"I just don't see what is the problem," Samuel said, though he was currently playing with Alcremie—who was now named Julie—with starry eyes, enraptured by the strange creature before him who giggled at his ticklish touch.
"You are getting a companion today, and based on your looks, she is bound to be just as pretty as you are, aren't you feeling lonely at being the only human in the Garden or whatever?" Samuel reasoned as held the hands of the pokemon and gently swung her around.
Meanwhile I sat across from him, my legs crossed, with a deadpanned expression, "You telling me you see nothing iffy about your brothers and sisters making me a wife that is meant to give me children?" Certainly makes me anxious.
Sam looked back at me and tilted his head, "Um, could you elaborate?…" and he was indeed struggling…curse my knowledge of modern context.
I pinched my nose, "Well think of it like this…She could either be subservient…meaning I have a overglorified pet that lives to obey me potentially…or it's just the two of us in the field looking awkwardly at the other as the angels tell us to go at it while we know nothing of the other," it was seriously driving me a little crazy here.
Samuel blinked, putting down Julie, before he lifted his fingers one by one, "Well first off, just as much as you are the First Man, she would be the First Woman…so she is just as entitled to be as equal to you as you are to her…so the former you don't have much to worry about…as far as I am aware anyway, who knows, maybe she will just develop like that," he shrugged, still not too worried about the implications, but actually trying to be supportive.
"Second…from what Jophiel has been gushing over at every meeting I managed to catch an ear of about your future love life," he rolled his eyes at that bit, "At first sight, the two of you will be at the very least find the other physically attractive, want to spend some time together, and kinda should just click,".
…Are you fucking kidding me?…are they legit basing this off based on what I am hearing is basically grade school crushes and expect that to last?!
He lifted a third finger, "third…what's the rush?" He shrugged with a carefree smile, "You have the rest of eternity in the Garden to get to know the other, and while Sera did indeed say "be fruitful and multiply" I don't believe she meant for the two of you to just start spawning babies one after another,".
I opened my mouth, before I legitimately paused in thought, closing it as I actually pondered it.
I was working with a mind—regressed into a innocent state or not—where a human has gone through a bloody and cruel history with barely any good breaks, where a man is expected to live at most 30 most of the time, at most a 100 in the modern era…
Based on Michael's and Sera's words yesterday, and now Samuel's…getting old may not be an actual factor into this…
Then…what's the point in life?…if there is legitimately no real need to rush, where I have all the time in the world? When is a good point to get into a Mid-Life crisis and/or Existential Dread?
And now suddenly, the entire thing I was now looking at through different lenses.
They aren't in a hurry, they aren't rushing…they legit more than likely wanted to give me a companion that was intended to one day become my wife, but would start a little more than a companion.
…That honestly made me feel…not completely ok, but definitely soothed me to a extent.
"…Thanks Samuel, I think I needed that," to which he gave me a wide smile and a thumbs up.
————————————————————
Me and Sam stood there in the fields when it was time, the same five angels, including the one beside me who joined the others, a beacon of light came down from the heavens.
A…I was not sure how to describe it, I wasn't anywhere near good enough to identify and compare mystical knowledge, the closest thing I had was the Eldritch runes stuff from Bloodborne that I was barely scraping by learning.
I saw that Michael and Sera grabbed a pile of dust and shoved it into the…what I can only describe is a orb of light, that seemingly radiated light, emotions,…concepts?!
The last one was a shot in the dark, but if I had to guess…the orb was everything the first woman was, and the dust…I don't know was supposed to be her physical form?
Was this how I was made?

First of all, fuck you Gacha, second of all, THAT IS LITERALLY USLESS!!!I AM SURROUNDED BY TREES THAT ALREADY DO THAT!!
What the fudge am I supposed to do with this?! Is this my equivalent of "too lazy to go grab the remote"?! Just pop up any fruit I want-
Wait.
I searched through my instinctual knowledge of how the power works…
…Oh my God, I had wheat!, and bananas, strawberries, pineapples, rice, literally anything that was a botanic delicacy.
I take it back, Gacha, I have sinned and have seen the errors of my ways, this alone expands my capabilities as a chef.
If I didn't have Intermediate Discipline, Stone Face, or the fact I am surrounded by people, I may have legitimately dropped to my knees and started crying, like I was a Buddhist that has at last discovered Nirvana.
The light died out, into a familiar orm of a woman. A very…voluptuous woman, like…holy shit was she hot kind of way, be it her long— almost to the ground— long, blonde hair.
An hourglass body, with wide hips, bountiful bust, and a thin waist, her flawless, pale-pink skin without a single blemish in her nude form.
And yet…oddly…there was no overwhelming sense of Lust…there was something there, but it was a lot more subdued, my body far more in my control as I didn't immediately grow a errection.
It was like…staring into a beautiful sunrise for the first time.
…Really if they were going for the crush thing I suspected, they sure as hell would have nailed it I was literally a guy with no memories of the past life.
The girl- no, the woman before me, her shut eyes fluttered before they opened, revealing pinkish eyes, confusion, bewilderment, and startling innocence filled them so utterly and completely.
It was the same spot where I started out, the angels all stood around in a semi-circle, in fact I recognized the look in her eyes, the fascination and wonder as she observed everything that was before her in the same manner I imagine myself I did.
And credit where credit was due, she stumbled back a couple of steps when she noticed there was somebody beside her, unlike my ass that took someone speaking to get my attention to this particular fact.
"W-who…-," her voice, was both soft and yet piercing, her eyes scanned over Sera's towering height, "-are you?"
Sera had her constant smile, one that spoke of how collected and pleased she seemingly was, "My name is Sera, the High Seraphim of Heaven…and you are the First Woman, I welcome you to your new home," she politely greeted the woman, with a polite bow much like they had done so with me.
"Home?" The woman paused, blinked, as if getting used to the word, the fact she had to sort through the knowledge in her head, he had to literally sort out the fact that she was alive-
"Why is her hair flowing?" Jophiel suddenly interrupted, cutting through the atmosphere and my inner thoughts as the angel looked in confusion over the First Woman's hair.
And…indeed, the nameless woman's hair was gently, and constantly, flowing, as if there was a gentle breeze or she was underwater.
Jophiel waved her hands over to all over the woman, puzzlement and confusion, exasperated even, "This is like Adam all over again, except her's stays the same color but apparently can't stay still,"
Gabriel sighed softly near me, quietly that I barely heard her, "And all that work and check overs to make sure hers came out more naturally…," ah so they considered my hair and eye color thing as a "defect" or something close to that.
Sera gave Jophile a stern look as she frowned at her smaller sister for interrupting them, "Sister Jophiel! Control yourself! We can speak more of this later," said Angel pouted at the designated leader…or I assume is the leader…
She seemed like the most likely one in charge,…it may be the size thing.
Sera turned back to face the woman, her smile coming back, "As we were saying,…your new home, you shall be named Lilith, and your duty as the first Woman is to be the Mother of Humanity, to rule over the Garden of Eden alongside your husband, Adam,"
Aaaand the anxiety is back, I can feel how in the inside I cringed so damn (what's that again?) hard, and died a little bit in the inside just how it was worded.
The feelings were apparently shared by my fellow human as she took a step back, put off with what was just said, looking over to me as Sera motioned over to me when she called my name.
When she looked and finally locked eyes with me, Lilith's, gaze, body language, and expression told me much of the many, many things about her through the window of her soul.
Intelligence.
Strong-Willed.
Independent.
And Anti-Authoritarian.
Before she paused and legitimately took a closer look at me, blinking as she was caught off guard by my appearance, from my face, to my muscle, my form, and simply took me in.
Which…made sense, while I wasn't the foremost expert on what makes a guy attractive to a straight girl, It was…sorta given that if Lilith was made to be attractive to me, I was made to be at least somewhat, to at least to some degree, attractive to Lilith.
There was no disgust, she was certainly wary, especially since Stone Faced was likely making it very hard to get a read on me.
She did lock onto the torrent of colorful hair on my head, that was shifting between annoyance orange, anxiety bluish-green, whitish yellow awe, and the slightest amount of pinkish arousal that was being drowned out by the rest of my emotions.
I also…couldn't help but feel bad, literally being born, and suddenly getting what was basically arranged married to a guy you can't get a emotion out of them…I would be scared too.
Or at least I would be scared…she didn't seem to be,…I am honestly impressed by someone that was made a few minutes ago able to hold everything together, to be so collected and calm.
It was…honestly impressive, a little inspiring too.
I looked over to Samuel considering he was very quiet in all of this, only to double take as I noticed just how frozen he looked, his face was gold, eyes wide, seemingly Samuel.exe has fully crashed.
I snorted in my mind in amusement, I was fairly sure that he was gay, with how he acted in my company at times, but it seemed he either batted for both teams or I seriously misread some of those interactions.
Maybe he had a thing for humans, Michael is also deadpanning at his brother, no doubt noticing what I did with his brother.
"Why?…" Lilith suddenly said as my eyes flickered back to the woman, the second human in all of existence, to Sera.
Who seemed to be a bit lost, "…Why…what exactly?"
"Why is he to be my husband? Why are we to be together?…why do you get to choose for me…" She immediately cut through the chase, a frown on her face as she turned to look at the seraphim angel.
Sera…didn't know what to say, opening and closing her mouth, as she legitimately, apparently, didn't actually have a answered prepared, as if she asked something along the lines of "do we really need to breath?".
The same expressions shared by the other angels, except Sam and Michael, the former still stun locked, the other bemused and confused by the question.
"…Becuase…you were made for each other?" That sounded more like a question Sera, I was suddenly once more plunged into the realization what it meant to be in a world, at the very beginning, where a lot of ideas were very much brand new.
I wonder if lying is a forbidden, unknowable art at the moment, it may actually be so with how innocent everyone seemed to be with how my world used to work, to my common sense that seemed to alien to them.
Lilith narrowed her eyes, "Why must I bear him children? When I know him not nor desire to,"
Michael shrugged, as he nonchalantly stated, "I don't mean to be necessarily rude…but you two dont exactly…have a lot of options, considering there is only one of him…and one of you," Michael I know you mean well, but please stop talking.
She didn't press, but it was clear she was deeply unhappy to find herself bound to someone immediately after creation.
Sera cleared her throat, trying to drive away the awkwardness that was created, "As I was saying…the Two of You, created to be Equals as you both arose from dust, shall preside over Eden, where there are only two rules to keep in mind…"
A finger was lifted, "You must never leave paradise, you are to remain here in the garden,"
Another finger went up- WAIT WE ONLY HAD THREE FINGERS AND A THUMB?!?, "And you must never consume the fruit of the tree that is at the other end of the garden, the one that stands alone in the field, with red apples, for if you do, you shall surely die,"
Though the rules sounded reasonable, Lilith who was already annoyed with the unsatisfactory answers given before, was further displeased at even more restrictions, but didn't say anything.
A pulse in the heavens appeared in the sky, every angel, including Sam who finally snapped out of it, looked up to the sky, as if drawn to it.
"…It seems we are being called by the Heavenly Father…Farewell Adam, Farewell Lilith, as said I am Sera, and I wish you a wonderous time in the garden,"
"My name is Jophiel, and I dearly wish that the two of you get along, don't rush though!"
"My name is Gabriel, and hopefully you like the garden and its animals, a lot of the angels worked hard on them you know!"
"My name is Michael, and hopefully you come to understand the role we must all play,"
"…Oh! A-and my name…is Samuel, and…I hope you have a lovely day," Michael's deadpan was now shared by the other angels, while Lilith blinked at him as opposed to simply staring at every other angel with new discernible emotion.
Before they left and there was just the two of us when all angels teleported out.
And oh boy did it turn awkward, standing in place, looking around, occasionally glancing back to the other, before quickly looking away.
…after a solid ten minutes I decided enough was enough, "Hey…," she immediately tensed up as she stared intensively at me in wariness, "want food?"
Before she was caught very much unguarded, as I could tell she didn't know what to expect except it wasn't my question.
"I was thinking…sushi?" I might as well actually make use of my fruit and vegetable summing powers.
"…I don't know what that is," she admitted as she relaxed little by little.
I have a small smirk, even if I could tell even if I couldn't see it just how monotone it was, though my eyes and hair turned gold in excitement, "You wouldn't, I just made it up, it's a food I invented made up fish, vegetables, and fruit,".
"…I don't see why not," goodie, we can banish the awkward and cringe tension in the air in exchange of food!
Later, I enjoyed the sight of a stunned and utterly shocked look at my female friend at the taste of my creation.
I do make a very mean Spicy Tuna Roll.
