In the hotel, the crew is thinking of their next plan for their next adventure.
"Well, after this EXPO we got nothing. We also do not have the Thread for the time being.", says Rain.
Rain then calls up Xita.
"Hey, Xita, you sadly will have to stay behind on the next mission to clean up the Thread. Got it?"
"No problem!", answers Xita.
Rain and Xita agree that Xita stays behind for the next mission.
"Now, where do we even plan to go next?", asks Zarya.
"I got no idea. Any one of you know?", asks Rain.
"Well, I got Laurentia. They have a bunch of issues to deal with. Futurum will explain the entire situation later.", says Aeternum.
"Okay. I'll call Mailen to see if he wants to go there.", says Rain.
Rain calls Mailen and asks if he wants to go to Laurentia. He agrees, and adds something else.
"I got Renji to give us a rocket to travel while the Thread is being repaired. We'll use it to go to Laurentia then.", says Mailen on the phone.
"Okay. I'll meet you in Threadia then.", says Rain, hanging up the call.
"You heard him. Let's waypoint to Threadia."
The entire crew teleports to Threadia's headquarters.
"Is this how you handle things, Mailen? Just get somebody else to do things for you? Did you learn this from your time on the UHC?", asks Renji.
"Well, we call that the 'Astorian way'.", says Mailen, smirking.
"Right, you Astorians have a tendency to be lazy as hell.", sighs Renji.
"Hello, Renji.", says Rain. "So, where is our rocket that will take us to Laurentia?"
Renji looks at Rain. "Laurentia? Don't you need the trust of Venera?"
Futurum looks at Renji. "How do you know that?"
Renji looks back. "We were told by Star. She warned us about Laurentian issues. She guessed you'll go there. She only has one tip to give you guys."
"Never trust Venera. Even if she trusts you."
"Good luck."
Zarya gets the chills. "Oh gosh, hopefully it won't be that hard."
Finally, the crew reaches the rocket.
"We'll plan the trip in three days. Everybody, go and have fun in Astoria, or stay here.", says Rain.
"I have gotten an invitation by Samuel. You're also invited, Kira. Let's go.", says Aeternum, teleporting to Malyxia to meet with Samuel.
Aeternum and Futurum find themselves in a room. Samuel, on the other end of the table, greets the Vennurs.
"Hello there, Mr. and Mrs. Vennur. Please sit down.", says Samuel. "I have heard that you will be going to Laurentia with other Intelligents to help them resolve Laurentia's issues."
"That is correct.", says Aeternum.
"Well, because of this, I want to tell you the issues in Laurentia as well.", says Samuel.
"Around 20 years ago, the 'gods' of the Laurentian earth have banished its demigods to the skies. This is a fairly newly discovered planet. It is rogue.", he adds.
"Around 5 years ago, a new leader got elected by the 100 demigods of the skies. The demigods of earth have separated themselves, and now the only habitable area on the planet, which is the sky, has now become a warzone. On top of that, the planet's core is shifting in on itself, which means that the planet will explode, most likely killing all 200 demigods.", he adds.
"..And how do you know that info?", asks Aeternum.
"Even though 5 years ago, the new leader removed its cosmic incorporation, we have spies in the Network that we sent to Laurentia, that are sending us this info.", says Samuel. "3456, do you really think you know what this Network has?"
"...Not really, it seems.", says Aeternum.
"Samuel. Stop. I know the two of us are 'young' and know jacksh*t about the Network, but this is not how you treat your juniors.", says Futurum. "As much as I remember, in the Network rulebook, calling somebody by their number is the rudest way to talk to somebody. And, questioning their knowledge is more than prohibited. Do you want me to call security on you?"
Samuel looks sorry. "Okay, okay. Sorry, I didn't mean to go this far. I just had a very bad day."
Aeternum looks at Samuel and forgives him.
"Here, something that may cheer you on in Laurentia. A 'scent of your home'.", says Samuel.
Samuel opens a safe, and takes out two flowers.
Mayik looks shocked at a flower.
"This is the Cosmia Nova, a Mayikan flower. Directly from Großglück.", says Samuel, handing the flower to Aeternum.
Then, he gives Futurum her flower. "This is the Hoshinaran 'Aihana', directly from Seishun City."
The Vennurs accept the gift.
"I am still going to warn you for being rude to Aeternum, you know.", says Futurum.
"That is fair and honest. Alright. You may leave now. You have all the info you need for your adventure. There's 20 fellow Intelligents joining you as well. Good luck.", says Samuel, teleporting the two back where they came from.
The Vennurs look at each other. "This guy is crazy.", says Aeternum.
"True. Oh well.", says Futurum.
The two head back to where the crew is.
"Hey there!", says Rain.
"Hey. Any updates about Xita?", asks Futurum.
"Uhh, Xita is about 5% done with the cleaning. Estimated finish date is around 2 months from now.", says Rain. "Mailen is preparing the rocket to fly us to Laurentia."
"Good. It won't just be us there. There's 20 other Intelligents that will go with us.", says Aeternum.
"Got it.", says Rain.
