The Night Apocalypse

When the night comes, those beings would emerge! A beings that lived in the darkness of the night, feeding upon the spirits of those who walk across the land. Some say, they were the nature's cleansing way of killing the world's parasite that only dared to harm it. While others say's they were the creatures from hell, set on loose by the god to punish us mortals. But, one thing is for sure. Their existence every night caused the world in the a constant night apocalypse where people would fend themselves with their bare mortal body, armed with earthly equipments that doesn't cause much damage for such beings. Just as the humanity were about to be extinct from the face of the earth, someone 'found' a way to fight these nightmares! It's the awakening serum, that have the possibility of awakening the innate ability hidden inside the mortal body. With this, the humanity saw a glimmer of hope of surviving this new world, overrun by darkness beings every night. Still, they gained an extreme fear against the night and would do anything in order to expel darkness in every corners, a tradition created from fear. Over many years later, and countless sacrifices made along the way. The humans manage to build their havens in this post apocalypse world, scattered across the world are final bastions of humanity that stand to represent their determination to survive and thrive against all odds. Because of tight resources, as well as to make the awakening orderly, the final cities of humanity decided to conduct an awakening ceremony to allow those unfortunate few to have the chance to become something. As well as, to replenish the lost blood of the city. A cruel cycle that has no hope of changing anytime soon. At one fortunate event in the awakening ceremony, many years later after the apocalypse. A lucky boy awakened something unique from everyone. An ability that never existed before, an ability that resulted from humanity's greatest fear.
