Damian Sinclair grabbed her wrist and turned her to face him. "All of that is already in the past. I chose to tell you this not to make you blame yourself or feel guilty, I just wanted you to know—I never once thought about giving up on you."
He had never thought about giving up on her. After she returned to the country, for fear of giving her a psychological burden, he hadn't mentioned the car accident even once.
Watching her resist and avoid him, he had started pursuing her again, inch by inch.
Bella Acker had never known any of this had happened in between; her mind was completely blank now, and for a moment she didn't even know what to think, what to say.
If… if back then Damian hadn't been resuscitated, if he hadn't woken up three years later…
She and he might really never have had any intersection in their lives again.
