Once inside Carmlien first flipped the sign telling to closed before setting Max down on a couch with Rayn trying to comfort him. Carmlien walking towards the two while looking at Max's crystallized arm almost in awe by the sight but stayed focused.
"Okay Rayn, can you tell me what the hell was that" Rayn then explain what happened to Max during their trip to the Crystal Caverns, thanks to Carmlien giving access for the others to explore, but Max had strayed from the others and saw a crystal that fell, he picked it up at it started crystallizing his left arm.
"Really that actually happened"
"I don't know the full story, I was just projecting. Max experienced the whole thing" Carmlien face palms herself.
Suddenly Max wakes up from his pain, and the glow diminished from his body "Max are you alright" Rayn asked
"Yes bud I'm good now. Carmlien"
Max then looks around being confused at where they are "why are you here" "we're at my museum" "oh okay, you tidy the place up real nice" Max lays back on the couch as to conserve his strength.
"I'll help out a bit just let me rest for a bit". While waiting Rayn decides to take a look around Carmlien's family museum seeing many rare stone, fossils, and even crystals which give Rayn the shivers.
"You seem frightened" Carmlien notice Rayn sudden distressed, as he still looking at the crystal "I don't like the looks of these crystals, one of them hurt Max".
"These crystals were found in the crystal caverns. The one you guys went exploring"
"Well I say get rid of them"
"I can't Rayn, their the museum's property"
"Then fine I'll do it myself" Rayn tries to grab one of the crystals. But, Max comes into the gallery seeing Rayn trying to grab a crystal and Carmlien trying to stop him.
"Should I know what's happening?" With a confused look on his face
"No you don't" "yes he does" both said it simultaneously before looking at each other before Rayn quickly emitting defeat.
"Ugh, fine" their situation slowly come down fast as Rayn and Max were helping out Carmlien with her museum sweeping the floors checking if the items on the gallery are not damage and many more things they helped with Carmlien. As they were almost finish helping Carmlien, Max went to Carmlien's family office to drop off some documents that Carmlien missed placed and see all the photos on her fathers desk. Seeing all the happy moments they had it almost makes Max a little upset of himself for not being able to protect his loved one, slowly shedding a tear "Max are you okay" Carmlien seeing Max in her family office crying "what no, no it's just dust in my eyes" "Max you know lying isn't your strong suit" Max then wiped the tears off his face before talking to Carmlien "I know. It just, I miss them" then hugs Carmlien and she hugs him back comforting him and reliving his pain before they let go of each other "thank you Carmlien."
Then Carmlien starts to observe Max's arm "do you think I can touch it" "yeah you can if you want" Carmlien feeling the crystal arm it feels smooth yet rigid, ruff but soft.
"I can only imagine the pain you went through"
"Yeah that too" then Carmlien kisses Max on the cheek with gratitude, catching Max by surprise but takes it with many thanks, smiling at each other.
Meanwhile Rayn is carrying a box that holds items Carmlien had to put on showcase into the gallery first some firearms that were from the sixteen-sixties, a captain's pirate hat, a shield from the medieval era, more crystals that Rayn is being carefully not to touch them by using glove and tongs he safely put them onto the shelves near the rest of the crystals, once the box is empty he then went to the storage room to see what else Carmlien asked him to put on display. but Rayn then stumbles upon a bright black longsword with a purple crest in the middle of the handle, Rayn couldn't understand what it is but wanted to go for a swing with it. When Rayn pulls the sword off of its stand it immediately falls flat onto the ground "huh?" Rayn was confused at first but he tries to lift the sword but couldn't lift it off the ground despite using two hands and only a few minutes he gave up picking up the sword and leave the storage room to see where is Max and Carmlien, then as he pass the crystal gallery he hears something, looking towards all the crystals it started to move shaking profusely. Rayn was shocked to see but also notice the crystals were combining together forming their shapes into two different beings, without hesitation he quickly ran looking for Max, and Carmlien heading towards the office he sees them and rushes into the office.
"Rayn ever heard of knocking" Carmlien shouted at Rayn
"Sorry, but something is wrong with the crystal"
"What?" Carmlien and Max looked at each other in fear before investigating the situation heading towards the crystal gallery but they all see two crystal beings the first one is tall and slim, and the other one is stubby yet jacked "what are these things" Max then stand in front of Rayn and Carmlien. "Get behind me! I got this" "what do you mean, got this you don't even have a functioning arm bud!" Rayn shouting at Max for his misplaced in courage, then suddenly Max manages to curl his crystallized arm making a fist going into a fighting stance, ready to confront the two crystal beings. Surprising the two they also get into a fighting stance "I don't know why your here but it is closed for the day" Max the rushes towards the two trying to make a swing with, but they both dodge the attack, and the tall one kicks Max in the gut immediately launching him out of the museum and onto the road.
