Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Lu Yi didn't reject him immediately. Instead, he asked Nick Fury with a faint smile and deep, unreadable eyes.

He had never intended to break ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. In fact, they held many resources that could prove useful to him. Maintaining a temporary cooperative relationship would be beneficial—and now was the perfect time to extract some advantages.

As Lu Yi looked at him, Nick Fury felt uneasy, but he clenched his jaw and held his ground. Changing his stance now would only make Lu Yi feel insulted.

"Of course. As long as it's something I can do."

Nick didn't lay all his cards on the table. He deliberately left some room for maneuver—to avoid being pushed into agreeing to something outrageous.

"Don't worry," Lu Yi said casually, "you will be able to do it."

"So, what do you want?" Nick Fury nodded cautiously.

"Relax," Lu Yi said. "We should find a quiet place to talk. This is not the right place to discuss what's coming next."

"Alright. Would you like to talk on my jet?"

"Sure."

Lu Yi, bold and fearless, didn't for a second worry that Nick Fury might try to trick him. He simply followed him onto the S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft.

Stepping inside, Lu Yi glanced around. Aside from resembling a Quinjet externally, the interior was far from the advanced one seen in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This was smaller, less sophisticated—clearly an early version.

Nick Fury led him down a narrow corridor to a sealed conference room.

The chamber was built entirely from some special metal. The walls gleamed with a unique alloy sheen, and its defensive capability was without question. For an ordinary person, escaping would be nearly impossible.

"This place is impressive," Lu Yi said with genuine appreciation. "Though, if I wanted to destroy it, I'd probably only need… half a second."

Nick's mood shifted sharply. He had been pleased at first—until Lu Yi finished speaking.

He knew more than Lu Yi did about the materials used here. And if Lu Yi was telling the truth—that he could tear it down so easily—then the situation was far more terrifying.

"You don't believe me?" Lu Yi asked.

"Believe it or not," Fury muttered unwillingly.

"But I know—you don't believe."

Without waiting for Nick to respond, Lu Yi stepped up to the wall. With no buildup, no stance, no visible preparation—he simply extended one finger and tapped.

Screech!

A piercing metallic shriek sliced through the room. The special alloy wall—one Fury took great pride in—buckled inward under a casual flick of Lu Yi's finger.

Nick Fury's face drained of color.

How do you even negotiate with this?

Any remaining strategy or calculation vanished from his mind—replaced entirely by raw, primal fear.

Lu Yi nodded, satisfied.

He did it not just to prove he could destroy the wall—but to crush the last flicker of manipulation in Nick Fury's mind.

And clearly, it worked.

"Let's talk business," Lu Yi said calmly, returning to his seat.

"Alright, Mr. Lu Yi," Fury replied, swallowing hard. "Tell me—what do you want?"

"There are many things I want," Lu Yi said leisurely. "So, be prepared."

"I've prepared myself mentally."

Nick Fury had been deeply analyzing recent events—everything that led to this moment. Now it was all clear.

Everything Lu Yi had done was calculated.

And his goal was simple.

He wanted to name a price.

Fury hadn't understood it before—but now? It was painfully obvious.

If he hadn't realized it by now, he'd probably be dead.

As the Director of the world's greatest intelligence agency, he had survived countless near-death situations. Only those with unwavering clarity could live long in his line of work.

"I want one ton of pure Adamantium—no impurities."

"That's impossible. Adamantium is extremely rare. One ton is absolutely impossible. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s entire reserves don't come close."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. may not have enough—but you could get it elsewhere. The military dumped this mess in your lap, so you can pass the cost back to them. If I'm not mistaken, Colonel William Stryker has quite a stock."

Nick Fury's eyes widened. That might actually be viable. The military should pay the price for this mess.

But one question burned in his mind—

How does Lu Yi know about Stryker's Adamantium stash?

That was classified beyond classified.

Fury had no idea that there existed a special kind of person in this world—called a transmigrant—who already knew so many "top-secret" things.

"Well then," Lu Yi continued calmly, "that takes care of the Adamantium. Next—"

"You want more?" Nick Fury winced.

He knew Lu Yi would have demands—but this many?

What game was this man playing?

"Why not?" Lu Yi smiled. "I've heard there's a Sentinel Program in progress somewhere. I want a copy of everything you've developed so far."

Fury's expression darkened immediately, just as Lu Yi continued—

"And don't rush to refuse—I'm not finished. I also want access to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s technology vault. Open it for me."

"Just these three things."

Just. These. Three.

Nick Fury's face went stiff.

Just these three?

Why don't you just ask me to go to hell while you're at it?

Did he even understand what he was asking for?

If Fury agreed to those demands…

He wouldn't just be fired.

He'd be tried for treason.
