Volume 0 — "Promise in the Flames"

BOOOOMMM…

The laboratory exploded and burst into flames.

When the weak boy came to his senses, Eldos and Yerzhan had already died long before.

A huge slab of concrete had crushed Ayazhan's legs.

The weak boy tried with all his strength to free her, but he was too weak — his power was not enough.

He became furious with himself for failing to save her, overwhelmed with guilt and anger.

Ayazhan didn't want to see the weak boy cry.

She never wanted him to cry in his life — not once.

Because Ayazhan was in love with him.

With her last breaths she spoke softly:

"This is not your fault… Promise me…"

"Promise me that you will never cry again — not for us, not for your late mother…

Promise me… if you truly respected us."

"We all loved you… I'm sure your mother wouldn't have wanted you to cry either."

"Let me tell you one thing… I've been watching you for a long time.

I love you."

"Now… go…"

With those final words, Ayazhan closed her eyes forever.

The weak boy barely held himself together.

Fighting back tears with everything he had, he forced himself not to cry and stumbled out of the burning ruins.

Outside, Kaisar had just arrived.

He saw the burning laboratory, the flames, the destruction — and he immediately understood everything.

He stood there in complete shock for a moment.

Then rage and grief overwhelmed him.

He screamed at the weak boy:

"You… this is all because of you!"

"If you had never met us…

I will hate you for the rest of my life!"

With those words, Kaisar ran straight toward the burning building — not to destroy himself in despair, but desperately trying to save whoever might still be alive inside, especially Ayazhan.

He jumped into the flames in a frantic attempt to reach her.

The weak boy tried to stop him — reached out, shouted — but it was too late.

Kaisar disappeared into the fire.

At that moment a man appeared — the weak boy's personal servant and caretaker.

He had quit his job the day Rasul drove the boy out of the house.

Out of pity and loyalty, he left everything behind and searched for the boy until he finally found him… only to witness this horrifying scene.

The weak boy stood there — cold and emotionless on the surface, but broken inside.

In a quiet, hollow voice he asked:

"Master… tell me…

Is it possible to protect the people who are precious to you?"

"I don't want to lose anyone ever again."

His master looked at the burning ruins, then at the boy, and answered seriously:

"Yes… it is possible.

But for that… you need strength."

The weak boy whispered:

"Strength…

Fine.

I'm ready to do whatever it takes to gain it…"

And so the story shifts to the present time —

where it all truly begins…
