When I finally woke up next, there was something soft under my hand. The texture grounded me before my thoughts did.
My mind felt blank for a moment as I tried to open my eyes before thoughts started to make their way into my head.Fragments of the hospital flashed and vanished just as quickly.
That woke me up instantly, and I jolted awake before looking at Damian's startled expression.
"Hey, are you alright? Did something happen?"
He asked, looking at me with a concerned expression on his face. He must have been watching me for a while.
I blinked at him as awareness slowly started to creep up in my mind, and I shook my head to get rid of the post-sleep dizziness.
"I am fine. Anyway, about Iris… do we have more news?"
I asked Damian as I pushed myself to sit up.My body still felt heavier than usual.
I also realized that Damian was in my room… no, he had placed me in his room after he got me out of the car. That felt a little intimate.
