Togata walks through the school the next day looking for Mira.

''Tick where'd you see her?''. Togata asks.

''She should be over by her class as she goes for lunch a bit late''. Tick says.

''And how do you know that specific bit of information?''. Togata asks.

''Well you asked me to find her without reason I was just investigating some things just in case you fancy the young maiden''. Tick says.

''Uh huh, you could have just checked my memories you know?''. Togata points out.

''I would but, I wouldn't want to discourage you, the website I'm on said that teenagers are often more willing to talk about romance when they believe it's a secret, so we'll set some memory boundaries for now''. Tick says.

''You should stop going to that website''. Togata sighs as he sees her.

''Mira, hey''. Togata greets.

Mira is speaking with her friend as they gasp and leave.

Mira turns around nervously looking at him. ''Togata...Hey...I...''.

''I'm sorry''. They both say at the same time.

''Huh? Mira no I mean I'm sorry for yesterday, I found out the recording was real and I overstepped, you were just looking out for me and I insulted you forgive me''. Togata says bowing.

''What? No I'm sorry Togata! I'm the one that overstepped, that was none of my business but there I was meddling''. Mira says.

''No you weren't, that was really nice of you to try and warn me thank you''. Togata says.

Mira blushes as she twiddles her fingers nervously. ''You don't need to thank me for looking out for you Togata...I'll do it without hesitation''.

''Oh my''. Tick says in Togata's head, distracting him a bit.

''But I just want you to know that Aira isn't actually like that...She just says some stuff that might seen harsh but she's a really good person as well, she was just mad cause of the rumors, do you understand?''. Togata asks.

''Honestly no...I don't think even friends should say that kind of stuff to each other...But I know your not stupid so I trust you...But promise me that you won't allow her treat you like that''. Mira says.

Togata smiles genuinely as he takes Mira's hand. ''Thanks a lot, I consider you a close friend now as well''.

Mira blushes even more as she stutters. ''T...Thank you!''.

''Well I have to go now, nice talking to you, take care''. Togata says with a smile.

''Take care Togata!''. Mira says as she waves energetically.

Her friends immediately come towards her and giggle as they watch Togata leave.

''Well she was quite nervous wasn't she, I believe she is head over heels for you young master''. Tick jokes.

''Don't be ridiculous Tick, she was just being nice, plus of course she'd be nervous they still think of me like some sort of celebrity...''. Togata replies.

''For the first time I disagree''. Tick comments.

''Uh huh, don't you have somewhere to be?''. Togata asks.

''Hmm you seem to be sending me off more recently, but this about finishing our house so I will obey this one time''. Tick says as he flies off. ''Have a good day young master''.

''Thanks''. Togata sighs with a smile as he heads towards the workshop.

As he arrives he sees Aira leaning against the wall near the door, face down, eyes closed with her arms crossed as she absentmindedly strokes her hair.

She opens her eyes to seem him as Togata looks at her as the two say nothing to each other. Togata scoots past as he opens the door and goes inside.

Without looking directly at him, she follows him inside, her usual confidence faltering slightly.

Togata heads straight to work as he looks backwards at her as she stares at him.

Togata turns back around as he continues working.

''Hey''. Aira says calmly as though nothing is happening.

''Hi''. Togata replies.

''What's up with you?''. Aira asks as she moves closer.

''What do you mean?''. Togata replies still not turning around.

''Oh you know what...How long are you gonna keep this up for?''. Aira asks.

''What?''. Togata asks.

''This one word answers thing your doing? What are you mad or something?''. Aira asks.

''I don't know what you're talking about''. Togata replies.

''Liar, ever since yesterday you've been quiet and distant like I don't exist. You're mad aren't you? About what I said earlier''. Aira says.

''No...I'm not''. Togata replies.

''You totally are, if you want me to apologize then you're wasting your time''. Aira says.

''I'm not, what you said didn't hurt me, In fact I already forgave you''. Togata says.

''Oh yeah, then what's up with the weird attitude? You just give me one word replies and stare endlessly when I'm speaking not to mention you didn't laugh at all with me yesterday''. Aira asks.

Togata is stunned that she noticed but then speaks.

''Nothing...I guess I just finally realized what you think of me''. Togata replies.

''Which is?''. Aira asks.

''Every time we meet you make it abundantly clear that you don't care about me or what I do and you're just doing your job as leader, great. I respect that so I'm treating you like I would treat any other person. I won't burden you with my presence and shit stain face''. Togata says.

''I knew you were mad!''. Aira says triumphantly.

''Not really it's just I finally understand that you don't want me around and that's alright, I've done everything I can to make you like me, that's why I even pretended to be dead to see if you really just hated my guts but it seems you do, so...I'm responding accordingly''. Togata says.

''I don't hate your guts alright? It's just...You try to make everyone like you or something and news flash sometimes not everyone can like you. I mean that's why you rushed over to apologize to that bitch Mira''. Aira says.

''No...See that's what you got wrong. I don't care about what some random strangers think of me, I apologized because it was the right thing to do. What I do care about is what people I care about think of me''. Togata says.

Aira looks at him thinking about what he just said as Togata also thinks about what he just said. ''Ok that was confusing''. Togata admits.

''Yes it was''. Aira replies.

''But you get the point. I've tried all I can to fit into this group and I've done that with everyone else but you. So it's alright I understand if you don't want to interact with my ass-wipe personality so we can keep our distance''. Togata says as he returns to work.

Aira is stopped in her tracks as he looks down guilty. ''I don't want to keep distance ok?!". Aira admits.

''Huh?''. Togata says confused.

''I don't want you to treat me like everyone else because I'm not hear me!''. Aira sighs as she gets nervous. ''I'm sorry, I didn't mean it really I was just mad okay?! I did like talking to you, I could just be myself without being judged, you laughed at my insults and I didn't mind the talks we used to have either....So just go back to treating me the way you did before got it!?''. Aira demands.

''So you're asking for my friendship?''. Togata asks.

''No I'm saying we should go back to the way things were before''. Aira corrects.

''You're horrible at apologizing''. Togata says as he turns around with a smile as he sighs. ''Yeah relationships with people are complicated''.

''You heard me, so don't be so smug''. Aira says.

Togata laughs. ''Fine I know...Ok we're 'cool' as they say, apology accepted''.

''Really??''. Aira asks.

''Really''. Togata replies.

''I don't believe you, you still look mad''. Aira says.

Togata sighs walks over as he grabs her hand and kisses it. ''Yeah I care about you too, boss lady ya bitch''.

Aira blushes furiously as she doesn't know how to react.

Togata walks to the door. ''C'mon this emotional stuff is really draining and frankly it has me famished, let's go eat lunch with the others...Shall we?''. Togata jokes.

Aira composes herself as she shakes her head and struts towards the door with her usual pride. ''We shall''.

Togata just smiles and sighs as he sees her walk out the door and follows her.

''Alright here's the deal with this thing we've got going on. Don't expect me to treat you like I treat Takakura, this is a mere friendship''. Aira says.
