Chapter 168 - Helping Someone Else Activate Lightning Armor?

Although it still couldn't compare to the Lightning Release Chakra Armor of the Land of Lightning, it was more than enough to significantly boost the user's speed.

Techniques like Chidori and its related variants had actually been developed and tested by Arata long ago. He simply hadn't used them much. In the beginning, it was because his chakra reserves were too small—one use would drain him completely—so unless he had no other choice, he wouldn't rely on them.

After mastering the Rumble-Rumble ability, there was even less reason to use Chidori. For Arata, Chidori was actually a waste of stamina; using the same amount of energy on Rumble-based techniques produced far greater power.

Even Rasengan, which Naruto relied on so heavily, was something Arata had already mastered. Although his strength wasn't impressive back when he first arrived in this world and didn't yet have a system, his talent for developing techniques had always been outstanding.

That was precisely why, later on, when he entered Lightning Armor, he was able to directly create the Lightning God Sphere. He already had experience from developing Rasengan earlier, which allowed him to replicate and refine it so smoothly.

Wind and Water chakra natures weren't bad by any means—but they offered little direct support for developing taijutsu. Because of that, Arata knew he'd need to put in extra effort to help this girl going forward.

Still, lacking a Lightning affinity didn't mean Lightning Release was unusable. It simply meant higher chakra consumption and slightly weaker results.

Arata understood this clearly. After frowning briefly, he smiled and said,

"In that case, you'll have to work a bit harder from now on. Sit down—I'll help you activate Lightning Armor."

Kushina had been worried that having only two chakra natures would make Arata disappointed. Seeing that he didn't seem to mind at all, her mood immediately improved.

But when she heard the words Lightning Armor, she couldn't help but stare in shock.

"L-Lightning Armor? Arata-niisan, that's your ultimate move, right? I… I can use that too?"

Seeing her reaction, Arata laughed.

"With my level of control, I can help someone else activate it. It won't last very long, but during that time, your taijutsu training efficiency will increase several times over."

Arata could already separate lightning constructs from his body, manipulate thunderclouds, and control Rumble energy externally. Helping someone else enter a first-stage Lightning Armor was effortless for him.

The only limitation was duration. The energy couldn't be maintained for too long—at most a few hours before it dissipated completely.

But that was more than enough.

Kushina was still young. Even if she could train taijutsu, she couldn't handle extremely long sessions anyway. Five or six hours was plenty; after that, she could switch to lower-intensity training.

Of course, Arata could extend the duration—but that would increase the lightning's intensity as well. Kushina's body wouldn't be able to withstand it yet. If it caused internal damage, the loss would outweigh the benefits.

Once her physique reached jōnin level, Arata estimated he could let her stay in Lightning Armor for much longer periods.

At this point, Kushina's admiration for Arata deepened even further.

Lightning Release was the hardest of all chakra natures to control. Most people struggled just to manage it within their own bodies. Arata, on the other hand, could manipulate lightning as if it were an extension of himself—and even detach it to stimulate someone else's muscles.

The thought alone made Kushina brimming with anticipation.

"That's amazing! Arata-niisan, let's start!"

With that, she sat down immediately, eagerly waiting for him to activate Lightning Armor for her.

Seeing how impatient she was, Arata chuckled, then sat down across from her. His expression quickly turned serious.

This was his first time attempting something like this, so he needed to be extremely careful. Lightning was far more dangerous than ordinary external energy—one mistake could damage Kushina's internal organs.

Before beginning, Arata used his Mind Net to completely analyze Kushina's bodily structure, ensuring he had a precise understanding of every muscle's shape and distribution.

Seeing how cautious he was, Kushina also became tense. What she didn't understand was why Arata hadn't done anything yet—he was just staring at her.

She didn't really mind, though.

Arata was handsome, kind, and strong, and she found herself wishing she could spend more time around him.

Without really meaning to, she began thinking about the future. If she ever did fall for someone one day, she hoped it would be a person with real strength and character-someone dependable, someone admirable.

People like that were rare in the shinobi world. In fact, at least for now, Arata was the only one she could think of who truly fit that image.

While she was lost in these thoughts, Arata finally finished analyzing her body and felt fully confident about the next step.

"Here we go."

Arata's sudden words snapped Kushina out of her daydream. She immediately straightened up and nodded firmly.

In the next instant, Lightning Armor activated around Arata. His entire body was wrapped in crackling lightning—but this time, the output was extremely restrained.

The lightning rapidly compressed, shrinking down within moments until it matched Kushina's body size.

This was Lightning Armor, custom-tailored specifically for her.

Arata then carefully guided the lightning and slowly draped it over Kushina's body.

Watching this, Kushina was filled with awe. Arata's control over lightning was beyond anything she had imagined—it moved like living flesh under his command, without the slightest instability.

Once Lightning Armor covered her body, Kushina felt a gentle tingling sensation spread through her muscles. There was no discomfort at all.

Instead, she felt as if her body were overflowing with strength. She almost wanted to throw a full-powered punch just to see how much stronger she'd become.

Seeing this, Arata finally let out a breath of relief.

Everything had gone smoothly—Kushina's Lightning Armor activation was a success.

Although her appearance hadn't changed, the activity level of her cells had reached an extremely high state. Training taijutsu now would not only be safer, but far more effective.

A faint layer of electric arcs flickered around her body. They looked impressive, but carried virtually no danger. Even if a child brushed against them, it would at most feel a little itchy.

Only Arata's level of control made this possible. Even Lightning Release masters from the Land of Lightning could only manage this effect within their own bodies—helping someone else do it was completely impossible for them.

Kushina was already itching to move, and Arata could tell immediately.

"All right, you can start training now. Begin with sit-ups and push-ups—one thousand of each."

If any ordinary five-year-old were subjected to that kind of regimen, they'd probably wreck their body within days.

But Kushina had Lightning Armor supporting her.

Not only was it manageable—it looked like she'd still have energy left for even more training afterward.
