Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Nations

"Is this going to be our territory from now on?" Al reached out, feeling the wind against his fingers!

"Mama mama! Although not recognized by the World Government, as long as we establish Totto Land here, then this is our territory." Linlin's eyes held hope and longing for the future.

Immediately after, a meeting belonging only to Totto Land, with just three people, began on the demon king ship.

Milim, Charlotte Linlin, and Al sat around a large table.

Linlin was the first to stand up and begin the meeting's main topic.

"Now that we have arrived at our final destination, we should build houses where people can rest as quickly as possible."

Al nodded: "Those pirates we caught can be put to good use. Each of them is quite strong, so building houses should be quick."

"Mhm, I thought so too." Milim nodded in agreement from the side.

"With the housing problem solved, our Totto Land must have enough people. There are some villagers on Spring Island now, but their numbers are very small, completely insufficient to support the establishment of a nation." Charlotte Linlin raised another issue.

"This matter is also easy to solve. We can look for kingdoms that have been plundered by pirates; there should be many refugees there willing to follow us." Al again offered a solution.

"Mhm, exactly what I was thinking!" Milim agreed again!

"Third, although we can survive on fish from the sea for now, this is not a long-term solution. We still need a stable, long-term food source." Charlotte Linlin pondered for a moment, then raised another problem.

This problem also stumped Al; obtaining food was simple, but consistently obtaining food was not so easy.

Although Spring Island had a lot of barren land, transforming all of it into fertile land capable of growing crops was practically impossible for the pirates they brought in the short term.

However, if… Al silently shifted his gaze to Milim. Seeing Al's expression, Charlotte Linlin seemed to understand something and also turned her gaze to Milim.

"Mhm, I also…" Milim was about to repeat her usual agreement, but suddenly felt that something was wrong.

She looked up and saw two pairs of eyes staring directly at her.

Frightened, Milim held up her juice in front of her. "Why are you two staring at me like that?"

Linlin gradually came behind Milim, grabbed Milim's twin pigtails with both hands, lowered her head, and whispered into Milim's ear.

"Milim, you wouldn't want everyone to go hungry, would you?"

What kind of island nation language is this? Linlin, you've become corrupted.

Milim stared at Charlotte Linlin in disbelief!

Seeing Milim's expression, as if to say, 'Linlin, you've changed,' Linlin finally laughed.

"Alright, I'm not teasing you anymore." Linlin released her grip on the pigtails and looked at Milim with excitement in her eyes: "Milim, come help us reclaim the barren land! With your abilities, you can definitely do it."

"This is something none of us can do; only you can."

The last sentence instantly appealed to Milim's proud little heart.

"Since you're begging me like this, of course, I won't let you down." Milim gave a thumbs-up, flashing a confident smile.

"Indeed, only you can handle reclaiming this barren land." Al added from behind.

This comment made the already overly proud Milim's nose practically turn up to the sky.

Linlin and Al, while Milim was still engrossed in her self-admiration, walked out of the meeting room.

Upon reaching the meeting room door, the two of them bumped fists simultaneously.

"Excellent teamwork!" x2

The two exchanged a look, then quickly went to deal with the first two problems.

Under Linlin's arrangements, the captured pirates could only bitterly chop trees, working 10 hours a day, including meal breaks, before resting. Although they had food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this still made these pirates, accustomed to freedom at sea, feel very uncomfortable.

But there was nothing they could do; they couldn't defeat that monstrous woman, so they could only obediently work here.

These pirates all possessed great strength. Although they didn't know how to build houses, there were people among those Milim brought who did.

As time passed, with one house after another standing tall, those pirates suddenly felt a sense of accomplishment for some reason.

Although not much time had passed, their bodies seemed to have adapted to this lifestyle during this period, even adopting the habit of an afternoon nap.

The human body is amazing, isn't it?

Al, on his side, began gathering the people from the surrounding Villages, announcing that Totto Land was about to be established, and asking if they wanted to become citizens of Totto Land.

Although the villagers were initially unwilling, seeing the earth-shattering commotion in the distance, even a small mountain collapsing, and learning that joining Totto Land would grant them more fertile land, they relented.

Thus, these villagers were very obedient and couldn't resist the temptation, choosing to join Totto Land.

Currently, if the captured pirates were included, Totto Land had over 1000 people in total. While in his previous life, 1000 people might only be considered a Village.

But here, a small country of over 1000 people was considered normal.

Compared to Linlin and Al's smooth progress, Milim's side caused a much greater stir.

Milim, like a crimson meteor, continuously ran across the land, each step crushing the barren ground.

The strong winds generated by her running would kick up dirt, and under Milim's deliberate control, would then re-cover the ground behind her.

Whether it was trees, massive rocks, or small mountains in front of her, Milim charged straight through. She ran for three full days, finally turning over all the barren land several times.

The once hard-to-cultivate and very firm barren land became incredibly soft.

If an ordinary person were to handle this barren land, it would take at least a year or two to complete, but who would have thought that Milim could maintain such speed for three or four days without change?

In this world where great power is inherent, it is not surprising for powerful individuals to accomplish anything.

Soon, Totto Land was established. Although it was a nation of over 1000 people, its establishment still greatly excited many.

Some were captured pirates who had eaten their fill and decided not to be pirates anymore, others were villagers who saw hope for the future, and of course, the most excited were the orphans from the Home of the Lambs who followed Milim and witnessed the establishment of Totto Land firsthand.

Charlotte Linlin also officially became the first King and Queen of Totto Land at this time, responsible for setting the broad direction.

Milim also became the Guardian Deity of Totto Land, and her own portrait even became the national flag! Her sole responsibility was to protect Totto Land, though she could also offer her opinions in various meetings.

Al naturally became the Prime Minister, responsible for managing all affairs of Totto Land, from top to bottom.

Of course, within Totto Land, there were pirates who wished to stay there forever, and also pirates who still yearned for the sea and freedom.

However, under Milim's absolutely overwhelming power, these pirates temporarily lay low, not daring to make any moves.

All in all, under Charlotte Linlin's management, Totto Land was developing in a positive direction.
