Elisabeth's POV
"Nadia, get back!" I shouted, terror flooding my voice.
She hadn't even had a chance to reply when a blood-curdling scream shattered the night air. My heart stopped as I whirled around to see Nadia stagger backward, her phone clattering to the ground as she let out another piercing shriek.
"Nadia!" Both Alana and I cried out at the same time.
We raced toward her, my feet barely touching the ground as adrenaline surged through me. My chest burned as I pushed harder, but then I heard it—a threatening growl rumbling behind me. Ice shot through my veins as I looked over my shoulder. A enormous wolf was charging straight at Nadia, its luminous eyes fixed on her as she crawled backward on her hands, face drained of all color.
We were surrounded.
The truth hit me like a sledgehammer. My eyes swept frantically across the area, desperately seeking a way out, but wolves were advancing from every direction.
"Get out of here!" I yelled, knowing it was hopeless.
