Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 Obito brings good news

The empty courtyard once again fell silent.

Uchiha Fugaku slowly drank the last sip of tea from his cup, his eyes subtly glancing at the leisurely Chishimo.

"Since all has been said, why are you still sitting here?" Uchiha Fugaku spoke calmly, yet his tone carried an undeniable authority, "Are you idle? Do you need me to assign you some tasks?"

Hearing this, Chishimo, who was leisurely sipping tea, immediately deflated like a punctured balloon, shaking his head like a rattle. He was about to get up, but then he thought of something else.

"Oh, right, Teacher, can I take Itachi with me for training?"

Uchiha Fugaku pondered for a moment, not objecting. He nodded, signaling his agreement.

Only then did Chishimo get up, bow again, and walk towards the door.

As Chishimo was about to push the door and enter the house, Uchiha Fugaku's voice came again.

"Oh, right," Uchiha Fugaku's tone remained calm, "Don't forget to come back for lunch."

Chishimo paused, then, with his back to Uchiha Fugaku, he let out a hearty laugh, acknowledged, opened the door, and entered the house, leaving Uchiha Fugaku alone in the courtyard, smiling as he refilled his teacup.

"Itachi!" After only a few steps, Chishimo had already spotted Uchiha Itachi sitting quietly in a chair, waiting.

"Brother Chishimo!" Seeing Chishimo, Uchiha Itachi jumped off the chair and walked over to Chishimo.

Chishimo affectionately patted Uchiha Itachi's head and said with a smile, "Let's go to the training grounds. Let me see how much you've mastered from what I taught you last time."

"No problem!" Uchiha Itachi was eager to try. "But Brother Chishimo, this time you have to teach me some new Ninjutsu!"

"Haha, no problem!"

The two, one big and one small, walked out of the house side by side and headed towards the forest, their shadows stretching long in the sunlight...

After a morning of training, Chishimo took Uchiha Itachi back for lunch, then bid farewell to Uchiha Fugaku and the others.

It was noon, and the sun, high above, scorched the entire sky golden. A gentle breeze brushed against his cheek, carrying a faint floral scent. Birds flapped their wings, singing joyfully. Everything seemed gentle and pleasant.

Chishimo also greatly enjoyed the current scene, his steps unusually light and leisurely, as if he were strolling.

"Ah! Move out of the way!" A sudden, startled cry erupted from behind Chishimo, breaking the quiet scene.

A boy in blue was rushing towards Chishimo at an extremely high speed. Probably because he had only just noticed Chishimo in front of him, the boy couldn't stop in time, and his body uncontrollably crashed towards Chishimo's back.

In the nick of time, Chishimo slightly turned his body, calmly dodging the collision. Then, he grabbed the boy's back collar, immediately stopping the rapidly moving boy.

"Hey, I'm telling you, don't run so fast on the main road, it's very dangerous..." Chishimo, unable to stand it, was about to lecture him, but then he looked up and saw the person's face. "Obito?"

Hearing the person who grabbed him call out his name, Uchiha Obito turned his head in confusion. Upon seeing that it was Chishimo, he immediately jumped up happily.

"Chishimo! It's you! I didn't expect us to meet here, it's truly fate!" Uchiha Obito was carefree, the incident of almost hitting someone long forgotten.

"Fate my foot!" Chishimo didn't indulge Uchiha Obito, raising his hand and chopping him on the head. "Haven't I told you many times? Why are you still running so fast? You're lucky you ran into me this time. What if you ran into an old person next time?"

Uchiha Obito clutched his aching head, his face full of grievance, and said, "I'm sorry, Chishimo, I'll definitely be careful next time!"

Chishimo rubbed his head; he had heard this sentence countless times.

"Tell me, what are you in such a hurry to do again?"

Every time Uchiha Obito ran around frantically in the streets, the reasons were largely the same: he was delayed because he helped an old person, or he was going to be late, etc. Chishimo was long used to this.

Hearing that Chishimo didn't continue to scold him, Uchiha Obito's smile returned. He scratched his head and said with a hint of pride, "Speaking of which, Chishimo, you don't know yet! After you and Shisui passed the exam last time, everyone else passed too. We're all Genin now!"

There was nothing surprising about hearing that Obito's group had all successfully been promoted to Genin.

After all, he was a man with the script in his hand. Although the exam content had deviated a bit because of him, their strength was there, so it wasn't strange for them to become Genin.

"Congratulations!" Chishimo offered his blessings.

Seeing that Chishimo didn't show the surprised expression he had expected, Uchiha Obito pouted a bit in dissatisfaction, but then he thought of something else and his expression became excited again.

"Oh, right, Chishimo, we're planning to go out for a good meal at noon to celebrate! We wanted to invite you, but you weren't home this morning. Now's perfect, come with me!"

Eat? Chishimo looked up at the sun, which was now directly overhead, and twitched his mouth.

Although eating at his teacher's house at noon was indeed a bit early, for Obito to just now be running off to eat lunch, wasn't that a bit late?

"Sorry, next time. I have something to do later." Chishimo waved his hand in refusal. "Also, if you want to invite me to eat next time, could you do it a bit earlier?"

Saying this, Chishimo helplessly extended a finger and pointed at the sun above his head.

Obito, who had been a bit disappointed when Chishimo refused, looked up in the direction Chishimo was pointing, and his body trembled as he realized something.

"Ah, no!" Uchiha Obito didn't bother with Chishimo, turned around, and ran off again. "Sorry, Chishimo, I'm going to be late, let's talk next time!"

Sigh!

Chishimo sighed, looking at the simple-minded boy in front of him, unable to see any trace of that ruthless masked man.

Shaking his head, he pushed away the jumbled thoughts in his mind, and Chishimo started walking again.

Chishimo walked out of the Uchiha Clan compound, crossed several streets, and finally reached his destination in the central area of the Village—Konoha Hospital.

That's right, coming to Konoha Hospital, Chishimo naturally intended to learn Medical Ninjutsu.

For Chishimo now, his Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu had all achieved considerable success, but this was still not enough.

Chishimo knew that he would inevitably go to the battlefield in the future. Fierce battles were unavoidable, and there was no guarantee he wouldn't get a minor injury or illness. If there was a Medical Ninja nearby, it would be fine, but what if there wasn't?

Chishimo dared not gamble, nor could he. As the saying goes, it's better to rely on oneself than on others. To be prepared for anything, Chishimo decided to come to the hospital to study.

As for how to learn, and from whom? Chishimo said he hadn't thought it through yet. In short, he would go in and see first.

Upon entering Konoha Hospital, Chishimo immediately smelled the scent of disinfectant, identical to hospitals in his previous World.

After looking around, Chishimo's first reaction was how large it was. Even in his previous World, Konoha Hospital could probably be rated as a top-tier hospital, of course, only in terms of its size. If Medical Ninjutsu were also taken into account, it would not be an exaggeration to say that Konoha Hospital was the number one hospital in the World.
