The Thousand Sunny drifted along calm, glittering waves, the sky bright and peaceful above it. Luffy lounged on the figurehead with his arms behind his head, humming while watching clouds float by.
"You're awfully relaxed," Nami said, counting the latest treasure the crew had "borrowed."
Luffy grinned. "I can feel something super fun coming!"
Zoro cracked an eye open from his nap against the mast. "Last time you said that, we got chased by a sea king the size of a mountain."
Sanji lit a cigarette and smirked. "At least Mosshead got his daily exercise running away."
"SHUT UP CURLY-BROW!" Zoro snapped.
"BRING IT RUTO-BAR!" Sanji shot back.
Usopp and Chopper hid behind the railing. "Here they go again…"
And then it happened.
The sky ripped open.
A swirling ball of orange energy cracked reality itself like broken glass. Wind roared across the Sunny as if a giant hand was pushing the ship.
Nami grabbed the railing. "What the hell is THAT?!"
Franky shouted, "THAT AIN'T SUPERRR NORMAL!"
A shadow fell from the vortex — fast — like a meteor.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A crater blasted into the deck, splitting wood and sending smoke everywhere.
"WAAAAH!" Usopp screamed. "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!"
Zoro was already on his feet, swords half-drawn.Sanji kicked off the ground, flames sparking from his heel.Luffy leaped down from the figurehead, excited instead of scared.
As the smoke thinned… a silhouette stepped forward.
Spiky black hair.Orange gi.Calm eyes.And an aura that felt unreal — not Devil Fruit, not haki. Something else.
He smiled awkwardly.
"Uh… hey. Anyone know where I am?"
Sanji gritted his teeth. "How the hell do you crash into our ship like that and TALK like you just lost your keys?!"
Zoro tightened his grip on his swords. "His presence is strong. Too strong."
Chopper trembled. "He-he's not human, is he?!"
Goku scratched his head. "I'm Goku! I think I fell through some kind of portal. I didn't mean to drop in on you guys."
Luffy's grin stretched from ear to ear.
"GOKU?! That name is AWESOME! Are you strong?!"
Goku blinked. "Uh… yeah, I guess so."
Luffy punched his fist into his palm.Zoro smirked.Sanji cracked his neck.The crew felt it instantly — this guy wasn't lying.
"A strong guy just landed right on our ship," Luffy said, bouncing with excitement. "This is AMAZING!"
Sanji stepped forward, flame swirling around his foot. "Hey space-boy, if you're dangerous, I'll kick you right back into that hole you fell from."
Zoro unsheathed Wado Ichimonji. "I'd like to test him myself."
Goku laughed nervously. "Wow… you guys are really fired up. Are all pirates like this?"
Luffy stretched his arm back.
"Goku! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A SPA—"
BANG!!!
A sudden burst of wind blasted the deck as Goku vanished from sight.
He reappeared behind Luffy, hands raised calmly.
"Wait—maybe we shoul—"
Zoro's slash tore through the air where Goku stood.Sanji's kick exploded from the left.Luffy's fist came from the right.
Goku dodged all three in a single smooth motion.
"Whoa! You guys are crazy strong too!"
The crew froze.
He read all three attacks… instantly.
Luffy's smile widened even more.
"You're awesome! I DEFINITELY want you on my crew!"
Goku laughed. "A pirate crew? That sounds fun."
Zoro grinned. "Captain, you're recruiting people who drop out of the sky now?"
Sanji blew smoke and eyed Goku suspiciously. "If he even LOOKS at Nami-swan the wrong way, he's dead."
But Nami stepped forward with stars in her eyes.
"Does… your world have treasure?"
Goku thought for a moment. "Uh… well… there are Dragon Balls…"
Chopper's eyes sparkled. "Dragon… what?!"
Usopp fainted again.
And above them, the portal crackled.
As if something else… or someone else… was coming through.
Luffy looked up and laughed.
"This is gonna be the BEST adventure ever!"
