"Where the heck am I?" he said, his voice shaky and echoing faintly through the trees as he pushed himself off the ground. His tone was confused, and his expression tightened with a mix of panic and disbelief.

He stood slowly, brushing dirt from his uniform with quick, irritated motions. His purple hair shifted slightly as a breeze passed by, and his mismatched eyes — blue on the left, red on the right — darted around the area with sharp caution.

The forest around him felt wrong.

He turned in a slow circle. Massive trees soared above, their trunks wide enough that five people holding hands wouldn't reach around one. The canopy was thick, letting only streaks of sunlight fall in scattered beams. Dust and pollen floated lazily in the faint light, shimmering slightly.

No birds.

No insects.

No footsteps.

Just wind.

He swallowed.

"How the hell did I randomly appear in this forest? Wait a second," he muttered, lowering his voice as his brows furrowed. His tone was suspicious, and he stopped abruptly as a realization struck him. His eyes widened just a bit.

He inhaled sharply.

"Did I get summoned to another world..." he whispered, the words leaving his mouth in pure disbelief as he scanned the quiet forest again. His expression shifted between surprise and fear.

His right hand rose automatically to his chin.

"So, where is my system or my special ability, huh?" he said, sounding half-serious, half-joking, as he squinted into the empty air like he expected something to appear instantly.

Something did.

[System Creation successful]

A translucent blue window blinked into existence. He jerked back slightly, then leaned forward with narrowed eyes.

He stared for a few seconds, then exhaled and scratched the back of his neck.

"Good thing I have a system. Bad thing? I don't know what to do," he said in a bored tone, his shoulders relaxing slightly as the shock faded.

Another window appeared.

Tutorial Quest 0: Explore the forest

Rewards: ???

Penalty: None

He clicked his tongue, letting out a short breath through his nose.

"The generic exploration quest, huh? Not a problem for someone of my caliber. And I'm not even joking," he said confidently, smirking slightly as he stepped forward.

He began walking deeper into the forest.

For a few minutes, he didn't speak. His footsteps were soft on the mossy ground, but every now and then a dry leaf crunched under his shoe. He looked around slowly, carefully, eyes taking in everything — from the twisted tree roots to the strange-colored flowers sprouting near the trunks.

After a few dozen steps, he stopped and crouched near a strange-looking plant.

It looked like a normal blue flower, but when he leaned closer, the petals released faint specks of glowing dust. The dust drifted upward, glowing softly like tiny floating candles.

"Huh… weirdly pretty," he muttered to himself in a quiet tone, his expression curious as he gently poked the stem with a finger.

The flower immediately closed itself, swallowing the glow.

He blinked.

He stepped back.

Nope.

He resumed walking.

A few minutes later, he heard a soft fluttering sound. Something glowing flew past his face — a tiny insect, shaped like a dragonfly but with a bright green glow trailing behind it.

The creature circled around him once, as if observing him.

He frowned.

"Don't even try biting me," he whispered, his tone both warning and nervous as he raised an eyebrow.

The insect zipped away.

"Good," he muttered, crossing his arms briefly before letting them fall again.

As he walked, he noticed markings on some tree trunks — random symbols carved into the bark, spirals, triangles, lines. They didn't look like writing from his world.

He touched one lightly.

The bark vibrated faintly.

He jerked his hand away instantly.

"Okay… staying away from weird tree symbols," he said with a cautious tone, his expression stiffening as he took a step back.

The forest grew deeper and darker. Sunlight barely reached the ground in some areas. Roots tangled like veins across the soil. The smell of damp leaves and earth thickened around him.

Finally, he saw something ahead.

A massive tree, far larger than all the others. Its trunk was so thick that it looked like a natural tower. A wooden door was carved perfectly into the center, smooth and polished unlike the rough bark around it. The door looked old and untouched.

Small flowers circled the base, glowing faintly in soft purple shades. Two enormous red poppies stood on each side of the door, towering even taller than his waist.

He stared for a long moment.

"That feels like a fairy's house," he said, his tone suspicious as he crouched slightly. His expression hardened into caution. "I should check the ground for any sticks. If I step on one, I already know wolves will appear behind me."

He kneeled down and scanned carefully.

Grass.

Rocks.

Tiny flowers.

No stick.

He let out a slow, relieved breath.

He reached toward the door—

Crack.

His body froze instantly.

His heart skipped.

He slowly looked down.

A stick — long, dry, and definitely not there before — was snapped clean under his shoe. His eyes widened, and he felt a cold drop slide down his spine.

"Wolves…" he whispered, dread filling his voice as his expression grew tense.

Low growls rumbled behind him.

He inhaled sharply, whipped his head around, and felt his breath hitch.

Four wolf-like creatures stood there.

They resembled wolves in shape — but everything else was wrong. Their fur was deep blood-red. Their eyes were pure white, showing no emotion, no pupils. Their jaws hung open unnaturally wide, revealing razor-like teeth sharper than any normal beast.

Their growls grew louder, vibrating through the silent forest.

His face paled slightly.
