Bella Acker bit her lip and looked up at him, waiting for him to wipe away her tears before asking, "Did you learn that line from a book too?"
"Which line?" Damian Sinclair looked at her tear-streaked face, feeling heartache, and didn't react immediately to what she asked.
"The line 'making you sad is my fault,' did you learn it from a book?"
"Yes." Damian understood, a hint of a smile in his eyes. "I thought that line made a lot of sense, and I noticed you seemed quite happy when you heard it."
Hearing him say this, Bella Acker couldn't help herself and finally burst into laughter, "President Sinclair, you really have a talent for putting what you learn into practice. You must have been a straight-A student who excelled at applying knowledge flexibly, right?"
"No." Damian replied, "When it comes to studying, I think you would do much better than me."
"That's natural, because I'm both smart and diligent." Bella Acker praised herself and then laughed first.
