The morning sun rose over the eastern mountains, casting a golden light on the Gu Clan estate, and the birds began to sing, but inside the cold, damp woodshed in the backyard, the atmosphere was heavy because a pig just woke up.
A fat, heavy pig sat up on the pile of hay. He was not human, and yet wore a large green human robe which was stretched very tight around his belly.
He had two human-like hands and two legs, but his head was undeniably the head of a pig. His nose was flat and pink, his ears were big and floppy, and his skin was covered in sparse, rough hair.
This was Zhu.
Any other day, he would be a pig. However, today the soul inside had changed.
"I am still... Tian Wudi," the pig grunted. His voice was rough and growling. "I still have my Eternal Martial Sovereign memories?"
He looked at his trotters…no, they were human-like hands now, but very chubby and clumsy. He can't even make a proper fist, that's how chubby they were.
He touched his face. He felt the wet nose.
"A pig," he whispered, "I am not a human? How is that possible? Am I not a man too?" He quickly looked at his crotch area.
He sighed with relief because at least the most important tool was there and it was quite majestic, even for a spirit beast he is now.
"I have been reborn as a pig." He quickly accepted his fate.
Tian Wudi closed his eyes and his Eternal Soul scoured the memories and found a new set of memories, not his own but of this body, they flooded into his brain.
In his past life, he was a fool. He practiced swordsmanship for ten thousand years. When the most beautiful Demon Queen offered to warm his bed, he killed her because she waged war with humanity and she was the enemy.
When the Celestial Fairy offered him the Wine of Immortality, he slapped her face because she called mortals insects.
He died sitting on a cold throne, surrounded by millions of corpses, with his virginity intact.
Died for Duty, for Dharma, for Dao.
"Stupid," Tian Wudi cursed himself. "I should have enjoyed my life more instead of a 'stick in my ass' guy, or I wouldn't have been backstabbed by my own sworn brother!"
He also absorbed the memories of the current body.
This body belonged to Zhu.
Zhu was a piglet picked up by the Gu Clan Leader and his wife. They had no children, so they loved this pig. One day he got a very severe fever, and to save his life, they fed him a Bloodline Spirit Pill they found in the hidden tomb of some lost legacy of an ancient immortal.
This pill is very precious because it contains the essence of a thousand-year-old herb. If a human mortal eats this pill, they will gain 50 years of long life and youth.
They had no clue what it would do to their beloved Zhu but they could not imagine losing him to fever.
The pill worked, it saved him but it also forced Zhu to evolve. An unexpected outcome. So, Zhu became a Spirit Beast.
An evolved one.
His body evolved into a human type. Humans like hands and legs but also a Dantian like humans along with a Beast Core in he heart like a Spirit Beast.
He gained intelligence too, he learned to speak. He started calling the Clan Leader as "Father."
They too accepted him as a son and adored like one. His unique dual constitution of Dantian and Beast Core gave them high hope that he will lead their clan to great glory.
But the Father and Mother died three months ago in a beast tide.
Now, Zhu was just an orphan pig living in the woodshed, bullied by the Gu Clan relatives who took over the Clan.
"Zhu, you are lucky & pathetic at the same time," Tian Wudi laughed, causing his fat belly to jiggle.
"But since I am you now, we will change it. I will not be a Pig who rolls in mud. I will be the Sovereign who will now roll in the sheets with Jade Beauties!"
His stomach suddenly made a loud growling sound.
"Hungry," he grumbled. "Lets get my Monthly Resources. The Gu Clan owes me my Spirit Stones. Let's enjoy some strong wine and the fattest roast chicken."
He stood up. The wooden floorboards creaked loudly because he weighed over three hundred pounds. He kicked the door open. Bam!
The door flew off its hinges. Tian Wudi frowned. He did not mean to break it, but gently smirked that he has some beastly strength, he is not a total useless trash.
"Too much muscle, not enough technique."
He stepped into the courtyard. Several servant girls were sweeping the floor. When they saw him, they covered their mouths and whispered.
"Look, it's Young Master Zhu."
"Don't call him Young Master. The new Clan Leader says he is just livestock now."
"He is so ugly. Look at his nose. It's wet."
"He looks adorable to me."
Tian Wudi looked at the servant girls. In his past life, he would have ignored them as 'pink skeletons'. But now, his eyes scanned them. He looked at their waists. He looked at their chests.
"Too thin," he thought, shaking his pig head. "Nothing to eat and enjoy in them. No flavor. Their cultivation is only at the Body Tempering Realm 1st Stage. If I sleep with them, my powerful Yang Energy will explode their bodies. I need stronger women. I need a woman who can handle my new sovereign little brother."
He walked past them, walking on two legs with his hands clasped behind his back. Even though he looked like a comedic swine, his walking posture was extremely arrogant, like an Emperor inspecting his kingdom.
He arrived at the Spirit Hall.
This was where the Gu Clan disciples gathered to receive Spirit Stones. The life resource and currency of cultivation.
