Christmas was fast approaching, and Zhou Yi made a long phone call to his mother in Europe. After chatting with her for a long time, he finally decided to take Xiaruisi to Europe to spend Christmas with Zhou Lan.
Zhou Lan, who had inexplicably burst with a passion for work, had been busy in Europe for several months, and even planned to spend the Christmas holiday there. This baffled Zhou Yi, who even suspected that his mother, Ms. Zhou Lan, had found a second spring in Europe. After all, France was known for its romance. Although Zhou Yi always felt that the French were more famous for their arrogance than their romance.
He told Xiaruisi the news, and the mischievous little girl was naturally overjoyed to have the chance to escape school life. She also made her own request: to bring her new friends along. Zhou Yi himself had no objections to this. It was a good thing that Xiaruisi had good friends, but the key was why he had to persuade the school teachers.
This blatant attempt to set her brother up left Zhou Yi helpless. On the one hand, there was his mother's request and Xiaruisi's unreasonable behavior, and on the other hand, there was Aoluoluo's reproach. She was a very responsible teacher, so even with Zhou Yi around, she was not at ease with students going out, especially to such a distant place.
To reassure Aoluoluo, he had to go to the school himself. On the one hand, he wanted to persuade Aoluoluo, and on the other hand, he wanted to pick up Xiaruisi and her friends.
Like a private driver, he drove his Bentley to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. As soon as Zhou Yi got out of the car, he saw Xiaruisi waiting in the foyer.
"It's rare to see you, my little rascal?" Zhou Yi gave his sister a big hug and pinched her cheeks, teasingly. "Did you get into some trouble again and need your dear brother to solve it?"
"Bad guy Yi!" Xiaruisi slapped away the hand that was messing with her face, her fangs bared, looking like an angry cat. "I warn you, don't mess with my face with your paws, and I'm not a little rascal, you should call me Shanshuo, got it."
"Huh?" Zhou Yi helpfully dug at his ear, looking blank. "Were you talking to me just now? Getting a bit old, and I seem to have developed a slight hearing problem."
"Agh! You bastard, I'm not done with you." Xiaruisi, just like when she was a child, threw a flurry of punches. Zhou Yi, also with practiced ease, hoisted his sister onto his shoulders and began a chaotic centrifugal spin.
This intimate action, identical to their childhood roughhousing, made Xiaruisi wail, clearly embarrassed by her pathetic appearance. She immediately began to slap Zhou Yi's back, screaming.
"Put me down, you awful guy. Put me down, I'll make you pay."
Zhou Yi smirked.
"My dear sister, it seems your busy school life has made you forget how terrifying your big brother, the devil, can be. Let me see what makes you so confident to talk to me like this." Saying this, he reached his wicked hand towards Xiaruisi's armpit.
Where did Xiaruisi's ultimate move on Kaidi come from? That's right, it came from Zhou Yi's teachings. However, compared to Zhou Yi, her methods were far inferior. After all, Zhou Yi had precious experience gained from the many beauties of various countries and races. In terms of technique alone, he was a true master, not even in the same league as Xiaruisi, a beginner who could only roughhouse with little girls.
Faced with Zhou Yi's master-level devil's hand, Xiaruisi immediately showed signs of defeat. She began to laugh, which was worse than crying, her whole body shaking like a twitching shrimp. Tears flowed freely. In Zhou Yi's hands, her pathetic state was far more pitiful than Kaidi's when she was in her grasp.
Seeing such a miserable state befalling a charming young girl would certainly elicit sympathy. And for teenagers whose hormones were in full swing, Xiaruisi's situation was enough to make them indignant.
A somewhat silly-looking young man, in Zhou Yi's eyes, suddenly jumped forward. He was a young man with brown hair, and perhaps it was a common ailment of youth, but his face always wore a rebellious expression, like a little brat who didn't take anything seriously and wanted to bare his teeth at everything. And these kinds of young people generally weren't very likable, because they always thought too highly of themselves.
Zhou Yi didn't particularly like this leaping fellow. In his first impression, he felt this young man was far inferior to Peter, whom he had seen last time. And this bad impression deepened instantly the moment he spoke.
"Hey! Dude, put that girl down. Or you'll regret not having paid your medical insurance this year!"
Stopping his actions, Zhou Yi frowned at the suddenly appearing fellow and said, somewhat displeased.
"Young man, are you sure you haven't watched too many gangster movies? If I were you, I'd better assess the situation before deciding whether or not to rush in like that."
The reason he could speak to this young man so calmly was partly out of consideration for Xiaruisi, who was his classmate, and partly because of Ororo and the others. After all, this was their school, and he didn't want to be blamed by her and Qin Gelei for bullying Ororo's students.
Otherwise, based on his temper back in school, any guy who dared to speak to him like that would basically be cooling his heels in the hospital. Yes, Zhou Yi wasn't a good little bunny in school. He was a true campus bully, and he had caused no small amount of trouble for the sake of jealousy. During his high school and university years, he had often dealt with the school's basketball players and football quarterbacks. His youthful arrogance was absolutely top-notch.
The young man in front of Zhou Yi clearly didn't know that Zhou Yi was a veteran bully on campus. He was incredibly persistent, insisting that Zhou Yi let go of Xiaruisi. To emphasize his point, he even pulled out a Zippo lighter.
Zhou Yi knew that Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters was full of weirdos, but he hadn't realized there were such single-minded individuals among Ororo's students. These types were the favorites of cunning old foxes like him – easy to trick, easy to use, and easy to discard. There was no psychological pressure at all. These foolish guys didn't even know how to socialize, understanding nothing beyond their own daydreams. Even if you kicked them aside, no one would speak up for them.
Zhou Yi waved his hand dismissively, signaling the young man to get lost. He had no interest in playing a hero-saves-damsel game, especially since this sudden interruption had completely ruined the good mood he'd gotten from messing around with his sister.
Xiaruisi, having recovered, was also quite exasperated with the sudden appearance of this classmate.
"John, this has nothing to do with you. Could you please stop appearing in front of me like this?"
Clearly, for Xiaruisi, this guy was also a rather annoying presence, a nuisance like a persistent piece of chewing gum.
A young girl in the prime of her youth wouldn't care how much her words hurt the feelings of a lovestruck boy. Even if she knew, Xiaruisi wouldn't care. She wasn't the type to tolerate her own suffering for the sake of others. Under Zhou Yi's influence, she had her own pride. Weak concepts wouldn't exist within her. She wasn't a pushover and saw no reason to pay for other people's emotions.
Hearing Xiaruisi's words, the Mutant boy named John flushed red. He felt his self-esteem had suffered a severe blow. Everyone fantasized about being a hero at some point, but some could see reality, while others couldn't. They lived self-centered lives, even irrationally projecting their anger and mistakes onto anyone.
And the young man before him was just like that. He blamed Zhou Yi for the damage he had received. This outsider had caused him to lose face in front of the woman he admired, and the most ridiculous thing was that the person he admired was actually on that person's side.
This psychological trauma gave John an impulse, and this impulse led him to do something that could be called crazy.
The lighter was struck, and a ball of flame rose up, leaping into John's hand. And it grew bigger and bigger, soon reaching the size of a basketball. Seeing this, Zhou Yi understood a little. The young man before him was actually a Mutant with Fire Control Ability.
But he seemed a bit pathetic; he could only control, not generate. Just this alone was enough to make him a weakling. The power of fire came from its source. If he couldn't create a strong enough flame, and could only manipulate small flames created artificially, then no matter how skillfully he played with it, he couldn't threaten those who were truly powerful.
So, Zhou Yi could only sigh deeply at the young man's actions. He made a final attempt to persuade him.
"Young man, I'll give you one last chance. Turn around and leave, and I can pretend you weren't here?" This was the classic style of a mafia boss, telling the riffraff to get out of the way. It directly burned the last fuse in John's brain.
He gritted his teeth and fiercely threw the flaming basketball in his hand. The scorching flames burned the air, making a crackling sound, and the entire ball kept expanding during its flight. Soon, when this flaming basketball flew in front of Zhou Yi, it was already about the size of an elephant's head.
And in the face of this ball of fire, neither Zhou Yi nor Xiaruisi showed any signs of wavering. It was as if, in their eyes, everything before them was nothing more than a ridiculous circus performance. And, in fact, that was pretty much the case.
For Zhou Yi, this ball of fire was completely meaningless. Even the Mutant's ability, called John, held no value in his eyes. Compared to him, John was far from mastering fire.
Zhou Yi raised a finger, and the massive fireball seemed to be drawn in by an invisible force, surging towards his fingertip. Despite John's efforts to control his ability, he couldn't stop the fire.
In the blink of an eye, the huge fireball condensed into a tiny flame, dancing on Zhou Yi's finger. If you looked closely, you'd see it was a truly dancing flame, with the tiny core shaped like a young girl, gracefully twirling on his finger.
This was the pinnacle of fire control, a sight that the Mutant named John unfortunately missed. He was sweating profusely, fiddling with his lighter, as if trying to replicate his previous feat. Zhou Yi didn't even have the inclination to teach such a clueless person.
So, he flicked his finger lightly. The flame immediately transformed into a ferocious beast, emitting a loud roar as it lunged at the young man. For someone so oblivious, a lesson he'd never forget was the best approach.
