Synopsis
Hendrik died without glory, thinking he’d finally get some rest. Instead, he woke up in another body—only to have his second childhood taken from him What could’ve been a better future turned into training designed to break anyone. They suppressed him, rewired him, and shaped him into a weapon. Half the things a human can feel were stripped from him. The other half he lost through pain and missions. The only thing they left him was hatred—and that’s what kept him sane. He knew who he should’ve hated: the State that turned him into a nameless Ghost. But he chose to hate more the people who could’ve saved him and didn’t: his parents. Vengeance needs allies, even rotten ones. His was Arcturus Mengsk, tyrant of the Terran Dominion. Hendrik became his shadow, his knife, the one who made names disappear from the list. Until he learned the Emperor died by the hand of his own son. And he—the “perfect tool”—could do nothing. His last act of loyalty was trying to depose the murderer. He failed. He escaped the hell that was the Dominion’s civil war… only to end up somewhere even worse, dragging with him whatever remained of the people still loyal to him. There’s still one name left on his list— and until it’s crossed out in blood, he won’t stop.

Chapter 1 - In case it bothers you to read five supplementary chapters

Here's a quick overview of the main character so you don't need to go through the five-chapter introduction.

The MC is a Ghost — a Terran psionic operative who doesn't rely on the Warp. Terran psionics draw power purely from their own mind, which makes them completely immune to Warp corruption. Their abilities are more limited in raw magnitude compared to Warp-based psykers, but far more stable

His observable psionic talents include telepathy, mind control, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and psionic storms. In extreme situations he can also bend or modify certain physical laws within a localized area, altering things like inertia, kinetic transfer, or thermal behavior for a short period of time.
