Elisabeth's POV
"Wait, so you actually told your father to go to hell and walked out?" Alana's voice practically vibrated with barely contained excitement as she leaned across the small cafe table, her dark eyes sparkling with anticipation.
I groaned, rubbing my temples while staring down at my untouched salad. "Alana, for the love of God, I didn't tell him to go to hell. I simply said I wouldn't go back to Andy, and I'm not repeating this story again."
Alana completely ignored my exasperation, as she always did when something captured her interest. "I just needed to make absolutely sure!" she practically shrieked, bouncing in her chair like an overexcited child. She lunged forward and grabbed my shoulders, her face mere inches from mine. "Elisabeth, do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for this moment? You finally grew a spine and told your father where to stick it! Okay, maybe not your mother too, but hey, one parent down is still progress!"
