Chapter 1 - protolouge

I am a transmigrator from Earth. I don't remember how I died, nor do I remember who I was before, neither my name nor my appearance. I don't remember anything. My memories are starting to grow fuzzy. Who I was before is also beginning to fade. I only remember I am a transmigrator from Earth, nothing else.

I redraw my focus someone is calling me, an old man around his mid 70s.

The old man is shouting my name, "Seon Haneul" I look at the old man although it doesn't sound like he is shouting at all.

He is the chief of the village. The village is not that big, only having 100 or fewer people.

I approach the old man (I'm not gonna name him and he is going to be a minor character maybe).

I replied to him, "Yes, what is the need old chief?" but he looks at me with a dazed look. It seems like he didn't hear me.

Even though he didn't hear me, he still spoke.

"Seon Haneul´´ you're a promising young man. I want you to find a better living condition. Take this letter it is for a martial school at Zan Liu (a city I just made up for this novel, not a real place, and don't forget this is a different world)."

I think it's because I am his grandnephew. Who would give such a letter to an outsider?

The old man spoke again.

"This letter was meant for your father when he was the same age as you but he didn't have any willingness to learn martial arts. Now take this letter and I'll arrange a carriage for you tomorrow"

Thus he began to leave, although he was quite slow but still managed to walk home.

I took a glance at the letter and the date. It still had a few days to expire. No wonder that old man gave it to me because he didn't find anyone suitable for the job other than me.

Now I can just leave the farm work to other people in the village and rest, but wouldn't that make it easier for me? But no, that would be selfish of me, how kindly they treated me when my parents abandoned the village and left me when I was still a baby. This kind of kindness would not even exist in another world, so can I help them one last time?

I begin to continue farming, not for myself but for the people of the village. Soon the sun fell and I began to head to my house, the only thing that was left by my parents.

The house is not big, it's quite small, just having a bedroom and a kitchen and a small bathroom (not a modern one). I usually take a bath outside.

I entered the house and lay on the bed. My consciousness began to drift into a slumber. After a day had passed, I gradually opened my eyes. I began to stretch, then I got out, seeing the old chief and a carriage tied to a horse beside him. There was no one on the horse from the speculation that the old chief was going to ride the horse. And the speculation was indeed true. The old chief, with new vigour, tried to ride the horse but couldn't reach it, so I had to step in to help him get to the horse's saddle.

"Old chief are you certain you know how to ride a horse?"

"Of course don't fear When I was in my young days I used to be a horse racing champion."

I got into the carriage's seat and we began to head off. Soon hours passed.

"Get up, boy We are here."

I get up from the seat; my body feels sore all over from sitting so much. Getting out, my eyes widen at the scene. The city was quite big, unlike the village. It was a place built with metal and steel. Everything was advanced, there was even a guy inside what seemed like a vehicle flying, huge towering buildings.
