Gwen's face instantly fell.
It's over!
He really knows my identity!
But, maybe not.
Perhaps he just wants to have a simple chat with me!?
Gwen still held a glimmer of hope.
"Your collar is showing."
Lynn said to Gwen, smiling as he walked into the living room.
Gwen quickly touched her neck.
But the next instant, she reacted.
She had already taken off her suit, so how could it be showing?
Damn it! I was tricked!

He really knows!
