Damian's POV
"Please follow after me. My boss said that he has a nice surprise for you that you won't be able to take your eyes off. You might even forget everything about your partner…"
His choice of words was deliberate, meant to provoke.
My glare caused the teenager to stop yapping and quickly shut his mouth. Fear flickered across his face before he looked away.
He was far too annoying, and the only reason I had not done something about him was because I still needed him.
I walked behind the teenager until he led me to the back room, where a man wearing a mask welcomed me.
"Ah, welcome to my humble establishment, Damian Black. I was surprised to see you here, and even more so to see you with a partner. I take it to mean that you are finally interested in our products?"
The man, who could only be the 'boss' the teenage boy kept mentioning, asked me.
I took the offered seat without being asked and crossed my legs before resting my folded hands on top.
