That morning at school, Sofy and Max were walking through the junior block, when some junior girls started running to max with so many chocolates and gifts
"Senior please have this"
"and give this to Melvin too"
"Max...… I love you"
"senior please sign this"
"Max...…. pls can I take a selfie"
"Max I've been crushing on you since first grade please notice me"
"Tell Melvin I love him so so much"
The screaming from the girls made the block noisy so Max had to quickly sign all the books and take selfies then collected the gifts then hurried to the beverages lot with Sofy by his side
"I remember the last time I passed here with Melvin, the girls couldn't stop mumbling" Sofy said as they both giggled gently
"Those girls are something else, thank God juniors are restricted from our block, else our class will always be crowded during prep" Max said
"And our cafeteria are separate from theirs" Sofy added "I'm sure they stalk you guys on socials" Sofy giggled again
"So what were you going to tell me" He asked softly as he drew closer to her
"Tell you ?" Sofy asked looking dumbfounded seems like she forgot what she was going to say bcuz of those junior girls
"About prom" Max replied
"oh, I want to be prom queen but I'm not sure they'll nominate me" Sofy said slowy
"I'm sure the prom committee have been looking into you, you'll definitely be nominated" Max replied gently as her drew closer again, held her hands and stared intensely into her eyes with love and care
"But what if I'm not prom queen" She muttered slowly with a sad voice
"do you badly wanna be prom queen" Max asked softly
"Yes, I just want to be known for something before leaving high school, cuz I'm never gonna be the best graduating student" Sofy sob again
"Don't worry, you just have to convince the junior students to vote for you cuz most times juniors are the one who increase votes" Max said
"what about Capri"Sofy asked
"she's only gonna boost her votes with her popularity, the Prom queen can be anyone not only Capri, and moreover she won prom queen for junior year so I'm not sure she'll win again" Max replied
"What about you are you contesting" Sofy asked
"Nah, I won junior year so it's only fair for Melvin to win senior year" Max replied
"Awww that's so sweet that you do that for your bestie, but what if you're nominated" Sofy said
"I'll reject the nomination" Max replied gently
"Silly me worrying about prom, when my boyfriend is a celeb" Sofy giggled
"So you want me to handle your elections" Max asked
"yes cuz with you they will easily vote for me" Sofy giggled again
"don't worry anything for my baby" Max replied as Sofy continued smiling with joy on her face. They both started stealing glances from each other intensely, Sofy sips her drink gently and carefully as Max continued staring at her.
