"Medicine already? What time is it? Isn't this a little early?"
The doctor asked the elder nurse, but the nurse shrugged before pressing the syringe into Iris's veins and emptying the medicine out. Her movements were practiced and quick, almost too quick to question.
"I am going on a break in about 10 minutes. I figured that I might as well finish this before I needed to head home."
The female nurse told the doctor in a carefree voice before she left.
The doctor rubbed his forehead before he looked back at us.
"As you can see, we are taking good care of Miss Iris—"
He was not finished speaking when Iris started to shake and make weird noises on the bed. The change was sudden, violent.
Her face had gone red, and she was struggling to breathe.
Something had gone wrong somewhere, and the doctor panicked and snapped right into action.
"Shit—! This is bad! Excuse me, but would you mind leaving for some time? I need to act fast."
