Chapter 8 - The Wind, The Mischief, and the Shadow

After several days have gone by, more and more interactions with Samuel and Lilith in the ever gentle Gardens of Eden, I was once more meditating.

Every morning, my body rises with the morning dawn as I go over to the flowery fields, and practice my Airbending, with Hanma trait, all I ever did was improve as I practiced the martial arts and bent the air around me.

All aided by Intermediate Savoir Faire for the movement, Intermediate Discipline for the mind, Efficient Cells for the stamina, and Swiftness for the speed.

Little by little…I felt how much I was improving…ironically being naked very much helped as I felt every current being picked up, at this point, if I truly focus, I could even feel how a bee buzzes through the flowers with ease several dozens of yards away.

During my daily meditation, I tried to find what many cultures called chi, one would think it would be easier when Airbending uses it…but I am having a hard time trying to connect to it.

…I wonder if I actually become enlightened if I would be able to fly like Zaheer…not sure if I actually, legitimately need to basically just be empty inside that the technique requires, or if there is an alternative enlightenment that would do.

Though this was probably decades off, for now I am satisfied with purely the fact I can do fudging Airbending.

I also had Hideout Realtor ready to be deployed…though I didn't really have a use for it at the moment…so it's kinda sitting in the back burner of my mind.

So I simply sat there, hearing the chirping of morning birds and rushing rivers, simply focusing in on my breathing.

I had no real reason to work out…my body was already created at its peak muscular-wise, a freakish pile of muscles that would intimidate any bodybuilder of my time.

After actually getting a good handle of my bending, and the natural martial arts it was based on…It became painfully obvious just how…basic Krav Maga was, it was a good combination of a few other martial, but ultimately it didn't have a lot of potential for growth.

Oddly enough, Airbending was considered a skill, speaking of how to use your internal energy to bend the air around me…with enough effort is this…something teachable?

Avatar the Last Airbender would suggest otherwise, requiring something like Energybending on someone to make it so.

Hell, apparently you can only use one style out of the basic four else the spirit collapse onto itself, but then again that's korra…which is cannon.

But it IS a skill…and Aang was taught energybending…so logic dictates…that it should be learnable by me.

Then again I kinda don't want to experiment with something the lion turtle said could potentially "corrupt and destroy your spirit" if my own spirit was bendable…so that also is going at the back burner.

At least until I get something out of the gacha that will actually be useful in these cases.

Having enough sitting around for the morning, he stood up, waking up the few birds and critters on or sitting near him as they ran off.

In our general stumping ground, a nice patch of grass field that we typically roamed around to sleep due to it being the softest patch of ground u have felt in either lives.

Lilith was there, with a small smile playing with a ringed-tail Lemur, who bounced around on her lap.

I considered letting her know that I was nearby to be cordial…before I threw that thought away as a better idea formed in my mind.

Deciding to play a small prank on Lilith…I utilized Novice Stealth and Intermediate Savoir Faire to silence the sound of my footsteps.

Before I slowly and completely silently approached my companion's back.

Before I got just behind her and kneeled…and I quickly moved my hands over to her sides and dug into them.

Instantly she tensed up and—quite adorably—squeaked, her hands flying, her elbows trying to push my own unmoving hands away from her side before I released her.

Instantly she turned around with a angry flushed expression, "ADAM!!" Irritated as she pounded her fists to my chest as she stood up as I burst out laughing, a loud belly laughter, as she only hit me harder.

Ding! Be the first person in history to commit mischief! (Mostly becuase that was funny)

After a minute, after Lilith has calmed down, she currently had her hands crossed, and looking quite grumpy.

I looked over to her as I grabbed a few fruits from yesterday's gathering, "Hungry?" I extended a orange to her.

She made an effort to turn away, and said with what was close to a peeved tone, "I'm not talking to you," which only made it more amusing to me, my currently golden locks may honestly start glowing.

Now knowing she could read my emotions with my hair and eye color, she knew what yellow meant, and that only further annoyed me as she was probably aiming to make me feel back about doing that to her.

To bad for her all that did was amuse me! She quickly picked up a acorn from the ground and threw that at me.

I let the little seed bounce harmlessly off of me as I tsked at her, "Come now, no need to throw things~" my hair turning yellowish-greenish out of mischievousness.

Eating a few fruits, Lilith reluctantly grabbing an apple, before we had a fill.

There wasn't any hunger…but there was almost a…instinct, a call to do so, that we needed to consistently eat.

"Are you ready to do our chores for the day?" Lilith immediately went from slightly miffed to downright irritation at the mention of our daily tasks.

A few days ago, we have been given small tasks typically ranging from gathering fruits, routinely walking around the Garden, to trying to bond with a animal.

"Why you insist on following the angels' orders mindlessly is beyond me…" she grumbled out as she narrowed her eyes to the sky.

"It gives us something to do…it's not as if these tasks are hard or boring, you were even playing with the lemur earlier that ran off," that alone tells me that she didn't particularly hate or dislike the tasks, she purely didn't like them becuase our heavenly benefactors said so.

"Must you always take their side? You are supposed to be my husband and yet you always side with them," she lightly glared at me while I raised an eyebrow at her, to which she took her gaze away.

We both knew that the labels of husband and wife on us…didn't really go anywhere, for one thing we were both major tops…not that it led to an argument or anything.

Literally at any few number of instances that could be counted on with a hand occurring, if we found a contradiction in our desires we would just immediately drop it out of awkwardness and move on.

With Lust being such a…well deluded and surpressed thing, there was no real desire, no real motive to do it besides the promised pleasure.

"Must there always be sides to you? To be honest, I do believe only you seem to be seeing "sides" to anything, they simply want to give us at least an appearance that we have something to do," she let out a "humph" in acknowledgment to a statement I just gave her.

And to be perfectly honest…it became steadily more and more clear that the way we were bonding…it wasn't that of a married couple, not that Lilith noticed…to her, when she is still—and so was creation—very new.

Seeing her trying to act coldly, I had a monotone smirk grow slowly on my lips, "If you help me do all of the tasks, I will make some more sushi tonight~"

She sat there unmoving, arms still crossed, her expression didn't seem to change…before after a few seconds she sighed and pouted, "I hate you,"

My smirk sharpened, "No you don't,"

Lilith rolled her eyes as she stood up in preparation for the said tasks at hand to finish up, sadly it will just be the two of us as Samuel said he would be unnaturally busy the day before.

Collecting a good amount of fruits that ranged from apples to bananas to coconuts, that never spoil by the way, we sorted them over to the small cave we used as storage.

We went our seperate ways to walk around the Garden, trying to find anything that they may have missed, anything that may have been new.

It was always fun when I spotted something that DID NOT exist in the modern day…or at least I didn't think it did.

Who the fuck knows about a plant that had blue leaves and stems? I sure as hell didn't.

Walking over small hills, moving branches of pine trees and walking under palm trees, I didn't notice until I walked up into the open field, that I accidently stumbled my way back to the Tree of Knowledge.

Shrugging, I continued on my path towards it, it's not like the tree itself was dangerous and "deadly" apparently, it was the apples itself, I wasn't planning on even touching them anyway.

…But as I walked by…I could have sworn,…I felt something stare at me from the side, where something darker than a shadow loomed under the tree.

But when I turned to look…all I spotted was the same ole tree with big, red apples…with lingering sense of being watched over me.

…Maybe an angel was on duty looking over me, probably makes sense for them to have some sort of parameter set up in case either me or Lilith came close.

Unknowingly…as I walked away from the tree to further explore Eden…a pair of curious red, slitted eyes formed from the shadows of the tree, formless shapeless otherwise, more than a concept and a thought than a real thing…but real nonetheless watching me leave for the trees beyond.

Later, after I and Lilith were all done with our chores, I was meditating on the fishing rock that was near the river.

Relaxing and once more trying to connect with myself and nature, crossed legged, breathing calmly as I genuinely enjoyed the peaceful nature of my relatively new life.

A flutter in the wind…I could feel two vaguely humanoid figures slowly approach me, but stop a 100 feet away.

…I was fairly sure that was Samuel and Lilith, as they whispered…something that I could not make out but knew the winds mention a whisper,…mostly coming from a more soft and feminine voice, so Lilith, as they seemingly spied at my closed eyed, relaxing form.

…After this morning I can kinda assume what this is about, and decided…to just let it happen, I was the bigger man here—heh—I could let her get one back at me.

…What I didn't expect was after a minute or two, with Samuel clearly trying to be stealthy flying over me, suddenly created several gallons of ice cold water that completely covered my form.

I sputtered and coughed, as the long downpour of water covered my body, cutting off the sound before I came on out.

The sound of a cackling Lilith was the first thing I heard, who was clutching her stomach and laughing in petty revenge.

And a sheepish looking Samuel now on the floor, not looking at me in embarrassment, "Sorry Adam…she asked me to get one over you from the morning,…I figured you wouldn't have…minded…much," Samuel started before he steadily looked up and locked eyes at me.

Followed by Lilith who had calmed down slightly to smugly look at me, before she too froze at the sight of me.

I wasn't…initially sure what caused them to slowly pause, widened their eyes, and legitimately drop their jaws at the sight of me as I blinked at them.

…To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really all that angry at being splashed with water, with no clothes the most irritating part of being splashed by a liquid was gone, so honestly it was kinda refreshing-

…I then realized what was the reason when I felt certain parts of me…happen, firstly my little brother was gone, I felt a little smaller…and something on my chest jiggled when I moved slightly.

I looked down to see a pair of breasts, I could feel how my, now apparently long, hair moved on my back, shapely legs and thighs, with a…frankly Amazonian girl body.

We all just stood there, for me seated, as we were processing over my swift gender transition.

…I kinda forgot I had this curse to begin with.

I rolled with it, I gave a big smirk, a mischievous one that reached the eyes, "See something you like?~" somehow despite what I believed otherwise, their jaws dropped even lower.
