Jenifer's POV
"Sweet child, would you mind helping me get these boxes into my vehicle? I'll unload them later," the elderly woman requested with a warm expression directed at Serena.
She mumbled under her breath, "Such a shame to simply discard all this cardboard. Better to collect it and earn a few dollars from selling it."
"Serena, where are you?" I shouted, maneuvering my wheelchair forward.
Serena swiftly placed the cardboard into the woman's vehicle and responded, "Aunt, I'm right here."
She then addressed the elderly woman, "Ma'am, I need to leave now. My aunt needs me."
"Of course," the woman acknowledged.
Serena spun around and hurried toward me.
"Where did you vanish to? You're completely drenched in sweat," I questioned, worry evident in my tone as I observed Serena, who appeared disheveled with grime streaked across her arms.
