Rain calls up Mailen, who is talking to Renji about the Laurentia-related things. He does not reply.
"If ever something goes wrong, use this codeword. We will urgently teleport you back to Threadia, no matter what. However, it only works once a year.", says Renji, giving Mailen a piece of paper with the codeword on it.
"Thanks. I'll let everyone else know.", says Mailen.
Just then, the crew teleports to Threadia.
"Oh, you're here. Why aren't you responding to my calls?", asks Rain.
"Because I was busy dealing with the rocket and Renji.", says Mailen.
"Well, what is it? When can we go?", asks Rain.
"We can go whenever you're ready. We also need to let the Intelligents know. Aeternum told me they're coming too.", says Mailen.
"Okay. I'll deal with getting the Intelligents here. You get into the rocket.", says Aeternum, teleporting to Astoria and sending a meetup message to the Intelligents.
The crew enters the rocket, and after an hour, Aeternum comes with 20 other people.
"These are the Intelligents. Let's go.", says Aeternum.
The excited Intelligents are shaking hands with the Thread, some even fangirling 'The Weavers'.
Everybody enters the rocket. Jala turns on a broadcast of the Thread's cameras, keeping track of the progress on Xita's cleaning. Zarya, being herself, teases Xita through the cameras. "How's cleaning going??"
"Actually pretty good!", says Xita.
Zarya pouts as she keeps trying to ragebait Xita, failing miserably. Rain laughs at Zarya. "The ragebaiter is being ragebaited. How cute~"
Zarya just looks at Rain, and leans closer. "no u."
Rain just looks at Zarya with no words.
Everybody prepares for the launch.
"Five. Four… Three… Two… One… Launch.", says Renji.
Rain smiles at that countdown. It gives her flashbacks to the Thread's first launch, nearly a year ago.
"Let's go to our biggest mission yet. Laurentia, here we come.", she thinks.
Mailen receives a call from Vega.
"Hey, Mailen! We've heard from Threadia that you're headed to Laurentia. I just want to tell you, I want to wish you the best~", says Vega. Asten is in the background working, not saying anything.
"Thanks, Vega! We'll see you soon!", says Mailen, now ending the call.
After two days of wormhole travel, the crew makes it near Laurentia.
"...Now is the time for our trial. Let's see if we can make it in.", says Rain.
