Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Beautiful mermaid underneath the moonlight.

Dareevah silently held the little one in her arms. "Ugly" she chuckled, Kavriel smiled. "He really is Ugly" His eyes glowed, love and affection filling his heart with warmth. There was additional being he had to love.

The rest of the family pooled through the door, all eyes on the newly included member of their family. The little thing couldn't open his eyes yet, his little hands were bawled into fists. He still didn't let out a sound. His chill demeanor almost tearing every one fragile heart to pieces.

Raven stood by her aunty, her pearly white teeth all showing in a toothy grin. "Soo cute" she couldn't help exclaiming. The baby let out a soft sound, a little laugh perhaps.

A light mark shone on the baby's forehead causing the new parents to smile in relief and satisfaction.

Damian stood beside Ale and Darel, small smiles on their faces. Athinna stood beside Raven admiring the baby's red face. He didn't look like a vampire at all.

Damian's gaze landed on her green hair, the thread like strands covering the left side of her face, his breath hitched. 'So pretty'

The image of his daughter standing beside the woman still clad in her blue joggers burned into his eyes, the memory he would never forsake. He wanted to see that picture every day.

Athinna raised her eyes, her lashes casting shadows on her cheek. Her gaze turned cold as she caught the Vampires gaze. Her brows furrowed.

Her chilly gaze startled Damian, his head lowered, wishing he could disappear. Darel stared wide eyed at his brothers flustered appearance.

'Wh…. when did this happen?' Darel truly got scared. Scared for himself and the fate of blood wing.

Ale looked at the shock in Darel's red eyes, a smirk threatening to bloom on his face.

The Darkness, the genesis of every little kid's nightmare. The wind dared not barge in this territory so the trees stood still, like high lords watching a battle unfold.

Screams tore through the silence of darkness. Hurried steps slipped into their twitching ears, eliciting wide grins on their faces. Their fangs send shivers down the spines of all those sent into the panic.

Salva stood surrounded by an army of twenty thousand, not one missing. The chaos around them sending their minds reeling in pleasure. Salve licked his bloody lips. Pure blood lust in his minds.

The retreating witches, a pitiful one tenth of their original number. A roar broke through the darkness, drowning the panicked screams. The twenty thousand resonated with their commander, releasing throaty growls.

The war had ended just as swiftly as it had begun since the Blood ash had cared to join.

Deep into the still trees, an encampment stood in a clearing of cut down trees. An army of hundred thousand some burly men stood in neat formation. Their Alpha seated on a flat stump as steam rose from his healing wounds, a smirk on his face.

His slender arm twirled a golden dagger between his fingers. 'The smell of blood is thick around this parts' He silently thought, the smirk on his face expanding into a toothy grin. The emotions in his eyes, not even his right-hand man could fathom.

"Raven would do the honor of giving the little one a befitting name" Dareevah said with her voice soft from exhaustion. "Huh…Me?" Raven was truly astonished.

She moved closer to the bedside, taking the little thing in her arms. "Feray…. the blood wings moonlight. How is that" The baby ley out another small sound, his tiny face going paler by the second. "It seems, he likes it" Dareevah smiled. Kavriel too. The little flame shaped golden mark on his forehead resonating with the little baby. Dareevah flower shaped red mark shone too. A bond forming between the family of three.

Raven stood by and watched, her heart suddenly growing a little colder.

'Raven, you can find your way home.' The voice she recalled. So sweet it was, the voice she had heard before she had to watch the rain drops fall beside her. A little baby she was when she saw her mother last.

Damian's smile retreated. His heart sinking to the pit of his stomach. He could tell what she thought. His daughter was missing home. Her real home. His heart felt as though a string had tightened its hold around it.

Ale also noticed the faint sadness in the air. He could only sigh." You'll be home soon, don't worry." Damian reached out and patted his little girls silky black hair. He had grown accustomed to being her father. His attachment needed to be waned.

Raven turned to the owner of the hands on her shoulder. Her father! The voice she had heard in the rain. The sixteen years of her life had been spent under this undead's wings. She wouldn't dare to seek abandonment. "Father, don't worry. You are my home. Wherever you are, is my safe haven." Raven smiled at the dejected man. A smile so sweet, his worries were swept with the wind.

The moonlight outside let down a pale blue glow, shrouding the gazebo in shimmers of white and pale blue. The mansion had welcomed a period of Joy and Peace.

Damian walked slowly as the light breeze swayed the strands of his hair. His thoughts were clear and sharp. The thought of his daughter leaving chilled his blood. The breeze carried a faint scent of clear streams and blue lotus. He couldn't deny the yearning in Raven's eyes tore his heart. He didn't want to lose her but he couldn't bear to lock her by his side.

The moonlight shone down, covering the figure underneath the Gazebo. Her wavy green hair swayed with the gentle breeze. Her lashes fluttering. Her delicate arms were hanging by her side. Low humming was heard, the water in the stream floated out surrounding her figure. The Small water spheres took the shape of lotus petals, coming together to form a bud, then it bloomed. Damian's agitated heart skipped a beat. His stood at the stair cases of the Gazebo, his eyes not leaving the woman. The lotus petals glimmered. A strange energy pulsed through them, their inner waves vibrating, following the rhythm of her hums.

"You are so beautiful" Damian said from behind her. She reeled back in shock, almost plunging into the flowing stream. She turned her eyes to Damian's face. "Damian…is it… Don't ignite my fury" She brushed his shoulders as she walked back towards the house.

His lids were lowered, even he didn't why he said that.

With a sigh, he turned around, burning the figure deep in his memories. Another one he wouldn't trade for any reason.
