Chapter 12 - 12

Alvin's mood soured the moment he arrived at school and ran into Professor Cage.

When Alvin was in a bad mood, the students at school were in for a rough time.

"What are you doing holding hands during school hours? Separate! What? Freedom to love? I went to school for twelve years and never had a relationship, so why should you! Separate! Otherwise, you'll all be locked in the darkroom! This is outrageous! No one in our school, from first to twelfth grade, is allowed to date. You should spend that time doing more test papers and exercises."

Nelson, seeing the situation was not good, quickly found an excuse to slip away, knowing Alvin was in a bad mood and not wanting to become cannon fodder.

"What are you doing jumping around? Playing around at the stairwell? What if you fall and die? Go back to your classrooms and read."

"Spitting on the ground? Who gave you the guts? Go to the utility room, grab a mop, and clean the entire hallway for me! What? Other places aren't dirty because of you! Idiot, then go mop two floors! This is punishment, don't you know?!"

"And you lot, what are you doing painting yourselves like that? All of you, get to the restroom, wash up, and then come out! Crying! It's useless, hurry up and wash! And tomorrow, dye all your hair back to its original color. If I see any strange colors again, I'll have JJ shave it all off! Still not going?!"

After causing chaos throughout the school, Alvin had mostly vented his anger. Seeing his office ahead, Alvin decided to take a break.

As the head of the school, his office was quite spacious, divided into an inner and outer room, with the outer room containing the principal's secretary's desk.

When Alvin pushed the door open, a plump Black woman in a white floral dress was applying makeup in front of a small mirror. Seeing Alvin enter, she rushed over, embraced him, and gave him a series of enthusiastic kisses.

"Oh, Olivia, you're too passionate. I think you look even more beautiful today. Do you have any secrets? I need to go back and teach my server; he still doesn't quite know how to dress himself." Alvin gently pushed the Black woman away, joking.

The Black woman, Olivia, let out a hearty "Oh ho ho" laugh and said, "Alvin, you're such a charmer. I wish you'd come to work here every day. I heard that old geezer Cage came to bother you again today?

Don't worry, next time let me handle him. His wife, Mrs. Cage, is a good friend of mine now. I can make him suffer a bit when he gets home!"

Alvin shivered. If old man Cage found out he was trying to mess with him, would life still be bearable? He quickly stopped Olivia's bad idea and asked, "Is there anything today?" As he spoke, he walked towards his office.

He sat in a luxurious executive chair, crossing his legs, listening to Olivia's report.

"Several parents called to complain, saying their children were being abused and wanted the school to change its schedule. Someone else called and swore a lot.

The Ministry of Education called and said they received a report and would be coming here to inspect."

Olivia finished, smiling triumphantly at Alvin, and said, "I chewed out everyone who called to complain or swear. I've handed over the Ministry of Education matter to Nelson."

Alvin nodded in satisfaction, smiling, and said, "Well done, Olivia, I knew you'd be a good helper."

"Oh, Professor Wilson came to look for you and said to let him know when you arrived. Should I go inform him?" Olivia asked.

Alvin nodded. Professor Wilson was a steady person and wouldn't come looking for him without a reason. He gestured for Olivia to go inform Professor Wilson, then propped his legs on the office desk, wondering where he could get money.

This school was truly a money pit. The Ministry of Education's allocation, plus the five million he'd scrounged from Kingpin, was simply not enough.

Loans were not a reliable path. As a commoner in China in his previous life, he never had the habit of borrowing money to spend.

Upon arriving in this world, Alvin had done some research. In this world, there were two wealthy individuals he knew and understood: one was the playboy Tony Stark, who was still out having fun and chasing women, and the other was Norman Osborn of Osborn Corporation.

One was Iron Man, the other the Green Goblin. These were the only two super-rich people Alvin knew. But how could he extract money from them?

Both were super-rich, and Alvin, a restaurant owner from Hell's Kitchen, couldn't possibly get close to them.

Alvin was very frustrated. The only superhero he knew since coming to this world was Matt Murdock, Daredevil, but he was a standard pauper. He and Foggy would come to him for handouts a few days every month, so making money from him was out of the question.

Just as he was racking his brain, Olivia came in with Professor Wilson.

Professor Wilson was a handsome old man, nearly seventy years old. Many female teachers at the school were infatuated with him. Every time Alvin saw him, he was reminded of the Hollywood star Sean Connery from his previous life; the old man got handsomer with age.

Alvin stood up, offered Wilson a seat on the sofa, instructed Olivia to pour two cups of coffee, and then asked, "Professor, what can I do for you? Please don't let it be about money; Professor Cage is driving me insane."

Professor Wilson smiled, looking at the flustered Alvin, and said, "Don't worry, I'm not here for money. It's just that recently I found a strange little girl outside the school. She might be an illegal immigrant, and I'd like to bring her to the school.

I don't want to see a four or five-year-old girl wandering around dangerous Hell's Kitchen; it's too dangerous for her."

Hearing it was just about accepting a little girl into the school, Alvin breathed a sigh of relief. As long as it wasn't about money, it was fine. Before Professor Wilson could finish, Alvin smiled and said, "No problem, let her come. I'll tell Nelson to handle her enrollment. For her identity issue, I can ask Michael to think of a solution."

Professor Wilson smiled and waved his hand, saying, "I've already resolved her identity issue, and she's already attended two days of classes. I'm here to talk to you about something else." He finished, looking at Alvin with a knowing smile.

Alvin suddenly had a bad feeling. This little girl might not be a simple matter. He didn't dare to respond to Professor Wilson, just narrowed his eyes and watched him, waiting to see what he would say.

Professor Wilson, after all, wasn't a stubborn old rogue like Professor Cage. He said with a hint of shame, "My wife and I have completed the adoption procedures for this little girl, but we've found that we simply don't have enough energy. There's too much work at school.

We realized we couldn't take good care of her, so I hope, Alvin, you can take care of this child on our behalf. She's wonderful, and I've given her a name: Ginny Ye." He finished, stood up, and bowed slightly, saying solemnly, "I hope you can adopt her."

Alvin heard that Professor Wilson had even named the child, Ginny Ye, taking Alvin's surname, Ye. To say he wasn't deliberate was an insult to Alvin's intelligence.

He suppressed the urge to punch Professor Wilson's nose, but considering the old man and his wife had dedicated themselves to the school, he endured it!

He reluctantly agreed to Professor Wilson's request, promising to pick up Ginny Ye after school.

Seeing that his task was complete, the old professor stood up, straightened his collar, nodded to Alvin, and returned to work.

Allow me to be a bit self-indulgent. I originally wasn't considering X-Men characters. However, after recently rewatching Logan, the warmth between the little girl X-23 Laura Kinney and the old Wolverine left a deep impression, and I really love the character of X-23. Let her make a cameo; no other X-Men characters will appear later.
