Chapter 1 - RESURRECTION

On a busy day when the sun was at its peak, young Edward had finally gotten the chance to take a break from his tight notched job at the construction company. He hoped to spend his precious thirty minutes at the coffee shop across the road. But when he arrived at the entrance of his building, Edwards wondered how he was going to reach his destination without the scorching sun turning him into a roasted piece of meat. Only if he had magic, he thought to himself. He could have flown over to the coffee shop or be teleported. Unfortunately, science had taken over the world and magic were just a figment of people's imagination.

Finally, he mastered all the courage he could find and took the first step outside, and then the second and the third until his body begun to produce sweat. Walking across the road, another misfortune had suddenly befallen him. He had just dropped his cell phone on the road.

Edward quickly bent down to pick up his phone and quickly cross over. And then there came the long heavy truck out of nowhere. By the time Edwards thought of running, he was just inches away from being knocked down.

Another perfect opportunity to use magic if magic were real, however reality had already struck him and his body was knocked down by the heavy truck.

"Damm, what a funny way to die. And I'm still a virgin."

After that his consciousness slowly faded away, and all he could now see was darkness.

…...

"Run!"

Said a beautiful mage running with a magic staff in her hand. Her two friends followed and they run with all their might from their incoming danger.

"Luna, cast a fireball to slow them down." Said an elven assassin, clad in a black outfit.

As they run, Luna quickly recited an enchantment and her staff begun to ignite. After gathering enough mana, she finally took a pause and stretched her staff towards the approaching monsters.

"Fireball!"

Kaboom! The fireball produced a lot of smoke which slowed them down but obviously not for long. The monster after them had a rocky fiery body and very angry faces. There were roughly about four of them chasing after the group.

After some seconds had passed, the monsters returned with even angrier faces ready to slash them apart.

"I see a room over there! Let's hide there." sad sir Criston.

A few minutes before Luna and her friends arrived in the room, another guest carefully moved through the corridors of the castle with itchy hands, like a rat hustling for food leftovers. She continued until she arrived in front of a huge gate. She exclaimed in wonder at the size of the gate.

Eager to discover what she might find within, she pushed through until she finally appeared behind the huge gate. And when she did, her eyes suddenly blasted open like a bomb and her mouth dropped down wide open. After lagging in disbelief, she run happily like an excited little girl towards an enormous pile of gold coins and other treasures.

She jumped and landed with her belly on top of the gold. Then she played and celebrated with all her might. All this treasure was now hers. This would be her greatest achievement in her career as a thief.

But first she had to find a way to plunder all this treasure quickly before any monster finds her. While her mind remained deep in thought, her eyes moved on to another discovery, a chest, a large one in fact.

She suddenly became inquisitive and then her body begun to move on its own. She began wondering what great treasure she might find inside the chest.

She begun to push away the lid of the crate until the great door behind her cried open and some uninvited guests arrived. They seemed to be running from something. She thought. They quickly begun to close the doors until she spotted monster approaching at a terrible speed. Before they had the door completely closed, the monsters had already arrived and begun to push the door open.

Sir Criston quickly lifted up a long heavy wood and blocked the entrance, to prevent the monsters from arriving. They banged the gate multiple times, but thankfully it was all futile for them.

They all sighed and turned their eyes to the treasure which was lying in front of their eyes.

"Wow! That's enough gold to take care of the entire country." Said Ginny

"NO! The treasure is mine! I found it first."

"Amber? You thief! What are you doing here?" Luna asked

"I can ask you the same question."

Amber replied. She smiled and later grew happy to know that she had silenced her enemies and successfully claimed ownership of the treasure. But some seconds later, their faces begun to change mysteriously.

"What's wrong with them?" She asked herself. "It looks like they've seen a ghost."

Amber finally turned backwards to satisfy her curiosity once more. Amber instantly became scared when she saw a man climbing out of the chest she had just opened.

The ghost finally left the chest and stood upright while holding a massive sword.
