With this new place, the two spent the next few days living like a young couple, almost as if they were newlyweds. Milo Sinclair left for work every morning and returned at night, while Shea Thorne occasionally cooked and waited for him. After dinner, they would go out for a stroll together.
A week later, Mr Thorne arrived safely.
Shea and Milo went to the airport together to pick him up. Holding a large bouquet, Shea immediately waved and ran over the moment she saw Mr Thorne walk out.
"Dad! Welcome back!"
Mr Thorne took the flowers with a smile. "Silly girl. At my age, why would you buy me something so impractical?" Sending flowers was just too flashy.
"I couldn't help it, I missed you!" Shea stuck out her tongue playfully, hugging her father's arm as they walked back.
"Welcome back, Mr Thorne," Milo said. Pushing the luggage cart, he took the lead. He was the designated driver, tasked with bringing the father and daughter home.
