Chapter 11 - CHAPTER_10 (WHO?)

The bar was clearing out rapidly. Chairs rubbed on the floor. The mens laughter was fading as it descended the stairs yet the atmosphere remained still as though the injury was fresh.

I was immobilized.

She pressed her neck against mine, her lips inches, from mine. Every part of me shouted that this was a snare.

"Who might you be?" I croaked, my tone harsh despite the mask.

She slowly placed a hand over her chest across the silk until her fingertips rested directly on the heartbeat pounding in my throat.

"Your tasks remain unfinished Akira " she remarked, her breath scenting the air like rosewater and danger. "Stay focused now."

I felt my stomach churn.

I yanked her arms off with strength than planned and strode back, to the computer. Her warmth lingered on the chair. I settled down pushed the pen drive into the slot and hammered the keys.

Aged equipment. Inexpensive fans produced high-frequency noises resembling the sound of dying insects.

A directory was uncovered.

The password was revealed

A collection of files showed up on the screen.

Names.

Thousands of them.

Red text. Black text. Dates of death. Ways. Money.

I was scrolling quickly and my eyes began to ache.

There was.

KINARD KUROGANE ; STATUS:DECEASED ; KILLED BY AKIRA KUROGANE

My personal handwriting was staring back at me. My forged autograph. My seal.

"What the hell…" The words groaned out of me, unrefined and wrecked.

From, behind reassuring arms were wrapped around my shoulders.

Yuras tone, yet poisonous whispered into my ear.

"Yes, honey. Mr. Kinard. Your father. Sadly."

I spun around seized her neck before I comprehended my actions and thrust her hard against the pillar. The coins, on her belt clinked like death knells.

"Who, on earth are you?" I shouted, my fingers clenching tighter. "How do you know my name? How do you know about him?"

She showed no opposition. Not a single twitch.

Only smiled, slowly and dangerously.

"Alright… alright…" she murmured, despite her heart pounding beneath my touch. "Yuna! You need to come out "

The lights blinked once.

Following that the rooms temperature dropped by ten degrees.

Emerging from the darkness a woman manifested, as if the night had breathed life into her.

She donned silk garments with wings crafted from genuine golden fire folded behind her. Her hair resembled moonlight reflecting on metal. Her eyes appeared ancient, than sin.

An angel.

The real one.

She moved faster than the eye could catch—her hand clenched my throat hoisting me off the chair so that my feet dangled in the air.

Her grip was soft, and that was the worst part.

"L.I.M.I.T. Y.O.U.R. V.O.I.C.E " she whispered, quiet as the grave, at 3 a.m.

Each word smoldered behind my eyes like sacred fire trying to get inside of my head.

Yura quietly laughed, as though brushing dust from her dress with a hand she didn't possess.

This is Yuna. She is not my closest friend but also, like my older sister I believe. She dislikes it when boys yell at me.

The angel gazed through me with her eyes. I sensed her delving into every murder, every deceit every occasion I wept myself to sleep at twelve years old with blood, beneath my nails.

"You did end your fathers life " Yuna remarked, as if she was somewhat intrigued. "Who issued you the commands?"

I attempted to speak. I could not. It seemed like my throat was a tube.

I felt that her behavior was extremely rude which caused me to become quite upset.

She truly upset me.

[YUNA-POV]

His grip, on my wrist was so strong that I feared it might dissolve within his grasp.

Someone, like him possessing power truly amazed me. His eyes shone like neon lights. Were stained with blood. He gazed intently into my eyes. Grinned.

I removed my hands from him. He was, unlike anything a force I recognized.

Lucifer approached me and with his blessed yet wicked tone he. Said, "Oh, a fallen angel Yuna... Its been a while. Could you kindly keep your hands off my master?"

"Akira is Lucifer's master?" I murmured to myself filled with astonishment. I was eager to understand why Lucifer served a human. The angel, aware that he was supposed to detest humans even defied God by refusing to kneel before them.

"Why do you serve a human?" I inquired. "The combination of Lucifer and a human is a troubling scenario."

Lucifer smiled and answered," I see what you ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌don't."
