Emma pov
I walked down the school block, my slender and graceful figure looking stunning in the morning sun making boys ogle and distracted, but no one dared to approach me.
I briskly walked to my locker, took out some textbooks and headed to class. My best friend, Ariana ran up to me excitedly waving her phone in the air.
"Emma! Emma! You need to see this…. No! You must!"
She shouted almost out of breath when she got to me.
"Look, he is the most hottest guy in the world! Although no one had seen him, his features alone are driving girls crazy!" Ariana hyped showing me a picture.
But I just took a casual glance at the photo and turned away. But suddenly, I turned back and grabbed Ariana wrist.
"Who do you say he is?" I asked agitated.
Ariana's face twisted in agony. "He…he is the owner of the shayan group. Please let go of my hand before I need an x ray!"
I quickly released my grip and composed myself. "Am sorry, I just…felt he looks like someone" I said still using the corner of my eyes to peep at the photo.
Ariana's eyes widened in shock and words hanged in her throat "you….you….have seen him in real….real life?" She asked like someone having a seizure. I rolled my eyes helplessly, "its not a big deal, besides he isn't even human…" I quickly closed my mouth when i realized i had just let the secret slip.
Luckily, Ariana didn't hear that because she was busy fantasizing about if she was the one that met Reno in reality. The loud bell brought her back to her senses and we both headed to class.
At recess, everyone has gone out of the class including Ariana. I stretched lazily on my seat and stood up to leave the class but i was accosted by Clara, Mira and Jasmine the three school bullies by the door.
"Princess Emma, I think I had reminded you times without number to stay away from William? But since you have a strong head, I will teach you your place today" Clara said threateningly.
I laughed loud and long, my whole body quaking in amusement. "William? What William? that rich but stupid idiot? Come on, look at me, like you called me "Princess Emma" I can't fall for such a fool even if I am out of options. He is just obsessed with me and begging for what Is far above his level" I said narcissistically.
My face turned serious and cold "And the next time you try this nonsense of stopping me, you won't like your miserable selves." I sternly warned and brushed them away before walking away swaying my tiny waist.
"Argggggh! I hate that girl so much. Whenever I see her, I feel like puking" Jasmine said rolling her eyeballs.
When I got home, I met mom and dad sitting in the living room starring forlorn at empty space. My heart skipped as many negative thoughts immediately clouded my mind.
"Mom, dad! What is wrong? Where is Mario?" I asked panicked running to hug them. But my mom bursted into tears on my shoulders crying like a little girl.
"Mom, what is going on? Is everything alright?" I asked again tears beginning to cloud in my own eyes.
"Emma baby, we are going bankrupt!" Her dad said in a teary voice handing me a tablet. I staggered back in shock on seeing her low our family company has gone.
"When did this happen and why didn't you tell me all this while?"
My dad sniffles, "It all started six months ago and since then, we have been going down the drain"
"What can be done? There is still hope right?" I asked anxiously. My dad shrugged "I have been asking for help from everywhere but non is forth coming. We are just coming from the Arthur family and we were told that they will only help if you get married to William.
I laughed in realization and my mind flashed back to what happened at the cafeteria earlier today.
Flash back:
I casually walked into the cafeteria after the incident in the classroom. I drew attention as usual as I passed by.
I ran into William who was about ordering food. "Hi pretty girl, we meet again. Want some food?" He asked boldly trying to hold my hand.
I slapped him away in disgust and shifted not wanting to create a scene, but he followed me and tried holding my hand again. Annoyed, I took a stainless tray used for serving and whipped it on his head making a funny rattling sound and making everyone laugh hard.
Surprisingly, he didn't get angry and just laughed like I was a joke.
"Playing hard to get right? Well, its just a matter of time before you beg to become mine." He whispered as he walked away leaving me wondering.
But it all made sense now.....

Remembering this, I felt nauseous. And almost retched in utter disgust. William? Never! That man-woman? There have to be another way.
I sighed and looked at my parents who were looking at me hopefully.
"Mom, dad, I can't marry William. Isn't there another way?"
My dad nodded slowly, "yes but I don't really know if its a good ideal"
"Why is it?"
"Going on a blind date with Mr Vandxander."
"Who is that with such a strange name?"
He shrugged, "I don't know either. When I reached out to them for help, I was told if you can go on a date with him, they will help us with fifty billion."
I jumped up, "fifty billion for just one blind date?" I asked covering my mouth in amazement. "Then what are you waiting for? This is much more better than marrying a fool" I sneered.
My dad sighed in defeat. "Am so sorry for letting you go through all this my baby" he said picking up his phone to contact Mr Vandxander.
I nodded and patted my dad's shoulder "I owe it all to you dad. You are the best. Mom, please take it easy. Its going to be alright" I comforted and headed upstairs to my younger brother, Mario.
"Hello sister! Welcome!" He shouted excitedly jumping on my body looking so adorable. I laughed and ruffles his thick brown hair.
"How are you teddy bear?" I asked squatting to his height and dragging his soft cheeks.
"I am so excited sister, I came first in my class test. My teacher told everyone to clap for me" he said laughing happily his white teeth gleaming.
"That is my brilliant brother! I know you will grow up to be a pilot and drive big aeroplane."
"Yes sister, I am going to make you proud!" He beamed. They both laughed and i left to my room.
I slowly took off my uniform and entered into the shower letting the cold water beat my bare body and letting my thought wander. Tomorrow is saturday and am going on a blind date with a so called Mr Vandxander.
