Chapter 1 - chapter1

Ben Tennyson was no stranger to trouble—it was practically his middle name. At least, that's what Grandpa Max always said. But even he had to admit that this time, trouble had outdone itself. It all started with Vilgax. Because, of course, it did. The tentacled tyrant had a knack for turning peaceful days into catastrophic chaos.

The vast emptiness of space stretched endlessly before Ben and Gwen as they pursued Vilgax's ship through the cosmic void. Kevin's disappearance three days ago had sent them into a desperate search across the galaxy, but nobody had expected this—Vilgax, armed with the Map of Infinity, heading straight for the Forge of Creation. The swirling cosmic energies of the dimension where Celestialsapiens resided created an otherworldly light show around their ship.

"Can you sense him?" Ben asked, piloting the ship through another dimensional barrier. Beside him, Gwen's eyes glowed with mana as she tried to track Kevin's energy signature.

"Barely," she replied, her voice tight with worry. "Something's interfering with my powers, but he's definitely ahead of us. And he's alive."

The Forge of Creation loomed ahead, a realm that existed outside normal space-time. Here, baby Celestialsapiens floated in their cosmic cradles, waiting to develop their multiple personalities. The sight would have been awe-inspiring if they weren't racing against time. They found Vilgax floating among the cosmic nursery, Kevin unconscious beside him. The Osmosian's face was contorted in pain, his body crackling with residual energy. Whatever Vilgax had done to capture him had clearly not been gentle, but the tyrant's plan soon became horrifyingly clear.

"You're really milking this whole 'dominate the universe' shtick, huh, Vilgax? Ever thought about taking up knitting instead?" Ben quipped, but his heart wasn't in the banter. His eyes were fixed on Kevin's prone form.

Vilgax's glowing red eyes narrowed. "Your friend's Osmosian abilities proved quite useful, Tennyson. The power to absorb energy—even the energy of a baby Celestialsapien. Without the complications of multiple personalities, I might add."

Horror dawned on Ben and Gwen's faces as dark energy crackled around Vilgax, his armor pulsing with an otherworldly power. He had used Kevin's absorption abilities to take the power of a baby Celestialsapien—a being of unlimited power, but without the conflicting personalities that made Alien X so difficult to control.

"Insolent whelp! Your flippancy will be your undoing. This time, Tennyson, I hold the power of a Celestialsapien. You are nothing but an insect beneath me!"

"An insect that's about to stomp your tentacle-y butt back to wherever you crawled out from," Ben shot back. But inwardly, he wasn't so confident. Fighting Vilgax was one thing; fighting a Vilgax with Celestialsapien powers? That was a whole new level of bad.

"Gwen, get to Kevin!" Ben called out. His cousin was already moving, her mana platforms creating a path through space towards Kevin. Vilgax made no move to stop her—he was too drunk on his new power to care about mere "insects."

It didn't help that Ben's Omnitrix seemed to be having a midlife crisis. Half his transformations wouldn't just work, and Alien X—his trump card—came with its own set of problems. Bellicus and Serena, the bickering personalities inside Alien X, never agreed on anything. Turning into Alien X was like trying to solve world peace during a high-speed car chase.

A blast of cosmic energy sailed past Ben's head, warping the very fabric of space where it passed. "Omnitrix, you better not let me down," Ben muttered, slamming down on the watch. The familiar green light enveloped him, and a second later, he was Alien X.

Inside the void of Alien X's consciousness, Bellicus and Serena were already at it.

"I demand we do nothing! Let Tennyson handle his own messes," Bellicus boomed, his voice full of righteous indignation.

"Oh, stop being so dramatic, Bellicus. The boy needs our help," Serena countered, her tone dripping with exasperation. "Vilgax has stolen the power of one of our kind!"

"Guys, not the time!" Ben shouted. "Vilgax is out there with powers that could turn the universe into his personal squid empire. Either you help me, or we all go down!"

Meanwhile, Gwen had reached Kevin, her hands glowing with healing energy as she tried to stabilize him. "Kevin, can you hear me?" she whispered, cradling his head. His skin was cold to the touch, drained of energy by Vilgax's forced absorption.

Back in the mind of Alien X, the two celestial beings paused, seemingly considering Ben's words. After what felt like an eternity of back-and-forth bickering, they finally relented.

"Fine," Bellicus growled. "But only because I'd rather not see this universe turned into calamari central."

Back in the real world, Ben felt the surge of Alien X's omnipotent power. "All right, Vilgax," he said, his voice echoing with celestial authority. "Let us dance."

The battle was nothing short of apocalyptic. Energy beams collided, tearing the fabric of reality. The cosmic nursery trembled around them, baby Celestialsapiens protected only by their natural immunity to such powers. Gwen threw up her strongest shield around herself and Kevin, watching as two beings wielding the power of creation itself clashed in the space around them.Vilgax roared in frustration, unleashing a flurry of attacks. Each blast felt like it could destroy a planet. Ben countered with a wave of cosmic energy, pushing Vilgax back. But the tyrant was relentless, and for every blow Ben landed, Vilgax returned one just as devastating.

"You cannot win, Tennyson!" Vilgax bellowed, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "This power is beyond your comprehension!"

Ben gritted his teeth. "Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you!" Reaching deep into himself, he gave a single command "Take away powers, motion carried!" With Vilgax resisting due to his new powers, it took longer, but he stripped him of the stolen Celestialsapien powers. The tyrant's roar of rage was deafening, but the victory was short-lived.

"You may have defeated me... But I am always a step ahead of you." Vilgax sneered. Summoning the last of his powers, he unleashed a massive blackhole.

"If I go down, you're coming with me, Tennyson!" he roared.

"Ben!" Gwen screamed, trying to reach him with her mana, but the pull of the black hole was too strong.

Ben's last coherent thought before being sucked in was, "I really should've had a smoothie before going

The first thing he registered was there something extremely hard below his stomach. Rubbing his eyes, he saw that he was dangling from a tree. "Where... am I?"

His hands instinctively fiddled with his watch. The Omnitrix beeped weakly, informing him that it was in self-repair mode. Great. No transformations, no backup, and no clue where he was. More worryingly, no sign of Gwen or Kevin.

The forest around him was dense and filled with an eerie silence. The air was thick with the smell of damp earth and pine. Ben tried to shake off the disorientation as he surveyed his surroundings. "Omnitrix, locate the nearest Plumber base," he commanded. The watch's voice replied with a series of beeps.
